Love it every one was really nice
Fantastic food and fantastic service- what more can one ask for. Our waiter (Tino) was fantastic and very attentive as was the chef who came out to say hello along with the entire staff. Great job.

I never write negative reviews, but after our service at Morton's Downtown, I feel compelled to do so.We were the only table in the dining room on a Friday night and the service was pathetic. We spent well over $1,000 and the manager gave a guest a hard time about his VIP status and after hour dinner cocktails.
Sticking to Pappa's Steakhouse from now on.
We love Morton's and this is the best Morton's where we have ever dined. Food, service, and everything else was great. The Assistant Manager, Gabriel Espinosa, visited us at our table and you could not find a more gracious or accommodating host. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and plan on revisiting every time I get to Houston.
I was extremely disappointed. We came to celebrate valentine's day and our first child being born. I specifically asked if I could have something special done. Whether it be a card or some small gesture to make it romantic. No, nothing on the table just a regular table in the middle. The server seemed rushed and uninterested. He kept asking if we decided and seemed to get annoyed when we couldn't decide. He didn't make it an experience. I asked him questions about the food which he said "it's good" The food wasn't hot when it came out even though you can watch the chefs cooking. I spent $200 JUST on dinner. I still tipped the server at least 18 percent but, I was not happy. The manager kept talking to the table behind us all night. I stared at him a few times but, he was into his conversation about how he just got a house etc etc.. he did not touch our table once to see how we were doing. I don't think I'll be returning. I cancelled a reservation at the spindle top restaurant to have dinner here because of the reviews and menu. I'm a server and I could've gotten better service and food somewhere less expensive. I understand that I'm not rich. I do not go eat at places like that on the regular. I'm a damn good tipper though and he would've gotten a waaaaay bigger tip if he had just been more personable. He didn't even ask us if we were celebrating anything or just having a night out. I'm extremely upset. I tried to keep my cool because I didn't want to ruin it for my husband but, he knew I was annoyed and unhappy with the level of service and food. I could've gone to my job, had waaay better, cheaper lobster mac n cheese, and even gotten 50% off. Watching all the other tables interact with their servers lauughing and having a good time while we were sitting there staring at everyone without one person to ask us if we were OK or needed anything. Drinks took forever and it wasn't even that busy for a Saturday.
Probably one of the best steaks I've every had! We loved it!
Late Valentine’s Day
Good time. A light was flicker the whole time and the steak was seared too much, but overall a solid place
Food was good, the servers lack training. They worked as if it were a Denny’s, not a Morton’s.
Everything went wrong - wine had cork but got a new bottle, 2 steaks were cold and 1 over cooked.
Tried to heat up the 2 steaks in the microwave and just wanted to replace the over cooked.
Did complain that we were actually trying to have a dinner together and finally they decided to prepare 3 new steaks and they came out good.
No discount was offered - definitely not what you expect from a Morton’s

Really good for the lunch get together. Left very pleased all around, no issues, service as needed not overwhelming, food very tasty, only 4/5 because I reserve 5/5 for immaculate experiences.
very overcrowded and unorganized. The staff was overwhelmed and was having issues controlling the amount of people waiting for tables. Once seated we waited over 20 minutes before anyone even came over. We then have 3 different people come over and ask the same questions. After all that no one brought our beverages. Once we received our meal, no one ever came back until they dropped off the bill. I have been at Morton's all over the country and this was a terrible experience in Downtown Houston. I will never go back to this particular Morton's again. I will find another steakhouse in Houston
Amazing steak, chicken and sides. Great service. Did not disappoint!
Our occasion was pre theatre dinner. We had a 5 PM reservation and was seated immediately. The onion bread was just out of the oven and delicious. We ordered Bacon Wrapped Scallops (good) and Crab Cake (average) for appetizers. The crab cake had to much binder and a small amount of lump crab meat.
The wife had the 20oz bone in Rib Eye cooked medium (delicious). The outside was seared just right and the center cooked perfectly. I had the Chicken Bianco (delicious). We shared the twice baked Au Gratin Potatoes and Key Lime Pie for dessert. Of course, we needed to go bags.
Very slow service to begin with. Food was good but a little pricey. Drinks were average. Overall a decent experience but probably not a great value.
The salmon at lunch was good, but overpriced at $38.
Very nice birthday celebration
Food was horrible. Ordered a $62 Porterhouse medium rare. It came out as this small, 1/2 inch thick, well done horrible tasting excuse for a steak. Took one bite and sent it back. They offered to bring something else but every other person The table had a poor quality, over done steak so I said no thanks. They didn’t even take the uneaten steak off the bill at the end of the meal. Will never go back to Morton’s. It was good years ago but they sold out and the new owner has destroyed this icon. Even our waiter admitted that things had changed a lot and not for the better. I’d recommend avoiding Morton’s and choose a steakhouse that still serves a quality product.

Hosted our friends here for a birthday. Top notch service and the food was amazing. Really liked the shrimp cocktail presentation. This sounds lame, but the onion soup is actually better than the one I had in Paris at the Xmas market. Steak was perfect. Will be back.
We went to dinner for NYE and had a great time. However some of the food lacked salt and our waitress was absent. It took a long time for us to be greeted, have the table cleared and our beverage service was lacking as well. Im assuming her lack of availability also explains why my husband was served cold bisque. I expect a little more from a place like this even on NYE. However, the steak was one of the best I’ve had in a while and the other staff tried to help fill in the gaps.
Waited about 15 minutes to get our menus because there was a shortage and had to ask three times to see a cocktail menu. But other than that the food was excellent from the bread to the oysters to everyone’s steak and lobster, we finished it all!
They weren’t prepared for NYE staff wise. Brandon was great but everyone else was confused with table numbers for food deliveries. As a Vic and Anthony’s couple we were impressed with the shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque...nothing else.
The food and service were outstanding! We usually go to the Galleria location, however we will be back again.
Terrible service! It was my boyfriends and I first time going there and we were very disappointed in the service. Long story short, we were seated and completely forgot about. A waiter asked if we wanted water, we said yes but he never went back. We had to ask for the menus ourselves because they were never taken to us. The menus they took to us were dirty with food. A family got seated at a table near us AFTER us and they quickly got their menus and drink order taken. Everyone else was getting helped except for us. After 10-15 minutes of being ignored, we decided to leave.
Wonderful steak selection and wine list is extensive. Side dishes can serve 2-3 folks so make a selection.

The ambience was great, but the service was poor. It took over 30 minutes just to get cocktails. Waitress was not attentive- she paid absolutely no attention to detail. It took over an hour to receive our dinner salads. The waitress ignored how long we had to wait- she made no apologies. I expect much better service from a restaurant of this caliber.
This was Christmas Eve dinner for the family, the girlfriend and my daughter. I thought Morton’s would be a good place to treat the two of my favorite people alive. Was not disappointed at all. Great apps and a martini to start with, then we moved on to a great bottle of wine and the main course. Steaks all around as expected, my 11 year old had a 8oz filet which was small for her but she tore through it, probably not tasting anything, the kid is a T-Rex reincarnated. I thought about the wagu but went ribeye bone in. Again fantastic by all counts. The lobster bisque needs a little more attention to detail, I understand you don’t want to cut up the lobster but maybe not just one huge chunk. Over all great meal will be back agaian...
The service and atmosphere were great. However I wasn’t impressed by the rubbery steak and watery macaroni with fake lobster chunks. The cream spinach was more cream than spinach. I was really disappointed and this was my first time there. I’ve had better meals at III Forks and Ruth Chris. I felt bad that my husband had to pay for this expensive restaurant bill with subpar food.

Morton's downtown has always been one of my to go places for business lunches, until now.
Sadly my last time our experience was at best fair, and that is based on the attentiveness of our server.
We waited a long time for everything, food, dessert,etc.
I can understand it being the holiday season and places at busier than norm but that should not allow for the quality of food to drop. Our steakes were sad looking on a plate garnished with a few wilted leaves of green, they were in such sad state we couldn't tell what kind of plant it was. I ordered a medium rare fillet but it came out more like rare, it took so long to get it in the first place I didn't want to send it back
Our waiter was not attentive nor did he seem to want to serve us. The food was below par as well.
We were seated at 12:30 with a reservation with a group from work. They were busy and it was quite loud, but expected for a busy restaurant. Food was good, as it has been every other time I've been there.
Biggest issue was missing waiter and slow service. Waiter was no where to be found for much of the time we were there. No water refills unless we asked. Some folks at my table ordered cappuccinos that took 10-15 minutes to come out. Check took quite some time to arrive after asking for it.
We celebrated my daughters 18th Birthday at Morton’s downtown location. It was wonderful. They personalized the menus for my daughter.. which was unexpected. The service was great and food excellent. I recommend this location for all occasions.
I had the pleasure to be with Morton since more than 10 year at different locations.
All times I received new experiences, but however, the Steak´s are always outstanding !
