The food was great! The second order of filet Mignon was a little over cooked, though. The waitress was very nice and professional!
Best service ever! Glasses filled attentively. Food delivery was spaced appropriately to allow mingling time. The sommelier stopped by and gave great advice. The chef came by too just to check on us. The servings were large which was highly appreciated since the prices were expensive. Doggy bag was packed cheerfully (separate containers so no food touching) as requested.
Very educated waitress, delicious meal, friendly, attentive staff. Will come back again...once I’ve saved enough money!
Went on a Friday with a friend and had a very nice Lunch menu from the lunch special (app, entree, dessert). Was pleasantly surprised the waitress offered lots of choices that we could sub for vs what was on the menu. The waitress was excellent and very friendly.
Pretty loud. We had to shout. Service was a bit off. Business partner received wrong order and had to wait for his meal. Dessert came out slow. But food was fantastic.
Food was fantastic as usual. I frequent Morton's in various locations throughout the United States. I arrived early and the staff immediately accommodated us for dinner. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing.
Recommendation would depend on convenience. It was not an overwhelming experience, the food was ok (steak that friend had, good. Salad that i had - not worth it). Waiter was too in our face and noise was loud. However, it was convenient. That is about it.
The food was amazing and the service was good. Just 2 things bothered me, we had a pretty small table for 7 located near the entrance so it was windy. Also another guest walked up to us talking strange things. It was actually funny but pretty weird.
Our server was very thorough and everything was perfect!
The service for our drinks was slow at first, but everything else was superb.
Patrick at the bar was outstanding. The meal he recommended was delicious! His attention to detail was much appreciated.
Hadn't been at the downtown location until this weekend and I must say, that my fiancé, friends and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food and wine were great!
Fantastic food. Fantastic service!
Amazing food! Great atmosphere! My daughter and I had an absolutely phenomenal experience!
LSC should have a special every month! It was amazing.
Everything was amazing! Our servers were top notch and the food was amazing
It was our first visit to this location. First class from the moment we walked in to our saying goodbye. Could not be more pleased or impressed by our experience. Food, excellent. Service, incredible.
Our server Daisy, knows her profession well and didn't missed any detail and is super friendly.
One persons steak was under cooked twice.
Our waiter, Tino (I believe that was his name), was great. He offered specials, mentioned additions that could be made to salads, and offered recommendations. I have been here many times and I feel he is the best!
Could not get order correct. Had to send food back multiple times.
Pricing was a bit much across the board, but the experience was great, and the food perfect. Appetizer (bacon steak), salad (wedge), entre (7 oz wagyu filet), side (lobster mac&cheese), desert (creme brulee), all just 1, and a few drinks: $275 seems a lot for a dinner. That being said, service was great- menu fantastic - preparation perfect. Creme Brulee though - clearly not a specialty, was a let-down after such a nice meal.
New Year's Eve dinner
Excellent food, sevice, ambiance! Would recommend to anyone. Elegant atmosphere! Superb night!
When we arrived, they almost treated us like we did not have a reservation. There were 7 of us and a stroller (which I called and specifically told them when I made the reservation). They seated us at a round table for 5 people with 2extra chairs squeezed in and the very front where we could feel the breeze from the open door (it was freezing). There was no way everyone would fit, let alone food for everyone!
We spoke to several waitresses to get us moved, and they were very unhelpful. It was a holiday meal, but they persisted this table was large enough. There was a table close by for a large number of people, but this was reserved for a”vip” guest. Too bad we were still paying the same price as their vip guest.....
We finally talked to one of the managers, and he put a table together in the bar area. It wasn’t fancy with a tablecloth, but it still worked.
Our server, Daisy was fantastic. Wine selections were amazing.
Visited Mortons for the first time last Saturday as we had heard great things about it. Overall the experience was good but not great. Food and service were good but not great. What I was most bothered about was that we asked for a reccomendation for a full bodied cabernet. They reccomended a meritage instead and when we didnt like it came back with 2 orher wines that were not cabernets. Strange. In any case, not sure if we will be going back with so many other options in Houston.
The restaurant service was really good and easy to book. The place was quiet with a good layout. We were not inpressed with the food. The steak (filet) was not the best and the scallops were a bit undercooked. The main course was served very closely to when we had recieved our salads and it was apologized for but the main course was cold by the time we got to it. The birthday accommodations were really well done but overall not a great experience for the price.
After having been to Morton’s several times over the years, was expecting more. Yes, it was busy being Christmas Eve and a full house. The service was slow but expected being so busy, still acceptable. The food on the other hand, very sub-par. Steaks were luke warm and while two of the sides were hot, the mashed potatoes were cold.
The wine selection and desserts on the other hand were excellent.
Overall, was expecting more from a top notch restaurant, even when busy.
Steak was great. Service by the staff and sommelier was enjoyable.
We enjoyed our Christmas meal while taking my son and wife for their first experience at Morton’s. The food was beautifully presented by very competent waitstaff.
Terrible Christmas Eve experience. There is a vast amount of restaurants to choose from in this area and judging by previous experience in several Morton’s in different states this should have been the right pick. Right from the start, cocktails, there was nothing but problems. Not much of a crowd and still such delay in service. One glass, a Johnny Red neat, was under-poured and still had the glue from the price sticker on it (not a huge deal....for the glue). There was four of us and each pair ordered the same meal, two of the most expensive steaks which were 35-day dry aged bone-In ribeyes 18oz respectively priced at $79/per and two lobster “Oscar”’s which consisted of a 8 oz filet and lobster each priced at $59/per. The steaks came out cooked to temp but completely rough and chewy with zero juice, an obvious cut bait and switch though the manager “assured us we ordered the steaks wrong”, medium rare and rare Pittsburgh...lie #1. They brought us cheaper $52 ribeyes which was several classes above in quality then what we previously ordered. One of the filet and lobster meals arrived with chewy filet and cold lobster, the other was actually fine throughout. Cut to the check. We get the bill and the waiter says our steaks were complimentary because of their fault, which was lie #2 all they did was take off the sent back dog meat (oh gee..thanks). Also, they overcharged both filet and lobster meals at $71 each. We informed them and upon review “apologized” again. Finally, upon receiving the final revised bill we paid with card only to wait 15-20 minutes to get the copy back to sign without a card. On the way out we once again expressed our complete dissatisfaction and conveyed how truly ruined our Christmas Eve dinner was. The manager came outside while we were getting our Uber and offered to pay our next meal. We replied we won’t be back and finally he decided to own up to the sub-par treatment we had to endure and pay our tab. We shall see on our bank statement.
Food and service were very good. We were celebrating an engagement and the server gave us a free dessert and a photo of us. Much appreciated.
Christmas Eve dinner
They Accommodate my vegetarian daughter well. Had a great experience. Highly recommend
One of our go to a spots before a show. Meat quality is always great and cooked to perfection. Could have used a little more seasoning this time. Service was superb. Would recommend leaving a little extra time for getting your car from valet. Unless you're driving a very high end car, they park you around the corner or on the next block. The valet seemed under staffed for a Friday night but it did not impact the rest of our evening.
Morton's Downtown is a great place for a somewhat quick lunch during the work week. Tasty food and professional setting.
They're catering is hands down for private corporate events as well! Great service and attention to detail
We had to move our reservation to one hour later without any problems.
Excellent food and awesome service
