Morton's The Steakhouse - Honolulu Ratings and Reviews
Their steaks are always delicious so this time we tried the Braised Beef Short ribs and the Chicken Christopher. Both are just as delicious as their steaks. The short ribs are served stroganoff-style and the meat just falls right off the bone. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable . This place is just awesome!
I suggested going to Morton with a friend. We dine there a couple of times. This time from the start, my dining experience didn't go well from the parking lot. I know if I pulled into a valet parking space that I have to let the boy drive my car, but I don't want anybody else to drive my car beside me. I do see a couple of open stalls at the valetvparking structure and decided to pulled into an empty parking stall since I am going to dine at Morton that he would let me park there. I would tip him if he do but unfortunately he didn't. Made my friend wait and I have to look for another parking spot. I guess my car was not up to par to park in front of valet to his standard not luxury enough. I have always pulled up at other restaurant in Waikiki Valet and never have to turn my keys over. Only at Morton that I was being rurn away. Our bills for 2 always round $200+ but i always leave about $250 to $260. Now I have to think twice about dining at Morton.
We love Morton's! Although the food is generally excellent, there are many restaurants on Oahu with excellent food. It is the extraordinary service, particularly the experienced servers, Tim and Ed, who make Morton's rise above the competition. After 15 years of dining at virtually all of the fine dining restaurants on Oahu, it is the expertise and personal touch that Ed and Tim provide that brings us back to Morton's. They are the best servers ever! With no exceptions!
The food: our steak and crab crakes were superb. The special tomato salad was a bit bland and not a great selection. The souffle is scrumptious! The wine selection provides a sufficient variety to meet every diner's palette.
The newest remodeling of the dining room did not improve the Morton's experience and arguably negatively impacted the ambiance. And the current background music is more irritating rather than an enhancement of the dining experience. My recommendation: bring back the soundtrack with Sinatra, Martin, and the other classic crooners!
Morton’s is always a great choice for a special occasion. They steaks are always cooked to the correct temperature and the ambiance is wonderful. The menu is a la carte and the prices are high yet not inconsistent with other fine steakhouses. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and she absolutely loves this restaurant. 100% recommend trying Morton’s if you’re looking for a romantic special occasion dinner spot or a great steak. Btw the wine list, sides, and dessert menu are also very good.
Great service all around, from the valet, to the hostess, and from our server Brent. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they made sure to highlight from when they greeted us, to print on the menu, and the special free dessert. Our food came out in timely manner and it tasted excellent. Highly recommend Morton’s for any special occasion or for casual dining.
On the night of my wife's birthday I wanted to take my wife to some place special because she's been through so much this year I really wanted show her how special she is so we decided to go to Morton's. The service was great from the start. As soon as we got out of the elevator we was greeted by the host. She was so friendly that it seemed we were talking to a good friend. As we were seated for dinner we were taken care of like royalty. From the time we received our food until the time we left after dinner the service was wonderful. The server was very helpful in sharing the various items that was on the menu and was open for us to ask other questions that we may have. The food was delicious and made with perfection. What even made it a little more sweeter is when my wife was given a free soufflé which was outstanding. The night was special and all worth it.
We all had a nice dinner we celebrated my step sons belated birthday. The gave him a nice lemon souffle which he liked. My husband wanted him to experience eating in a fine dining restaurant with one the best steaks in town. Which he loves steaks. Thanks again for a really nice evening. Our waitress was very nice and energetic .
Morton's is our go-to special occasions place. We love their tender, delicious porterhouse steaks, and their baked potato is so tender, it's truly melt-in-your-mouth. Our entire dinner was truly delicious. Just a reminder: if you're not crazy about anchovy filets, have them leave it off your Morton's Salad.
The reason we picked this restaurant for our 2nd company retreat was because we were so impressed with everything the first time we went there. Unfortunately this time everything went sour, the food, the service, the ambience, etc. Our steak was overcooked, our meals were mixed up, the side dishes were served only when we reminded the manager that we were half way through our main course and still no side dish! Our server was stressed and she raised her voice when we asked her questions, or even when we ordered food! Our desert was served cold when it was supposed to be smoking hot! The restaurant was overcrowded and noisy. We did not enjoy our dinner at all when things were chaotic and we werent treated respectfully! We were so disappointed!
It took almost an hour to get dinner food. Steak was not cooked just right (probably because it sat on a hot plate too long) but manager did get it replaced quickly. Service tended to focus on big tables so two person tables had to wait.... otherwise it is a great place
We had recently been to Ruth Chris in Maui. Food was fabulous! Steak and lobster cooked to perfection. At Mortens we waited quite a while for our food. My lobster tail was over cooked and barely warm. My husband's filet mignon was a let down. The scalloped potatoes were very tasty. Don't know that we'd try again. Also, the dining room was noisy and it was hard to have a relaxed conversation.
