On Saturday March 17, 2018, I went to Morton’s The Steakhouse for my birthday dinner. It was an amazing time. I want to thank the entire staff for the great service and amazing food. The private room; given to us at no extra charge, was a great gesture by Morton’s that I will never forget. Thanks again for making my 25th birthday dinner one to remember.
The overall experience was great and the waiter, Blaze was FANTASTIC! However, the delay in service, just did not cut it. We waited for extremely long periods of time in between. They did comp us two desserts, which were tasty. Nonetheless, dinner should have been a lot quicker.
Everything was as expected-fine!
My one complaint is that we paid $90 (one of the cheaper bottles) for a bottle of wine that sells at any local liquor store for all of $19.95. While I get that a business is entitled to make a profit, I think a profit margin of close to 500% is obscene and ridiculous.
Let's be fair, with their buying network they probably pay between $10-$12. Making a profit is understandable and respectable but being greedy is not!
Staff was very friendly despite the snow storm going on outside. Was the typical high end Morton’s experience one comes to expect
I had seven guests for dinner. Valet parking and a nice greeting by management at the door. It was a seemless visit and all went well. The veal chop I had was delicious and I will definitely use this establishment again for business meetings.
The staffs were very friendly. Definitely acknowledged my husband's bday (which was why we went). My kids love the food. We ordered only one dessert (Morton's chocolate lava cake) and they took that off the bill. Plus the bday family pic.
My wife and I wanted go have a quite evening out. We wanted several things to happen, one was good food, two we wanted ambiance, and last we wanted to have fun. Morton's hit a home run on all bases. The entire meal was exceptional, the wait staff was courteous and respectful of our needs. We had a great time thank you.
It cost 30 dollars to upgrade my filet mignon for ny strip steak. It was ordered med/well. they got the well but not the medium. The steak was good but not melt in your mouth good. I hope it just a bad night for them. Every thing else fantastic
Really disapppointed with the Caesar Salad. Filet Mignon and sides were AWESOME.
We had a great meal, nice evening.
Pretty good service. The food was very nice. The maire’d was professional, helpful, and really kind. The shrimp Alexander and ahi tuna were exceptional. The steak and lamb were also good. The chopped salad was all right, too.
Service was attentive but food took well over an hour to be brought to the table. One fish entre was grossly undercooked. No idea of what was going on in the kitchen.
One of our favorite places to dine - as always, the food was impreccable and so was the service.
When this Morton's opened many years ago, i was originally a little disappointed because i had been to the original Morton's Steakhouse outside of Chicago and, to this day, I still consider it the best steakhouse i have ever been to ... but each time thereafter, the experience has improved and my experience last Saturday night was extremely satisfying. The service was excellent, the steak was superb and prepared exactly to our liking, the side dishes (especially the roasted mashed potatoes with lobster meat) were out of this world ... overall the dining experience was an 8.5 - 9 out of 10.
My husband & I had our Valentine’s Day dinner date here & it couldn’t have been a better choice. Everything was just absolutely perfect considering what day of the year it was & how busy the restaurant was. Our server was super attentive to us. When we ordered dessert he even gave us one on him. The food & drinks were fabulous. The only thing I was upset about is that I had my lobster Mac n Cheese wrapped up to go because I couldn’t finish my meal and I completely forgot about it as we were leaving & left it behind!! I so wanted to eat my leftovers! Oh well! I highly recommend Morton’s to anyone who enjoys food as much as my husband & I do.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Service was good. My Steak was terrible. Sides were not good. Grilled oyster app was pretty good. Also my wife asked for her remaining steak to take home and the next day she opened bag to find someone else’s left overs.
Valentine's night... crazy busy... perfect service, food, drinks. Spot on!
Delicious! Thought service could have been more attentive but enjoyed my experience anyway.
We made the reservation far in advance for V Day, was put at a table right outside the kitchen where the door kept swinging open, we were very distracted from each other, asked to change tables and was accommodated immediately but should not have been to begin with having reserved so early, our waiter was very overwhelmed, ordered wine with the entree and it was brought after entree was almost finished, for this kind of money we are disappointed with the experience
Sides were amazing. Waitress was nice but took forever to see her. Busy night but no excuse for the wait, no water refill, HORRIBLE steak. Would not recommend this venue
We were put in the little function room. It is claustrophobic, and the floor is dirty. Not a good experience this time. The service is not its usual best. Used to be a great place to celebrate events.
Amazing as always
Delicious food and great service! We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and she absolutely loved it.
This is not my first time there my only complaint was our server she needs to pick it up. She was not on top of her game Saturday night. Veal Chop, Steak Onion Rings were good but the Creamed Corn was out of this world....
Excellent service. We came for Restaurant Week, and had a 3 course meal, well worth the value.
It’s located right on Northern Boulevard so it’s easy to get to from the Interstate. The building is set back behind some heavy landscaping. Pulling up you feel like you’ve arrived at a high end destination. They have a parking lot with valet attendants.
It took the hostess some time to figure out where to put us. We got put in a mostly empty rear room which was quiet like I asked but lacked any energy or ambiance. There were a many different people that came to our table so I wasn’t sure until later on who was my bus boy and who was my waiter. The waiter couldn’t find me a good wine I had to ask for a house sommelier to come and he found me a great blend.
The food was small portions due to the resturante week menu but was good not great. The lobster bisque had no chunks of lobster but was flavorful. The caesar salad had an inedible crouton and didn’t not look appetizing at all but tasted good. The shrimp scampi with cappellini looked good and tasted good. The mashed butter cream potatoes were kind of bland and the creamed spinach was a little off in flavor but neither was inedible. The filet wasn’t the best I’ve head by far I had to add pepper and salt to it to eat it. I also think the char was nice but the grain on the meat wasn’t good.
The desert was amazing if you got the hot chocolate morton’s cake with a side of vanilla ice cream. But the cheese cake was boring and not appealing to the eyes at all.
I’m not sure if I would return and pay full price...
I've been a member of Landry's dining for years. First time we were disappointed at a Morton's.
There to celebrate my Wife's Birthday with another couple. My Wife and I both ordered the lobster tail and steak special for $40 . The portions were so small and the plate so big which made the portions seem even tinier. The other couple enjoyed the four course restaurant week menu which included salad and potato. The least they could have done was include one or both on our dinner. It was very busy so we understood the service being slow .
Danny our MaitriD was as professional and courteous as always.
This is our new favorite neighborhood restaurant, we love Danny and the staff. Always attentive, always professional. And, the food is excellent.
Food amazing service poor. Granted it’s restaurant week so they’re busy. Messed up multiple requests and forgot some as well.
Very nice atmosphere and great service. Service was very quick and the staff was excellent.
Have been to Morton's several times in the past year. The steaks are out of this world. This time we went for Restaurant Week and chose from that menu. The lobster bisque soup was watery and lacked taste. The portions in general from the sides to the 6 ounce filet seemed smaller than usual and the cheese cake was not the same as they serve on the normal menu either. Disappointed in our visit this time.
Good for restaurant week. There are better steak houses nearby.
Melissa was a great hostess. The ambiance is very good.
Great for restaurant week but service slower due to congestion
Enjoyable dinner with Friends. Our waiter James was excellent. Will be back!!
The food and service were excellent. The portions were very small and the wine was not poured evenly. Someone at my table received visibly less wine than the others. We tried Mortons because of the restaurant week promos. The prices, however, are quite high.
We were very disappointed with our dinner at Morton’s. I wish I could find something positive to say but I cannot. We ordered the Bacon steak which we have had at other restaurants and enjoyed but this one was mostly fat. Our filet mignon was over cooked and my husbands pork chop was very dry. To make matters worse our meal took forever. At one point the waiter looked over and realized we hadn’t been served yet and it took at least 10 minutes after that for our food to arrive. Oh wait dessert was good. My daughters I’m particular which was a hot chocolate something or other. Sorry Morton’s. We won’t be back. :(
As usual Morton’s never disappoints, the management team and rest of the staff is top Notch service...can’t we to go back!
