This was my first time back to Morton’s in a while. My son and I had a 545 pm reservation. Upon entering the restaurant, it was very cold. When we had just finished dessert at 7 PM, I noticed that about a quarter of the patrons still were wearing their winter coats. I did mention the temperature to the maître d’ and he said he was adjusting it.
Our main attraction was the chocolate soufflé and we were looking for light eating. We shared a salad, had appetizers as entrées, and then split a chocolate soufflé for dessert. My son got the beef tacos which were overcooked, without much taste. I ordered the lobster bisque which tasted like a creamy tomato soup with a piece of lobster in it. I ended up sending the lobster bisque back and the waiter substituted tuna taco’s which were fine. The Morton salad was underwhelming, with Iceberg lettuce, anchovies, crumpled hard-boiled eggs, and dressing. The biggest disappointment however, was the chocolate soufflé. It was served undercooked and it had no chocolate flavoring to it. It was not at all what I would expect at an upscale restaurant. Bottom-line, I don’t think I would go back. There are other steak house options in close proximity that I would go to first.
My lady friend ordered the porterhouse steak medium rare. It came perfectly cooked, but she was disappointed in how tough the steak was. I asked her if I should mention it to our waitress, but she said no, she would eat it . My porterhouse was good. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
I have to say I have been going to this location for years and I can't beleive that I am even writing such a bad review. First the service was very slow and all the meals did not come out at the same time, which I am sorry there is no excuse for. The Lobster Bisque was to peppery and not in a good way. The appertiers didn't come all at once either that should've been a sign.
The rib eye with the bone was a little to thin for the price. They had no Chocolate Syrup or Hot Fudge for the ice cream. We asked to have leftovers wrapped to go and when I got home I noticed I was give the wrong food. I spen over 650.00 plus the tip and felt like I was robbed. I don't complain about pricing as long as the food and service are excellent and in this case it wasn't. We even had to wait to get drinks from the start. The bread was excellent...
Steak was over done, order medium rare - came out medium
Very dark, cannot see the bill and the restaurant added the tip to the bill; which I did not realize till later, so they got double the tip
Food was great. New wagu ribeye one of best steaks I’ve ever had. Ask for Janine - best waitress. Perfect for quiet business dinner.
Always the best
It was AMAZING. our 1st Anniversary and we got a menu personalized with a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY PHOTO
It was a great time
As always Morton’s has made my dining experience fabulous
Celebrating Easter Sunday.
We came here to dine for my wife’s birthday and mortons did not dissapoint us. Everthing was just perfect from the personal menus wishing my wife a happy birthday to the excellent food and service. I couldn’t have wished for anything else because Mortons covered it. Thanks again for a memorable occasion.
Highly recommend this place. Food is savory
(Must order lobster Mac n cheese, tuna tacos, sautéed spinach, mash potatoes and of course the 16 oz rib eye) great atmosphere, Service was OUTSTANDING!We took The kiddos on a night out (10 & 1 yrs old)and the staff went above and beyond to meet all of our request. They were really accommodating, Very professional and hands on.
Always love coming here--it's like coming home, although a home where everyone is super nice to you and waits on you hand and foot all the time! The food is amazing and so is the service--some of the friendliest wait staff you'll ever meet. Came to celebrate a birthday/Easter and was not disappointed--we never are.
Excellent service and outstanding food. Professional in all regards.
Our server was great! No sommelier. We used to go to Morton’s on a regular basis before Landry’s bought it out. Morton’s used to be a high end Steakhouse. The weekend before we had an amazing meal at a restaurant where the chef won several Michelin awards. We can’t wait to go back to the other restaurant. Our meal was 1/4 more expensive at Morton’s and we drank less at Morton’s. The crowd at Morton’s used to dress nicely. Now some people come in like they’re going to the Outback. For the price I should be raving about the food; however, the food was average. The highlight of our meal was the cauliflower mash. When I asked to substitute a crab cake instead of the scallops on the blended menu the chef wouldn’t do it. The bathroom has this certified germ free stickers all over the place; however, the dust and grime on the stall doors say otherwise.
Great food and experience.
Wonderful steak and seafood dinner. More extensive menu than another classic steakhhouse we were considering, option of filet mignon, which the other place didn't have except as part of a larger 2-person porterhouse. Veggie sides were delicious. Nice, more modern decor than traditional steakhouses but still elegant yet cozy.
Loved our waiter he explained EVERYTHING. And the ambiance was verrrrry romantic.
On Saturday March 17, 2018, I went to Morton’s The Steakhouse for my birthday dinner. It was an amazing time. I want to thank the entire staff for the great service and amazing food. The private room; given to us at no extra charge, was a great gesture by Morton’s that I will never forget. Thanks again for making my 25th birthday dinner one to remember.
The overall experience was great and the waiter, Blaze was FANTASTIC! However, the delay in service, just did not cut it. We waited for extremely long periods of time in between. They did comp us two desserts, which were tasty. Nonetheless, dinner should have been a lot quicker.
Everything was as expected-fine!
My one complaint is that we paid $90 (one of the cheaper bottles) for a bottle of wine that sells at any local liquor store for all of $19.95. While I get that a business is entitled to make a profit, I think a profit margin of close to 500% is obscene and ridiculous.
Let's be fair, with their buying network they probably pay between $10-$12. Making a profit is understandable and respectable but being greedy is not!
Staff was very friendly despite the snow storm going on outside. Was the typical high end Morton’s experience one comes to expect
I had seven guests for dinner. Valet parking and a nice greeting by management at the door. It was a seemless visit and all went well. The veal chop I had was delicious and I will definitely use this establishment again for business meetings.
The staffs were very friendly. Definitely acknowledged my husband's bday (which was why we went). My kids love the food. We ordered only one dessert (Morton's chocolate lava cake) and they took that off the bill. Plus the bday family pic.
My wife and I wanted go have a quite evening out. We wanted several things to happen, one was good food, two we wanted ambiance, and last we wanted to have fun. Morton's hit a home run on all bases. The entire meal was exceptional, the wait staff was courteous and respectful of our needs. We had a great time thank you.
It cost 30 dollars to upgrade my filet mignon for ny strip steak. It was ordered med/well. they got the well but not the medium. The steak was good but not melt in your mouth good. I hope it just a bad night for them. Every thing else fantastic
Really disapppointed with the Caesar Salad. Filet Mignon and sides were AWESOME.
We had a great meal, nice evening.
Pretty good service. The food was very nice. The maire’d was professional, helpful, and really kind. The shrimp Alexander and ahi tuna were exceptional. The steak and lamb were also good. The chopped salad was all right, too.
Service was attentive but food took well over an hour to be brought to the table. One fish entre was grossly undercooked. No idea of what was going on in the kitchen.
One of our favorite places to dine - as always, the food was impreccable and so was the service.
When this Morton's opened many years ago, i was originally a little disappointed because i had been to the original Morton's Steakhouse outside of Chicago and, to this day, I still consider it the best steakhouse i have ever been to ... but each time thereafter, the experience has improved and my experience last Saturday night was extremely satisfying. The service was excellent, the steak was superb and prepared exactly to our liking, the side dishes (especially the roasted mashed potatoes with lobster meat) were out of this world ... overall the dining experience was an 8.5 - 9 out of 10.
My husband & I had our Valentine’s Day dinner date here & it couldn’t have been a better choice. Everything was just absolutely perfect considering what day of the year it was & how busy the restaurant was. Our server was super attentive to us. When we ordered dessert he even gave us one on him. The food & drinks were fabulous. The only thing I was upset about is that I had my lobster Mac n Cheese wrapped up to go because I couldn’t finish my meal and I completely forgot about it as we were leaving & left it behind!! I so wanted to eat my leftovers! Oh well! I highly recommend Morton’s to anyone who enjoys food as much as my husband & I do.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Service was good. My Steak was terrible. Sides were not good. Grilled oyster app was pretty good. Also my wife asked for her remaining steak to take home and the next day she opened bag to find someone else’s left overs.
Valentine's night... crazy busy... perfect service, food, drinks. Spot on!
Delicious! Thought service could have been more attentive but enjoyed my experience anyway.
We made the reservation far in advance for V Day, was put at a table right outside the kitchen where the door kept swinging open, we were very distracted from each other, asked to change tables and was accommodated immediately but should not have been to begin with having reserved so early, our waiter was very overwhelmed, ordered wine with the entree and it was brought after entree was almost finished, for this kind of money we are disappointed with the experience
Sides were amazing. Waitress was nice but took forever to see her. Busy night but no excuse for the wait, no water refill, HORRIBLE steak. Would not recommend this venue
We were put in the little function room. It is claustrophobic, and the floor is dirty. Not a good experience this time. The service is not its usual best. Used to be a great place to celebrate events.
Amazing as always
