The dinner was delicious! Always enjoy going there.
We used to go to Morton's all the time until our server moved. We went back and it was good, but they did not offer us a group picture like they use to and it was great that we received a complimentary dessert but they did not offer the rest of the table the dessert menu. I received one because I told them I was gluten free.
Came here to celebrate our 21st anniversary. The food was great and the server was very professional. My wife received a larger portion, which the GM comped which was appreciated. We would consider coming back in the future.
We always come here for pre-theatre - Jeffrey is great, the food is delicious & everyone is friendly! It's a Landry's restaurant, so get your points!
Overall experience was good but not excellent, for the price I was expecting an outstanding service.
The steak was nicely cooked but not worth $53.
The guys in the kitchen handling the food need to wear gloves. They were using prongs and still handling food with their bare hands as we watched from our table.
I thought this was a health code that all ppl in the kitchen must wear gloves.
Food was amazing and service outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.
Our food was rushed to the table leaving without coordination I.e. oyster served before cocktails.. the steaks arrived before finishing with the oyster... Our waiter obviously was more interested in getting home early, rather than providing good service...
This is the best restaurant by far, the steak is the 1# in my opinion will visit again
Our server was very nice and as first time customers she went out of her way to explain the menu and specials. We will be regulars.
Service , food was superb. Great wine and liquor inventory. Was welcomed by two hosts quickly brought to our table.
Escargot was the worst - not cooked - no juices and extremely rubbery...Cesar salad wet and wilted. My wife’s escargot came 20 minutes later...had two filet mignon’s ordered medium - came out barking red.
We cut our losses and left after the steak. Waitress not helpful - service was poor!
A very expensive meal and quite upset overall. Will never return to this location.
I go to Morton's all over the country this one was typical. We were very disapointed in the seafood option for 2. Two bread size plates with half a shrimp an oyster a bit of crab and a couple of other bits for $30 a piece. We decided to order a steak to split to be able to make it to breakfast! Not a good value for $500 for 4 people, not including tip or wine. Service was amazing and got our steak cooked and to the table quickly!
Of course one knows what to expect when going to a Morton's Restaurant as the menu and food are the same at all locations. This is a positive as far as I am concerned. The service at the Fort Lauderdale location was very good , friendly and timely. The food was of the right temperature when served and was served to the four of us simultaneously. One of us ordered a Strip steak medium rare and it came medium well. They did however offer to take it back but we elected to take it as served. All in all I would go back but if you are concerned about expense, it is no greater value than going to any other prime steak house in town.
Never disappointing .... The waiters and waitresses always know our name
When you cut your teeth, so to speak at Morton's of Chicago, and Morton's of Baltimore, you expect the bar to be set high - this was my first visit to Morton's of Ft. Lauderdale - to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary after the 70's Rock N Romance Cruise by StarVista/Celebrity. I mentioned Morton's to my wife, and she said yes, and we were not disappointed!!!! Daniel greeted us, and seated us in a quiet, out of the way location, menus noted our 48th Anniversary, and our waitperson made certain we were recognized and comfortable. The baked oysters were amazing, not overly large, but done just right! My lamb rack was huge(20oz) and cooked to perfection - medium rare. My wife's shrimp were succulent and tasty - they were perfect! We even got a photo of us together - what a nice touch! We don't get to Ft. Lauderdale as often as we would like, perhaps twice a year - but Morton's of Ft. Lauderdale will be on our "must visit again" list on future visits. Highly recommend - if you are a Morton's fan, I think you will be pleased!!!!
Everything about the restaurant nice. The staff very pleasant.
Great food & great service as usual, I love the consistency of the service an specially of the food!!
Service was ok. Wasn’t very busy at all but food took quite a long time. Server was friendly, but wait times seemed a bit excessive.
Jessi was amazing. She made some amazing drinks and awesome conversation. Cant wait to go again soon
We ordered the Porterhouse for two and requested it be cooked medium. We waited 24 minutes for the steak. When it arrived we noticed that they charred the outside of the steak. We mentioned it to the server and he brought the manager who offered to replace it. We were hungry and did not want to wait another 24 minutes for the steak or for them to scrape off the burned parts as he suggested. When you’re paying $120 for a steak this shouldn’t happen. The manager refilled our wine glasses after we had ordered dessert but that in all honesty was too little too late. For the price, this wasn’t the best experience. No I wouldn’t recommend to family or friends.
Well, gave this restaurant yet another shot. Still, the steaks come out on cold plates and warm in temperature , not hot. Sides consistently come 8-10 mins after they bring the Steaks. NEVER AT THE SAME TIME .
Definitely not a good Steak house experience. Capital Grille next time. At these prices, save your $, try a different steak house.
Morton's does it right every time: knowledgeable servers, great bar drinks, excellent food, wonderful ambiance. It's just right for a special occasion, business meetings, and a romantic date.
Nice but a bit noisy
Food was great but we waited almost 30 minutes between our appetizers and main course. Server was attentive so not sure if it was a mistake in the kitchen.
Second time visiting this restaurant and everything has been delicious and well prepared.
Service good, too much noise for a business meeting (even a 6:30P). Everything was a tad above average except my $50.00 strip steak. It was full of unappreciated stringy connection cords. In front of my business associates I decided not to send it back.
Great dinner and service for Valentines days
Thanks for a great evening. David provided us with great service and attention. Thank you very much
I enjoyed the food the service was great.... a good place for a dinner mtg.....
Well, the night started off with a great Manhattan at the bar for Happy Hour. I complimented the bartender who then said do you want another and I said ok, the 1st one was so good. He said the second one would be even better. Well the 1st one was $9 and the 2nd was $25. I said to him, if I ordered the house boubon for the 1st drink, why would you think that I would want to spend $16 more for the 2nd one. He did correct the check. My husband had gone to the hostess stand around 7:15 to tell them we were here for our 7:30 reservation and they said they would not be able to seat us early. He said, ok, we'll be in the bar. At 7:30 we went back to the hostess who then said that it would be another 15 mins. We had already lost our seat at the bar, so we had to stand in the entry. They never checked us into Open Table, which I learned later that night.
We hadn't been to Morton's in many years and forgot that they only had bread with onions. My husband is allergic and we asked if there was any other bread available. The bus person came back and said no. I said that I would like the bread, which I waited for 20 mins for and had to ask 3 times.
We shared a 12 oz filet and huge baked potato. The wine selection is pretty pricey, but I had a glass of Red Blend for $17 that was OK at best. The steak was superb. Probably one of the better steaks that we have had.
Our overall experience left us wishing that for over $120, we would have had a better experience. Not a great night, but we really did enjoy the food.
Staff could not manage the very busy night. Seating was late for reservation time - maybe overbooked?
Food took a long time and arrived only “warm”.
Short rib was actually still frozen! Sent back and was still frozen at center when returned. I could not eat it.
Manager was unpleasant and had an attitude!
It took over 2 and half hours for our food to come out in which the waiter only came to our table about three times the whole night. He was also very sarcastic and said if we needed him we could yell for him or wave him down. The food was only okay. During our time here 2 other groups of people walked out of the restaurant due to the miserable experience. Go to capital grille.
Excellent food and service made birthday celebration special with printed birthday menus and photos of us with guests what a nice personal touch. Food and service excellent too so recommend for a special occasion!
Awesome food as always Bog thanks to JFK in bar and our beautiful server
Very good service and food.
Fantastic consistent service. I have never been disappointed in my trips to The Morton Steakhouse. Servers are well versed on the menu items and have always been very friendly and professional. Restaurant is clean and you understand the price based on the atmosphere. The steaks are fantastic.
Great first experience. Food and service both top notch. Crab cakes a definite choice. Appreciate seeing the manager in charge mingling in the dining room making sure the diners were happy with their meals.
