Morton's The Steakhouse - Ft. Lauderdale
Best Steak House in the area, extensive Wine List, great menu and fresh daily specials
All three of our steaks were way undercooked. My wife wanted medium and instead of sending back twice, she ordered fish. Not good. Wine prices crazy or insulting depending on your view. 5 times retail is a little much. So not worth it
The service this night wasn't all that great. Food was good.
The food was absolutely delicious!! The bacon wrapped scallops are a most have!
Service was slow I think because there was a corporate party that was occupying most of the servers. I think with the cost of Morton’s you should always get good service no matter what your party size is, ours was a party of five. We’ve eaten at Morton’s before but this particular one’s food wasn’t as good either.
Ok, we have been celebrating my daughter’s bday at Morton’s for 25 years. From Chicago to Cincinnati to Ft Lauderdale. We went tonight and here is what has changed: no lamb chops? No Maine lobster? No Florida Stone Crab? Not even a tomato salad? No coffee unless u want espresso or cappuccino.
The service was great, the steak was done perfectly, the Morton Salad was tasteless, the chocolate cake was very good.
We will probably switch to the Capital Grill. End of an era. Sorry Landry!
Steak was cooked properly but too salty.
Love love our night there! We are frequent customers of the one in Manhattan but being able to come to the one in Ft Lauderdale was amazing! Our server... I forgot his name but he’s married and from Boston! Super amazing, made our night memorable + relaxed!
Our reservation was pretty late. We didn’t feel rushed or pushed out! They let us enjoy our dinner + night!
It was a wonderful experience from the moment I pulled up to the valet. Great service from start to finish and the food was phenomenal!
It was a perfect celebration for our anniversary dinner. The hostess took our picture and presented it to us in a paper frame. It happened to be a lovely picture of us and Sonya did it in a celebratory way.
The menus said happy anniversary on them...cute touch!
The steak ( porterhouse) was exceptional. In these days of noisy, trend heavy restaurants, Morton’s still retains his old world charm and ambience.
Food is excellent!
Birthday great service and we thank you for taking our picture
The waiter didn’t approach the table until fifteen minutes after we sat down. He didn’t clean the table. He was inattentive. The table was right next to kitchen and about a person a minute zoomed across our table. Although, the food was good by the tone it came,1 hour after sitting, I gad indigestion and wanted to go home.
There is none better! The whole family was there a party of six and our favorite steak is the New York Strip, I have never had one as good as this was. All of the steaks were hot and cooked to perfection. We ordered baked potato, spinach with mushrooms both were excellent. The mushrooms were without description. Our server Josh recommended the Stag's Leap Artemis Cabernet an excellent wine with steak. Keep up the great work Mortons!
Great as always. Cedric came by and said hello. Great service food is always fantastic super busy but they always take time to come by make sure everything is great for the regulars. Thanks again. Oh yeah Jen the red was fantastic.
Food and service was great! It’s always a pleasure to eat at Morton’s. The menu is very diverse so you can always try something new.
Went there for my birthday and they didn't even give my party the custom made menu that I was really looking forward to because it was "Valentine's Day weekend" and "it would be too much to give out." I was also supposed to get a personal card and did not receive it. The scenery was dark but nice. The food was not all that. Neither was the watered-down drink I was given. The only enjoyable food option was the free birthday desert they gave me. Overall, I was disappointed.
Had dinner at Morton's on Saturday night. The appetizers were good. However, the service and rest of the food were very poor for the money. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was dry and had a large shell in the middle of it that my partner choked on. The Spinach arrived cold. Our server told us that the Baked Potatoes had been over cooked for the last several tables and advised against ordering them. Neither of our drinks came with the requested garnishes and my partners steak was overcooked. Overall a very disappointing experience given that our bill cost over $300. Given the number of high quality steakhouses in the area, we recommend going elsewhere.
This place was amazing! We had Steak (Bone in Ribeye & Porterhouse) cooked to perfection! Sides were delicious. Our waiter was absolutely the best! Atmosphere was awesome! Oh yeah... the dessert was delicious! Chocolate Mousse melted in your mouth! Highly recommend this place to friends & family! We will be going back in the future!
Great dining experience
Very disappointing experience with the food and the general atmosphere regarding the less than desirable dress code for the dinning customers and expected dinning experience. The rib-eye in bone steak was over cooked and the Valentine special steak and lobster was lacking. Although the steak was excellent, the lack of lobster was extremely disappointing especially after paying $59.00. Our waiter was excellent and provided great service.
Fantastic meal and service. What more could you want?
I love this steakhouse! Service is always top notch and the food never disappoints! I always eat the Miso Marinated sea bass which is amazing. The Cajun ribeye is exceptional as well and the flavor is delicious. A+
I was very under impressed by the steaks. They were over charred. For someone who is a steak connoisseur, and frequently visits Prime, Red, Smith and Wollenskys, etc, this was disappointing. We actually bagged one steak to take home and ended up throwing it away. However, the serve and staff were amazing, attentive and great people. Maybe we can chalk it up to the kitchen being busy on Valentine’s Day... but it was not up to par with Miami steakhouses. I will not be going back.
Our waiter was great and the food was delicious. We enjoyed every moment of our dinner.
Celebrating Valentine’s Day early because of business travel. The Hostess was amazing and very attentive upon our arrival. Our dinner menus were personalized with our family name and to our pleasant surprise the hostess took our photo and gave us a printed copy in a personalized card style photo holder. Our waiter was the best! And, a pleasure throughout our dinning experience. His recommendations were perfect and attention to detail better than expected. Our dinner was perfect!
Thank you for making this night so special. We will return often!
Amazing food great service I definitely highly recommended
baked potato was served cold, steak was tougher than usual, not as expected
The food was great as usual but server Francesca took the experience to the next level.
As usual, the food was terrific, and our waiter was great.
Food was very dry and veggies were salty . Ambience was nice and waitress was good
Honestly was shocked when a “Steakhouse” ran out of 8 oz filets. So we ordered 6 oz instead and they came out way overcooked. Ordered medium rare and it had no pink to it. Morton’s typically is very good, not sure if it’s this location or just a bad night for them.
food was not good steak was tough will never go there again
Main entrees were steak, sea bass, and shrimp. They were very delicious. We celebrated my mother in law's 92nd birthday there and they provided her with ice cream and cake.
We enjoyed a 6 oz. filet with lobster tail. Excellent service, atmosphere and menu.
Wonderful experience all around. The food and service were outstanding. Brian and the rest of the staff really made my boyfriend’s 30th birthday a special occasion to remember. The bar staff however was questionable. We snuck over for a night cap after dinner, ordered a drink and the bartender Sarah immediately forgot about our order? It took about 15 minutes for her to make the drink even after cashing us out with the money on the counter, as we were one and done. Very strange ending but dinner was absolutely outstanding and happily memorable.
Steaks arrived at the wrong temperature as they came overcooked. Sides weren't cooked correctly and tasted raw. Won't be going again anytime soon.
Our waiter was fabulous. Also the Asst. Manager Jany Bermudez was exceptional. When we arrived the Valet had gone to the restroom. When I went inside to alert them that there was no one to valet my carJany came out until he returned to make certain my car was secure.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The food was delicious, especially escargots, ChopSalad, File Mignon and desserts.
Great food. Great staff. Stephanie. Anthony and Cedric are people great job guys. See you soon.
John & Alisha are wonderful and the food is delicious!
