Cajun Ribeye was amazing. Lobster Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes sides were delicious.
Service was average. Started off good then waiter kind of disappeared.
It was an excellent late lunch. Great atmosphere, and very comfortable. Worked with Kloper, who was very attentive and friendly. Had a great birthday celebration there!
Our server and food runner were very rude.
Really enjoyed my dinner at Morton's. We originally wanted to sit outside, but the day of it was really hot and the host gave us the option to sit inside. Other guests were spaced more than 6 feet apart, so we were very comfortable eating there. I really enjoyed my center cut filet mignon steak with the black truffle butter, and the sour cream mashed potatoes are really good. I also enjoyed the lemon drop "mortini". The brussell sprouts were a little bland to me, so I'll opt for a different vegetable next time. Overall, I really enjoyed dinner here and definitely will return.
The best thing about Morton’s DC Is the cigar patio. So few places remain where good food and drink can be followed by a delicious smoke. Steaks cooked to perfection. Drinks well made. Service was excellent. Looking forward to returning.
When you first get to the restaurant, you automatically feel a warm presence from the staff. The service was very good and always made sure you had what you need. The food was outstanding, it tasted very good and well worth the money
Always enjoy going to Morton’s in Washington DC Ct Ave. Friendliest staff, excellent food and always a lovely evening.
Really disappointing experience. We sat outside on the patio where they apparently allow smoking and two tables were constantly puffing on cigars. Just awful. The outdoor area was also pretty sparse, just very bland and didn’t feel special or upscale at all. The food was meh, nothing really special. And the service was fine, but our waitress, who seemed eager and well-intentioned, just seemed like she would fit better at an Appleby’s than an upscale steak place.
The real kicker though, and why I’d never go back, is their deceptive pricing. Or maybe I should say their LACK of pricing. Most of the steaks on the menu say “market price.” For steak? I’ve never seen that in my 50 years on this planet. And when the bill came, I could see why they didn’t state the price, because it’s highway robbery. Seriously, $64 for a New York strip?! Which was only mediocre and undercooked anyway. A total ripoff.
The food was delicious! No complains, except i requested my steak well done and received it about medium. I had to send it back. But as for taste, it was great. The service wasn’t as good as you expect. It took about 20 mins between each plate. There was a manager that was wearing wedges flip flops that every time she walked by the noise of her shoes were loud and obnoxious. I would’ve approached her but not sure if she had some kind of foot condition.
The food took a while but was worth the wait! It was expected due to the busy restaurant week.
The steaks were just ok but the lobster mac & cheese was no amateur. I was very surprised. The salad & desserts were yummy.
Great place to eat. Everyone had on masks. Good social distancing.
Excellent chocolate cake and strong drinks, Food was fair at best
I took my family out to celebrate and right now they have the restaurant week special. Everyone at the table got the 3-course restaurant week menu for $55. The food was delicious especially the steaks they were seasoned very well. Now to the bad part. The customer service was extremely horrible. I made reservations through open table to which they were confirmed early that day. When we arrived at 6:15 we were seated. Our waitress provided us our menus and water and everything was good once we placed our orders. After placing our orders we did not receive our starters (appetizers) which were salads and soups until 45 mins later. By that time 3 tables were seated after us and had already received their starters. The waitress informed us our food was delivered to the wrong table and did not come to check on us after that. Then to follow on we did not receive our meal until another 40 minutes later. Management tried to help but they did not make anything better. This experience was horrible and I do not recommend Morton’s -Downtown DC to anyone. I would recommend that the corporate office and management work together to develop a customer service training program for waiters/waitresses to work on their skills.
Enjoyed and will return. Highly recommend the Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Bone In Ribeye, Salmon and the Au Gratin potato’s are a must. I was disappointed with the Lobster Mac and Cheese as well as the cream spinach not bad just not my palates preference. Our only issue in the service side was the time it took to get a dessert in and receive a dessert. Our server received a large party as we were finishing our meals and as he took orders and set them up we felt forgot about, it was okay though the Caramel Cheesecake was worth the wait.
As always Mortons know how to set and serve a table.
Great food and awesome service!!
Very glad it’s open and still at the level of perfection that you expect it to be.
Excellent service, perfect ribeye, Morton’s salad and creamed spinach.
Can’t wait to go back.
D Fe fabulous on the patio
Great service. Excellent food.
I had a nice dinner on the patio this weekend to celebrate a birthday. Mortons provided excellent service and fulfilled all requests. They are also taking additional precautions due to the Covid pandemic. I was satisfied with the distance between tables and the extra cleaning protocols taking place. I will definitely return.
Wonderful birthday celebration! Love the lava cake!
Outstanding! It’s so good to be able to eat inside the restaurant again. Great service, excellent food, and wine.
Loved the meal but outdoor seating and a very loud generator killed what would have been a 5 stars rating.
Service was very bad. We didn’t get a last call for food, wasn’t offered desserts and didn’t get a last call on bar. We wanted to enjoy drinks with dessert but was not able to order because the kitchen closed and we didn’t know. The server was too busy and gave us no attention. She answered questions with attitude and walked away from table as we were trying to speak with her. Her and another server had a full conversation interrupting us while we were trying to order dinner with her. We ate dinner with dirty plates all over the table because she did not prebuss the table at all. For the price of our meal, we are unsatisfied with our experience.
Excellent location and the atmosphere was great. Plenty of seating and spacing.
The short rib was amazing. Out for dinner with my wonderful daughter.
Or visit to Morton’s for a special occasion - a team member’s last day at work - was unfortunate and regrettable. Our table was not ready for our 12pm reservation. After being seated more than 5 minutes after our reservation time - and about 8 minutes after we arrived - we had to wait more than 10 minutes for menus (which we had to ask for). We were offered bread when our waiter first arrived - but waited 40 minutes from the time we sat down to get the bread - and had to ask for it. The experience was capped off when the bill included a bottle of wine on the bill - in addition to the 2 glasses that actually were ordered by our party of 7. This was amazingly poor for what should be a nice restaurant.
The food at Morton's is beyond overpriced. The combination of one small crab cake, one portion of lobster macaroni and cheese, three drinks, and one bottle of sparkling water merited a bill of $113.00. Really, the food isn't go great that the high prices can be accepted and forgiven. Further, a restaurant of the caliber of Morton's does not filter its drinking water? When I asked the gentleman pouring water if the water was filtered, he replied, "No, it's from the tap." From the tap? Is Morton's kidding? Is this the restaurant chain's way of strong-arming patrons into purchasing pricey bottles of water? My dining companion wanted a bottle of sparkling water; it was too large for her to finish. Morton's may consider itself a high-end restaurant catering to the whims of bluebloods, but it can't filter its drinking water? A total disgrace. Shame on Morton's for compelling patrons to either drink unfiltered tap water or purchase a bottle of drinking water.
Morton’s is a reliable place to entertain colleagues and friends. It was very good and my guests enjoyed themselves, but the place was packed and the kitchen and staff must have been slammed. The wait staff were friendly, polite and professional, but 30 minutes is a long time to wait between placing the order and waiting for the salads to arrive. It got better as the meal went on and will return to this location and hope it will not be quite so busy.
Excellent as always. Our waiter, Harry, was precisely as attentive and accommodating as he needed to be, and not one bit more - which was perfect. Tried the "Nueske Bacon Steak" for the first time, and it is outstanding. What more can I say? It's Morton's!
Morton’s was one of our favorite steak restaurants...we were very disappointed with the quality and preparation of the food at our last visit, we will not be going back again, at least for awhile!
After years of frequenting another DC steakhouse I gave Morton’s a try and it is quickly becoming my go-to place for business lunches. Excellent service and great food
After we were seated, it was a full 15 minutes before we were waited on. Kind of went downhill from there.
Love it !!!! Service was amaze balls
Wonderful First time experience. Delicious. Kennedy was an amazing hostess/server.
