Excellent service & food. We hadn't been to Morton's in several years, so it was good to go back to enjoy the wonderful experience.
Boring steak in a steakhouse
I enjoy longhorn’s for a fraction of the price I paid.
You pay for the elitism rather then the food
Went on a special date night with my sweetheart. I have been their many times, but Cheryl first!!! She said she felt like Julia Roberts in pretty woman!! Food excellent as always, Courtney, Brad an our server Henry made it an enjoyable experience.
The food was not the same quality as it has been in the past. It’s been a few years since I have been to Mortons. The red fish was hard around the edges. Very over cooked. The bread wasn’t warm at all. Seems like it had been sitting for a bit before serving. My husband also said that his scallops were not very good. Over all not satisfied with dinner. Our waiter was great, just not the food. Maybe they had a bad night tonight.
Ford was wonderful and the staff was great!
I’ve been many times before and this was most disappointing.
I fell for wine of the house (made esp for Morton’s) it was awful with high price.
I asked for no salt on my steak and it was very late coming. It also had salt on it. The tomato salad was good. Tomatoes, small fillet and glass of wine. 84dollats.
I take some of blame. I know wines and shouldn’t have asked for recommendation. I know smooth service and I should have answered more truthfully when two managers came by.
Also just for good recommendation, a butter knife would prevent using steak knife for butter and the tomatoes.
Always enjoy Morton's especially when they have prix fixe specials.
Not up to the standard it used to be. While the picture of the steak they use in the ad is gorgeous and makes one want to try it, our steaks were small, dry and devoid of any of the juiciness a find cut would have on the surf and turf. The lobster tails or mushy from steaming. Overall, for $400 plus tip we were disappointed in the food and the experience. Service, however, was fine. There are much better steaks in Dallas for this price. I wish our steaks looked like this and tasted like this would.
It was delicious from drinks to the sides. Our steaks were cooked ”well” then we have like but still overall great.
From entrance to exit everything was perfect as always.
I asked for medium and I got medium well on it's way to well! They took my steak and left all my sides to sit and get cold. Never offered to replace them too, or a dessert or another glass of wine. Something to fill my time as my companion ate his food. I am a loyal customer of Morton's and I was so disappointed with my experience. I come for quality, ambiance and service! I paid for it but did not receive it! Very unhappy customer! I was celebrating a business accomplishment and it was truly marred by my experience.
We took our daughter to Morton's for our daughters 18th birthday. They made her feel special from when we arrived and throughout the meal. The menu had her name on it and the wished her a happy birthday. They took a picture of us three and put in a frame.
The staff was amazing and the food incredible. Henry, our waiter, was attentive without being overbearing.
Great experience overall
A truly wonderful meal! The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and the steaks are perfectly prepared! Great experience all around
They all went above and beyond to make sure our anniversary celebration was so amazing! From a personalized menu to taking a photo of us to discounts and free dessert, not to mention exceptional service and food. Amazing experience!!!
Best steak place ever.
I'v e eaten at Morton's Steakhouse's for over 30 plus years and as I shared with the General manager as I was leaving this was the worse one I've eaten at and it will be my last time ever in a Morton's. The wait staff needs serious additional customer service training. In all fairness, my wife for the most part enjoyed her food. But I certainly didn't. Just not up to the standards I've been used to while dinning at Morton's in the past. Can't blame being busy, less than 10 tables were being used. Just not coming back.
PS The nickname I used they would'd print, it read, Worse Morton's dinning experience ever!
As always, the service was spot on and the dishes were prepared perfectly. There were not a lot of people dining in the restaurant that night, but the music seemed inappropriate and loud for the desired atmosphere. Some of the songs had a very techno feel and left me feeling like there should be a dance floor somewhere in the building. We had a group of seven around a round table and it was impossible to speak to each other over the music.
Steak restaurants are always expensive but it seemed they didn’t even try to make it worth the $400 we dropped for 2 people. Server splashed wine into our glasses. Food served very quickly that we were not done with starter and main was being served. Very disappointing.
Wonderful! Excellent service and a flawless meal.
Ahi Tuna Tower - not much flavor, and did not like the dry bottom layer at all. maybe make the overall dish more moist with more spicy sauce.
Filet Mignon - awesome. cooked perfectly. no sauce needed. just flavorful beef! like it should be.
Horseradish Potatoes - delish! loved them.
Grilled Asparagus - grilling was OK. but the sauce (balsamic?) was not necessary and did not like it.
Chocolate layer cake - was ok, nothing special. cold and hard. not moist enough for a chocolate cake.
The service was awesome. Every one was friendly, attentive, and helpful.
Excellent! Food and service was outstanding!!
Food was pretty good. Service was terrible for that reason I will never be back. Didn’t even hear a response to any of my reviews yet.
A fantastic dining experience. We were visiting Dallas for a romantic weekend away. Mortons was an excellent choice for our Sunday night dinner. We were greeted immediately by the valet and the door was opened for us to enter the quiet, dark interior. The greeter (and I think the manager) almost immediately acknowledged us and welcomed us warmly. I had made a reservation for a regular table, but the bar area looked so inviting that we quickly changed to bar table seating. We were not disappointed. Trevor, the bartender, became our server. He was knowledgable and very professional. We took his dining suggestions, and we loved our mixed grill (filet 6oz and shrimp) and cajun rubbed steak. I paired my filet with the Malbec option and the meal was delightful. Trevor was very attentive and made us love the experience at Mortons even more. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Dallas.
What an impressive visit we had to Morton’s Steakhouse in Dallas! We were greeted by name upon our arrival, and our server Ryan continued to use our names throughout dinner—quite a nice touch! While the meal itself was very good, it is the service that we received that will bring us back. Job well done!
Mhe. We always ask ourselves why we go here after we go here. I guess we remember the nice, quiet space and exceptional service but forget the extremely average, and thus massively overpriced cuts of beef. Reminder to you ( and self) - this is NOT USDA Prime beef. In essence this is Salt Grass Steakhouse (also owned by this co.) cuts of beef with more upscale surroundings, wine list and PRICE. Better to go to Nick and Sams, Perry's, II Forks, Papas Bros. , Ruth's Chris, etc.
Food and drinks were great. Service was what you would expect. Atmosphere was nice.
We had a great Mother’s Day dinner. Thank you very much.
The food and service were amazing. We were celebrating a special landmark birthday and they printed special menu's with the birthday boy's name and gave us a photo of the party to mark the celebration. The chocolate cake brought at the end of dinner was amazing. All the small touches made the birthday celebration very special.
The food was every bit as good as the service and the special birthday touches. Highly recommend Morton's!
Nice service but food was sub par for Morton’s standards
We had a lovely time and were treated fantastic! We will definitely be back :)
Great dinner, just expensive (as expected)
I have been to quite a few steak houses and the steak at Morton's was nothing to eat again.
Perfect meal to top off our mini vacation for the NRA Meeting and early BDay celebration for my husband. Quality and service was as excellent as we expected.
Celebrated granddaughter’s birthday. Very attentive. Loved the shuttle service. Food and service exceptional as always
Drinks, food, atmosphere was exactly as expected. Enjoyed the evening
Ate there Thursday and Friday (the night of this review). Was very disappointed Thursday, so I thought I’d give it a second chance (sat at bar both nights, but they we not adequately staffed on Thursday, so I was mostly ignored.) Friday was like a different restaurant and like what I’d expect from Morton’s! I am very happy I gave it another chance and I will return the next time I’m in Dallas!
No one does steak like Morton's! I'm afraid Landry's menu influence is not helping to maintain the mystique and tradition of the original Morton's. Chicago locations still have the original feel. Service in Dallas was good but did not have quite the polish normally experienced at a steakhouse of this caliber. The 16oz Prime New York Strip is their saving grace. If there is a steakhouse in America that offers a better steak, I have not found it yet. If you are in Dallas, don't waste your time at Nick and Sam's, Bob's, or any others. Morton's does one thing really well above all else and that's steak!
We love Morton’s. They have great stakes and seafood. The service is always professional and friendly.
The service was incredible! They made us feel so special celebrating our anniversary. And the food was AMAZING.
