Cajun Ribeye Steak
Prime Sirloin Chopped Steak*
Great experience and the staff was great!
We went on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday celebration. The restaurant seemed understaffed. We had to wait a little longer to be seated due to this. Our server was amazing. He made sure to keep checking on us to ensure all was well. Unfortunately one of our steaks was overdone. Ordered medium and got well done. Thankfully our server was quick to fix this. Overall the food was ok but we won’t be back to pay that price for ‘ok’ food.
The service was great, and the place was nice. The only thing is that the New York Strip was a bit on the burnt side from the outside as I had ordered my steak medium. The overall flavor of the steak was not good either way.
The chop salad was blah. New York strip was burnt on the outside and was not really good. The service was good but extremely slow. Waited a long time between the salad and the main course. Maybe they are short staffed all around.
Server told my wife the special was King Crab legs served either cold or hot. My wife asked for them cold. When her food came it was COLD CRAB CAKES!!! Who eats crab cakes cold!! GM said server was mistaken and they didn’t have a way to serve them cold. Truluck’s Resturant puts them in the blast chiller. I can’t imagine a high end restaurant not having one. They redid her crab cakes and comped them but REALLY?
Absolutely GREAT dinner and attentive wait staff and maitre d!
I haven't been to Morton's in a very long time. Food was pretty good, as was the service. We didn't get a tremendous amount of attention, but we weren't completely ignored either. The wine list was average. We found an old favorite on the list, but I would've had trouble finding a 2nd choice. Despite a modest dress code, several guests were in board shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. On a positive note, the hostess did ask several guests to remove their trucker hats as she sat them. I might try them again, but it won't be anytime soon.
Out of all the fine dining restaurants my husband and I have been my sea bass was very small.
The service was slow. I balance this against the obvious service industry staffing shortages, so I’m being as objective as possible. I ordered an old fashioned and it took 20 minutes to arrive. Service took 15-20 minutes before we met our server. The pace of contact with our server was infrequent. This is partly due to the aforementioned circumstance. The delivery of appetizers and main course was stilted and mistimed. The filets and ribeyes were lacking flavor and the ribeye was tough. It was all surely prime beef, but not prepared properly. If you are a steakhouse market yourself as top tier, execute on that! The sides were good. The desserts were flat. Crime brûlée served at room temperature??? Chocolate mousse that was more like canned cake icing??? The old fashioned that was delivered was far and away the most uninspired bland cocktail I’ve had in years. We spent over $800 last night and it will be the last of the money spent with Morton’s. Perry’s, Del Friscos, Pappas, Al Biernat’s, and Bob’s all present substantially higher quality experiences.
We went to dinner expecting an experience equal to or better than our last. We were extremely disappointed. There was a significant size discrepancy between two identical steaks. The temperatures were also off. The steaks were sent back twice. By that time, they were both almost well done instead of medium and medium well. This was very disappointing.
Dinner was excellent but it was a nat that was taking over had to cover our bread. Please spray for unwanted bugs
Food was fantastic.. great waitress… !!
Had a very nice time celebrating our anniversary. We were disappointed in our steaks. They were cooked perfectly but not Not tender. Not the high quality we are used to.
Love it. Great service and delicious meal!
Excellent service from Brian and the rest of the team. The drinks, food, and ambiance were all great. It was a delightful dinner and would return again.
Bar tender went so nice while we waited and had a drink. We only ate a few bites of our steak. When when we got home one of our Togo steaks was gone and we had someone else’s Mac and cheese which we didn’t order
Drinks were great. Food was great also. My husband is very particular about his food, and he enjoyed!! Also made us feel very welcomed and celebrated for our anniversary!
We went for our daughters birthday and food and service were terrific. Everything seasoned perfectly. Would definitely go again.
Dinner out with friends. Waiter was excellent. Food was perfect.
Our server Henry did an excellent job. He took care of all of our needs. The food was well prepared. Steak delicious.
My favorite restaurant! They had a special so it was an excuse to go. Best food and service as ALWAYS!
We were welcomed for our 58th anniversary the moment we walked in the door.
They made our experience a very special one. The picture was also a nice gesture.
We appreciate this special treatment and meal
We took another couple out and requested restaurant week menus and that request was perfectly fulfilled. Steaks were distributed by someone who was not our waitperson and gave the wrong steaks to the wrong people. This was remedied quickly by our waiter but would have been nicer if this hadn’t happened. Our dessert option was requested from our waiter as we ordered dinner so a chocolate mousse was brought to the table in “to go” fashion as requested but sat at room temperature while the remaining three had dessert and coffee. After a 30 minute ride home the mousse was warm and and flat. This should have been brought as we paid out. Truly loved the food and atmosphere.
Service was really great, and the food was delicious. I did find it odd that when I was called to confirm my reservation I was specifically told that there was a dress code and collared shirts and slacks were required for men. But when at the restaurant I saw numerous individuals walking in with just regular t-shirts and shorts being seated.
I did not have a good experience here and would not recommend this place to anyone. First of all, they are very strict about the dress code. We were dressed nicely but because my boyfriend wasn’t wearing slacks, we had to sit at the bar. Then, the food was very subpar. My steak was supposed to be medium and came almost well done. I didn’t say anything because I feel like it’s rude to send food back, but I wish I had. Also, our waiter was attentive in the beginning and then totally disappeared and ignored us. Aa someone who goes to a lot of steakhouses in Dallas, this place is at the bottom of the list. Save your money and go to The Capital Grille or Bob’s.
We went for restaurant week. First off the bat, the hostess was snooty and acted so inconvenienced that we had 5 people instead of 4 even though I don’t think I saw a 4 top in the place and they had so many open tables. She made us wait about 30 minutes to be seated after having a reservation. We finally get seated and don’t order our food for about an hour. The service is so slow, and I know places are understaffed right now, but wow… they were out of the wine we wanted but didn’t tell us that for about 25 minutes. We finally got to order and all was well until the entrees.. my friend ordered her steak medium and there wasn’t a trace of pink in it so she had to send it back, my husband and I didn’t get our side of mashed potatoes with our steak until about 15 minutes later and the potatoes were so salty, the Brussels had no flavor at all, the French fries had no salt or flavor either. My friend ended up having to send her steak back again because it was bleeding the second time around. Then they were out of the dessert we ordered (chocolate mousse). We didn’t end up leaving until around 11:30 from an 8:30 reservation. I would not go back or recommend for the price point, too many steakhouses in Dallas to have an experience like that.
Really enjoyed our appetizer. My wife’s steak was perfect. Mine was grossly overdone. They fixed it quickly. Just not quite what I expected given their reputation.
Our first visit. Went for restaurant week. We were sat by a small crying baby. We asked to move but were told they were leaving. They did. Then we noticed how people were dressed. Coming in in tee shirts, cut offs and flip flops. Very disappointing to go to what we thought was an upscale restaurant and see this. They were very adamant about not coming in without a mask, but way to lenient on dress. Diner was great. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed. The manager came by several times. We expressed our concerns.
Great as usual
For being a high end steak house, I ordered my filet medium rare. It came out raw on my plate, granted seared on outside but fully raw on inside. I honestly don’t mind having to ask to have it put back on grill but would think they could get it closer to rare even.
What’s worse is the other entree we ordered was the pork chop. That also was not fully cooked which is real gross. Again they put back on grill and the 2nd time for both entrees were properly cooked. Disappointing when you go to a higher end place and have both entrees not cooked right the first time
Food was delicious.
Everyone was friendly
We went on a Wednesday night restaurant week and we absolutely LOVED this place! The staff was wonderful and the manager came and checked on us. Our fillets were like butter. We liked it way better than Del Frisco's. 10/10 we will be back!
Love the ambience and food...great for afterwork or special occasion.
Good food great service.
Our dining experience was perfect! The waiter was friendly and attentive. He was super helpful and accommodated our dietary needs. He made my husband’s bday dinner very special!
It was my birthday and we had such a great experience! The food was amazing! The steak literally melts in your mouth! I was impressed with the Shrimp Scampi as well! The staff is super nice and welcoming! Towards the end of our meal a photographer came over and took our picture and printed it out to have for memories! They also personalized the menu to wish me a happy birthday! I’d definitely go back!!!
Sadly the steak was over cooked. The service was somewhat slow and under attentive. The five top next to us was very loud! The cocktails were very slow in arriving! Overall just not worth the high cost of eating at Morton’s! When you $$$$ on dinner it should be flawless and it did not at all meet that standard! We won’t be going back!
I enjoyed the experience and food. Staff was very attentive and accommodated our late arrival due to something unexpected and was able to modify our reservation!
Not the best experience we have had here. Given that businesses are not starting to recover, and that it was slow, so much better is expected for the customer experience and quality of food when you pay a premium.
Jason was great!! Steak was amazing!!! The sides could use some help. Overall great last dinner!
