Morton's The Steakhouse - Dallas
Drink order messed up. Ordered All Day IPA. Received Mosaic IPA. A good beer but not what I ordered.
Water glasses were often empty.
Stakes were average, ordered medium rare, came out almost medium. Not overcooked enough to send back but not up to expectations.
Sides and cheesecake were excellent.
Overall, the experience was great. The food quality of the surrounding restaurants with lower price points.
Great food, great service
Everything was excellent, except my filet. I ordered it rare, cool to the touch. I don't know how they did it because the steak was really red inside and looked perfect, but the entire piece of meat was hot all the way thru. When I touched the inside it was hot. After about 30 minutes I enjoyed it more as it cooled down, Really I love the cold taste of the center of the filet, and this steak didn't have that. The service was great and so was our waitress. I do think we will be back, but I want to find out how the meat really looked rare, but was hot.
We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary before a performance at the Meyerson. Our waiters Presley and Chad were attentive without being intrusive. Brian the manager introduced himself making us feel welcome. The best part is the food. We each had steak with the Mexican street corn and the hot Godiva chocolate cake. Highly recommend for a special date. They took a picture of us for a night to remember and had a special menu printed. We will definitely be back.
Amazing! The Shrimp Scampi Capellini was to die for! Best first time experience ever.
Our server did an excellent job, he was very attentive. The food was very good, I rated
five star in all categories. My wife's filet was just right, however mine was a little over
done for a medium rare. I asked the sommelier to choose our wine as we like to try
new wines he did a fine job.
Filet was over-salted. Couldn't taste any Cajun spices on the Cajun Ribeye. And it was a bit tough. Shrimp and bread were excellent. Get the bread and the lobster bisque soup and make a meal on that.
I didn't care for the location not too much parking at the steakhouse. I didn't really care for the service she wasn't attentive enough but I still tipped her and I didn't like the food at all so I would not recommend or be coming back to this place.
If you like being the Captain for your party, then go here. They gave us the same waiter and same table as a previous dining experience, even though we requested in advance for a different server. My husband and I had to anticipate our tables needs; we pulled the service from the staff. My husband and I were unable to enjoy the evening with our family because we had to work. This restaurant is mediocre in every way. If I'm spending $1000. I don't want to work, I want to relax and enjoy. There are too many places in Dallas to eat for us to go to Morton's again.
Food was ok, but just. Lobster was consistently over cooked. Steak had great flavor, but had some grizzle, which surprised me for a filet. Server was good, but seemed stretched.
Morton's has been our favorite steakhouse for years. We always celebrate our family events at Morton's. Service has always been fast and efficient. Steaks are exceptional. Great for romantic dinners or celebrating big birthdays. The best!
The server recommended the Cajun Prime Ribeye and after tasting it, not sure what the rest of the food tasted like...
Morton's is usually very good but our plates were cold and the meat was tough. We both ordered medium rare but it was more well done. For the price that we paid it should've been a lot better. I dont think we will be returning and it's a shame cause we use to love this place to go for special occasions.
The food was, as always, outstanding. Our wait staff was excellent. However, this was a Valentine's Day lunch for my elderly father at 2p and the entire restaurant was dedicated to resetting tables from the lunch rush. The hostess placed me in a chair in the pathway of that effort and staff was carrying glasses, plates, the dish rack from the dishwasher OVER my head. They grabbed and bumped my chair for 15 minutes until I had to move. But the bustle continued uninterrupted around us. I would suggest Morton's close for an hour to reset instead of subjecting patrons eating $200 lunches to the clean up.
I was surprised how good the bread was. The food was excellent. I really really enjoyed my date night at Morton's.
Went there for the 1st time bcuz someone gave us a gift card. I'll say most of the food was great, with 1 exception. The lobster bisque was bland and came out cold. I've had better at several other competitors. Service was pretty good....we ordered a second cocktail and never received it. My wife ordered the Cobb salad and said it was the best she ever had. I had the shrimp Alexander and it was fantastic. For meals, my wife got the 6oz filet and said it was excellent. I got the steak and lobster special and it was absolutely amazing. Also ordered the Martinelli zinfandel and it was one of the best we've had. I would definitely feel good about taking others here.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday and they did everything they could to make it special!!
Enjoyable atmosphere, lightning, and comfortable seats. Mora was our server and she was great and attentive. Ribeye with truffle butter, mash potatoes, and mushrooms was excellent. Great flavor and taste.
The service was impeccable and the food was divine. It's been several years since we were there, but they didn't disappoint. We'll remember them for any special occasion. Loved the experience.
It’s quite an expensive meal but the food was absolutely delicious and the service at the bar was great too!
The staff & manager went above and beyond for our special occasion celebration. The food was amazing as well!
Food was great. Service was not the best. The atmosphere was okay, but loud.
Food was Horrible. Steak was over cooked and burned. I showed to the waitress, she said sorry but didn’t care about it, didn’t ask for exchange, didn’t even informed the manager about it. So, the manager didn’t came for an apology. Instead they even charged the full price of the steak. I paid $100 for 2 over cooked burned steaks. I didn’t wanted to ruin my day, because it was a special occasion. The Service was very unsatisfactory. Will not return there again.
Really need to consider LIVE music for dinner hours. Would add so much to the dining experience!
I had the steak and lobster special and it was delicious.
Henry gave us excellent service.
Food was fantastic! Some of the best steak and lobster I have ever had!
Great experience and food
We got to the restaurant early by one hour plenty of tables available but they would not let us go ahead of our reservation. We had a 7:15 got there at 6:15.
Waited over an hour for our table all while the restaurant had plenty of tables available.
It is apparent they don’t like reservation thru open table.
Service was horrible.
We have been many times before.
The biggest reason that we go to Morton's is due to their prix fix menus which are typically a great deal. However on our most recent experience, our waiter was incredibly slow, did not offer refills on beverages or wine, forgot the sides that went with the prix fix menu. The entire experience took 2.5 hours with a prix fix menu and only 1 glass of wine.
Everyone from the valet, hostess, and our server provided stellar customer service. We will definitely make this another one of our restaurant stops in the future!
Fabulous food, love the steak and lobster special.
Food was great and service was perfect! Didn’t get a 5 because they seated us at what we consider to be one of the worst tables in the place. Right by the hostess stand. Was cold from door opening and closing at the constant traffic by our table was distracting.
Really poor service - our waiter didn’t give us the specials and couldn’t answer my questions about the menu. I asked for more butter and never got it. When we said we didn’t want to drink the waiter acted like we were wasting his time. I am highly disappointed by the lack of service at such a fine dining establishment. I had the beef short rib and it was all fat.
Simply outstanding. We loved the decor - Morton's classic interior "new look." Its elegant with subdued lighting that gives it a very different feel from the traditional dark woods/walled steakhouses.
The onion bread was soft and warm. The jumbo shrimp were firm and the cocktail sauce tangy with the right amount of horse radish. No need to add more. The steaks (filets and bone in ribeye) were cooked to perfection. The lobster tail was succulent and moist. One of the best I've had. The entrees remained hot/warm to the last bite. The carrot cake was absolutely delicious with two layers of cream cheese with a hint of orange flavoring. The Yirgircheffe Ethiopian coffee is the best cup of coffee I've had at a restaurant. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. We would definitely dine at this location in Dallas again.
It was amazing, birthday celebration for my boyfriend. The personalized menu was a very nice touch.
Great service & great help setting up private dining room
Steaks and sides were exceptional. However, the waiter was very average.
New Year dinner with family
I went there for our 38 th anniversary and let them know when I made the reservation and even reminded them when I arrive and nothing was done. To top it off I ordered a 12 oz filet and you would think that such a prestigious “Steak House” would know how to cook a medium filet but they could not, the first time was burnt as extra well done and the second one was raw. The sad part is that Management could care less.
