Great service, the tuna tartare was not the best, I told our waitress and she took it off the bill was not expected but very much appreciated. They also helped us celebrate our anniversary with a complementary dessert again not expected but appreciated! Will Be back!
Great place to fine dine. Would put it up against any in DFW area.
Wonderful evening to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The hostess and waiter welcomed my wife with a “happy birthday” which was appreciated.
Scott, our server, was excellent! He gave us advice on the menu and during our dinner was available for any needs. He also shared information about Morton’s (e.g., the pig figurine candle on the table).
The food was okay. The chopped mixed salad is better left alone. Good but bland. My wife enjoyed her Caesar salad. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were large and served with cocktail sauce and a second sauce on the side. The entrees were delicious but the sides were just ordinary. Not great but not bad. The creamed spinach was just not there. Cream overwhelmed the spinach. The corn soufflé was the better choice of our two sides. My medium rare filet mignon was more rare than medium rare but that was fine with me, better to be on the rare side than overcooked. My wife said her sea bass was delicious.
We closed with their version of the molten chocolate cake with ice cream which was the highlight of the meal - outstanding!
Overall, we had an enjoyable evening with good food and better ambiance and service. If the food last night was an indication of Morton’s, I’ll stick with other upscale steakhouses closer to home.
This Morton restaurant seems to be struggling with getting back to basics regarding an upper scale restaurant. Our waitress started by not even noticing we did not received the complementary loaf of bread you get at the beginning. She took our order and brought half of the appetizers and blame the kitchen for the missing oysters when it was obvious to everyone she just forgot. We felt a lie is worst than the truth and we understand we are all humans. It should have been better to admit the error and move on. She then brought the oysters and the food was ready sitting at the counter but she decided to wait until we finish the appetizers so by the time the food hit the table it was cold and we had to send it back so they could reheat it all. The steaks lack that upper scale type taste you should get when paying over $100 Per person for this dinner. The signature lobster macaroni was so over salted no one really ate it. Even after all the food going back to the kitchen no manager ever stop by to check on our experience or to just say they were sorry about the issue. Overall a very poor experience and the 5 of us will not come back to this place anytime in the near future.
Enjoyed Thanksgiving with my family, nice break from the normal Thanksgiving cooking routine.
From the entrance and all the staff very friendly and professional. Food was superb. We also had drinks and dessert, and of course great. The quality of food was top shelf. price a little high, but for the quality well worth it. We will be back.
Service and food were spot on as expected. Our server made the evening especially enjoyable.
Excellent food and great service
Our night was wonderful. We were celebrating my girlfriends birthday and most of the staff wished her a happy birthday throughout the night. The food was so good. Nothing was mediocre. I can’t wait to go back.
This was my first time there and it was AMAZING. The food and the drink OMG WONDERFUL
Absolutely our favorite steakhouse for a special night out
Experience I had in the Dallas Morton's isn't equivalent to the other Morton's I dined at. Last month, I had a great experience dining at the San Diego Morton's. Dallas Morton's is average compared to the other steak houses in the area.
Went to celebrate a Birthday !
Great experience overall. Very nice !
Service was awesome! Chaz did a great job. Sides were very bland.
We have enjoyed Mortons for a very long time. We’re rather surprised when the food did not impress us as it usually does. Of particular concern is the elimination of several of our favorite deserts.
The food was excellent. Cooked to perfection. A special order was granted and was cooked perfectly. The service seemed distracted and haphazard even though the restaurant was not crowded at all since it was still early.
Truly excellent waitress undercut by a kitchen staff that was more focused on getting the food out fast (before the wine could even be poured) than staging it in the correct way for a relaxed meal.
Food was great! Service was great!
Did Not disappoint……. Our waitress was both knowledgeable and very attentive. The food was AMAZING and not only lived up to our expectations but surpassed them.
Great experience and the staff was great!
We went on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday celebration. The restaurant seemed understaffed. We had to wait a little longer to be seated due to this. Our server was amazing. He made sure to keep checking on us to ensure all was well. Unfortunately one of our steaks was overdone. Ordered medium and got well done. Thankfully our server was quick to fix this. Overall the food was ok but we won’t be back to pay that price for ‘ok’ food.
The service was great, and the place was nice. The only thing is that the New York Strip was a bit on the burnt side from the outside as I had ordered my steak medium. The overall flavor of the steak was not good either way.
The chop salad was blah. New York strip was burnt on the outside and was not really good. The service was good but extremely slow. Waited a long time between the salad and the main course. Maybe they are short staffed all around.
Server told my wife the special was King Crab legs served either cold or hot. My wife asked for them cold. When her food came it was COLD CRAB CAKES!!! Who eats crab cakes cold!! GM said server was mistaken and they didn’t have a way to serve them cold. Truluck’s Resturant puts them in the blast chiller. I can’t imagine a high end restaurant not having one. They redid her crab cakes and comped them but REALLY?
Absolutely GREAT dinner and attentive wait staff and maitre d!
I haven't been to Morton's in a very long time. Food was pretty good, as was the service. We didn't get a tremendous amount of attention, but we weren't completely ignored either. The wine list was average. We found an old favorite on the list, but I would've had trouble finding a 2nd choice. Despite a modest dress code, several guests were in board shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. On a positive note, the hostess did ask several guests to remove their trucker hats as she sat them. I might try them again, but it won't be anytime soon.
Out of all the fine dining restaurants my husband and I have been my sea bass was very small.
The service was slow. I balance this against the obvious service industry staffing shortages, so I’m being as objective as possible. I ordered an old fashioned and it took 20 minutes to arrive. Service took 15-20 minutes before we met our server. The pace of contact with our server was infrequent. This is partly due to the aforementioned circumstance. The delivery of appetizers and main course was stilted and mistimed. The filets and ribeyes were lacking flavor and the ribeye was tough. It was all surely prime beef, but not prepared properly. If you are a steakhouse market yourself as top tier, execute on that! The sides were good. The desserts were flat. Crime brûlée served at room temperature??? Chocolate mousse that was more like canned cake icing??? The old fashioned that was delivered was far and away the most uninspired bland cocktail I’ve had in years. We spent over $800 last night and it will be the last of the money spent with Morton’s. Perry’s, Del Friscos, Pappas, Al Biernat’s, and Bob’s all present substantially higher quality experiences.
We went to dinner expecting an experience equal to or better than our last. We were extremely disappointed. There was a significant size discrepancy between two identical steaks. The temperatures were also off. The steaks were sent back twice. By that time, they were both almost well done instead of medium and medium well. This was very disappointing.
Dinner was excellent but it was a nat that was taking over had to cover our bread. Please spray for unwanted bugs
Food was fantastic.. great waitress… !!
Had a very nice time celebrating our anniversary. We were disappointed in our steaks. They were cooked perfectly but not Not tender. Not the high quality we are used to.
Love it. Great service and delicious meal!
Excellent service from Brian and the rest of the team. The drinks, food, and ambiance were all great. It was a delightful dinner and would return again.
Bar tender went so nice while we waited and had a drink. We only ate a few bites of our steak. When when we got home one of our Togo steaks was gone and we had someone else’s Mac and cheese which we didn’t order
Drinks were great. Food was great also. My husband is very particular about his food, and he enjoyed!! Also made us feel very welcomed and celebrated for our anniversary!
We went for our daughters birthday and food and service were terrific. Everything seasoned perfectly. Would definitely go again.
