View Private Dining DetailsThe steak was ordered medium and cake out cold and rare. Service was terrible to send back & then waited forever. I asked for a manager twice and she never came to table.
Our server had a wonderful personality always with a smile. Great choice!
Food took an long time to prepare. Waited forever for the chocolate lava cake despite ordering it in advance, only for the waiter to tell us the kitchen screwed it up and they had to start over. And when it came out, it had no “lava” in the cake. Wait staff delivered the check while eating our dessert, and then twice came by to ask if they could take it even though restaurant was not busy. Very disappointing experience. Not the level of service I expect from Morton’s. Not sure if I will return to the Coral Gables location.
Decided to avoid the Easter Brunch buffet madness and very glad we chose Morton's.
Food was very good. Location was not so great.
Son’s birthday
We enjoyed our visit, Carlos our waiter was very kind and professional. Food was delicious, we particularly enjoyed every item but were happily surprised by the cauliflower mash and the cheesecake
They didn’t pack the leftover truffle fries as we asked them to. We also did not have a good experience towards the end of the meal.
Chinese chop salad was pretty plain and average at best given the competition in the area. I would recommend morton's for dinner not lunch
41st Birthday
I am a big Morton's fan, but the Coral Gables location deserves to lose their affiliation. We poured our own drinks. We went to the bar to get more drinks, we food was never plated, medium rare mean blue on some plates yet mine was so gray I thought it was pork.
Anniversary
We had a very nice early dinner
Sat next to a bunch of super drunk and loud people, steak was really under cooked, bathrooms weren't clean (cigarette in the sink). Very different from other Morton's I've been to.
The food was quite good, but very pricey. All in, including a nominal gratuity, about $120 per person. I brought my own wine from my cellar, corkage was $35, on the high side around here. We were a party of 3, all had the 12 oz. filet ($59), no additional drinks, two appetizers (bacon wrapped scallops and a chopped salad), one side dish, one dessert, and coffee. The waiter told us of some specials for this evening, but never mentioned the $39 twin lobster tails special that some friends who arrived after we had finished our entree told us about. Also, we parked in the garage in the same building as the restaurant. I asked about parking validation and he stamped out tickets telling us we would get a discount on parking, but, when we got to the cashier, she did not honor the stamp on our ticket and each car was charged a full $10 parking fee. Also, the restaurant was quite noisy, making conversation difficult as we were in a large booth. I do not anticipate a return trip anytime soon.
Top steaks but not the "Best in Town", recommendable
Nadia was very attentive and gave great recommendations.
I made last minute Valentines Day reservations and got the time I wanted, compared to the two other favorite places I tried. I had a bad recollection of Mortons from the last time I went. Thjis time was better.
The food was good. Service was prompt.
Drawbacks: No car valet in front of the restaurant and there is little or no parking in Coral Gables. I had to circle the block before using the valets on the Miracle Mile side.
Design: You have to guess where the front door is. Oh, bathrooms are on the second floor but there is an elevator.
Overall...I would go again under similar circumstances, that is, if my other choices fell through. There are enough premium restaurants in Coral Gables with less issues.
Very nice and attentive waitress.overall great service!
Great service. Lobster cocktail was delicious. Great dessert selection.
We had a very nice dinner and our server was great
The beef is outstanding! And the Godiva chocolate cake is a must !!! Great experience!
AWESOME!!!
Went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Very sorry we did. The steaks were excellent, however the service was the worst I have ever experienced. Our server was pulled away without any notice and we were left there for a half an hour wondering if we were going to be able to order desert - after my daughter was brought out a 'hot' desert that was cold. The manager was not helpful at all. He had other things to do. The prices are simply too high for this poor of service. My advise is to avoid Morton's - there are too many other good places close by.
Was there for New Years and food and service was impeccable. Returned January 28, and from the start, it was one inconvenience after another. Called to confirm reservations, first call on hold, no one picked up, second call someone rudely hung up; reservations were for 6, table set for 5; had to ask for bread twice; fries and steaks were barely warm and the place was almost empty. Now I know why.
everything was excellent. Food, service and atmosphere was all great
Service was excellent, food was great, would come back again! The steaks were pretty tender, too and I loved the bread :D
This was the second time that I was disappointed at Morton’s in Coral Gables. The one downtown seems to have much better quality food. I will say that the truffled cauliflower mash was amazing, but other than that, the food was not at Morton’s usual standard.
Service was mediocre at best
Appetizers were OK
Possibly the most overdone crab legs I’ve ever had
We had 11 dining
the sides were all extremely greasy
We ate out I have a Lotta find out is that with moods and I had been on the impressions Morton’s was still a decent place
Boy was I wrong
One trip upstairs to the bathroom and you will see they don’t care about this place the walls are all chipped up the paint is cracked and running and they’re just trying to squeeze out a few more dollars and unwilling to reinvest in their asset
Sad
Excellent, we were surprised with a special give to my son. A delicious cake and a photo.
Excellent meal w excellent service in a great location
service needs an overhaul. waitress disappeared, never presented the special dessert option, never asked if we had the membership.
I've dined at this Morton's many times in the past and was satisfied with the food and service. This last visit, the food was a complete disaster to the point that the general manager apologized profusely and did his best to accommodate for the horrible food prep. I will definitely NOT return to this location
We celebrated my grandson's birthday at Morton's. The table was decorated and the menus had his name on them, nice touch! As you enter the restaurant, there is a noticeable odor similar to a room that has been closed up for a while. The quality of food does not equate to the prices charged. I had the club sandwich for lunch; the meat on the sandwich must have been housed with other foods because it took on other food tastes. The homemade potato chips were tasteless. My daughter had the oriental chicken salad, and it was nothing special. My grandchildren had Steak Burgers and macaroni and cheese. I never have seen my grandsons leave over macaroni and cheese until today. The warm bread served prior to the meal was probably the best part of the meal. The waiter was fair, but not trained to accommodate clientele in an upscale restaurant. Coral Gables is home to many remarkable restaurants; however, Morton's is not one of them.
A very nice evening hosted by wonderful service, a perfectly cooked steak, and great martinis!
We made a sudden decision to celebrate NYE in Maimi, flew to into town New Year's Eve and made reservations that same day. The food was great, that atmosphere was amazing, everyone was in great spirit, the service was amazing. Thank you staff of Morton's for making the celebration a wonderful experience.
!meat, salads, desserts always very good. great service !!
Went to have dinner on New Year’s Eve; all went well but we could not have the dessert we wanted because it took :45 to prepare and we were not informed of that up front when ordering or meal.
I had the Wagyu beef and it was unbelievable one of the best steaks I have ever had. The whole staff is so accommodating to your ever need.
Wonderful food, wonderful service
