Morton's The Steakhouse - Cleveland Ratings and Reviews
1st time there as my wife and I celebrated our birthdays. The food was FABULOUS!!!!! Really enjoyed the entire experience from Danny, our young and friendly waiter, to the ambiance to the outstanding selection of wine and food to select from. And I can't forget the bread that was served prior to dinner. My wife couldn't stop commenting how light and flavorful it was!!! Well done and continued success!
I would reserve Morton's for special occasions because it is far pricier than other fine dining establishments in downtown Cleveland. Be prepared to spend about $250. ++ Per couple. The lobster was quite good as was the filet. The al a carte sides of potatoes au gratin and mashed cauliflower were nothing special. The service is also very attentive and professional.
The food is overpriced for what you get. There are other steak restaurants in the area that far exceed this restaurant. The steaks were not seasoned, a little salt and pepper goes a long way especially when they charge extra for any sauces or sides. The service was great but I would most likely not return.
We had a wonderful time and the food, drinks, service were fantastic! Be prepared to spend some money but this was for a special occasion. You can't beat Mortons Cleveland for a great dinner and service . You will see they they do the little extras that is well worth the money you will pay. Memories are priceless!
We were a family party of 3. We had escargot (yum!) filet mignon, salad, asparagus, and lyonnaise potatoes. Soufflé and molten chocolate cake for dessert. The meals were cooked to perfection as always. The wait staff was attentive (just right). The before dinner cocktails set the wonderful tone for the perfect birthday celebration. This is the place to go for a special occasion. Expensive but absolutely delish start to finish.
The waiter took our picture and delivered it to the table! Nice touch.
Aside from the filet mignon which was cooked exactly to order, everything else was average. I did appreciate the remodeled ambiance and the service. But the entire enormous loaf of bread was a waste, and nothing special anyway, and the salad and baked potato were uninspired. Regarding the baked potato... have you ever had one at a steakhouse and it has that nice charred and salty skin? The kind you can't stop eating its so good? Well, not here. Alas. For the price point, they are missing something that its competitors usually have....
Been going to the Morton's chain for many years in different cities. Had a few bad experiences at the Cleveland outpost. Gave it another chance for a pre-game birthday dinner. Food, service and the ambiance was OUTSTANDING. If you are on their mailing list you will be made aware of their special 3 or 4 course dinners at a great price! Looking forward to our next visit.
Every employee went out of their way to accommodate our last minute group of 8 which included younger diners. The wait staff was polite, engaged and informative. The wine selections they helped with were perfect for our courses and very tasty. Definitely a well managed dining establishment.
Morton's had a 3-course special for $40. I knew about it since I am part of their email club, and in order to see the special menu you did have to ask for it. We did order a bacon wrapped scallop appetizer. They come 3 to an order, so the waiter asked if we wanted to add 1 more for like$5 extra, so we did so we could have 2 each. We got 6 oz. filet's done medium. These were very good, nice and tender. The garlic green beans were a little burned, would probably not get again. The sour cream mashed potatoes were very good. My boyfriend got the chocolate mousse and I got the key lime pie as our desserts. The mousse was so rich, good but trying one bite was enough for me. The key lime pie was really good, nice and refreshing. Overall very good meal. Can't wait until it comes to Buffalo!
Mortons Cleveland was superb. The steaks were delicious and the service was excellent. The decor was sophisticated, similar to a NYC upscale restaurant. We were given a free desert which, given the high cost of Mortons, was a nice touch. Our waitress has been at Mortons Cleveland for 22 years, and is a real pro.
Honestly, I was very disappointed with my dinner there. While, the staff and new décor really impressed the food was WAY below par! In retrospect, I did nothing more than waste my money on a birthday dinner. I wish I would have trusted my gut and gone with my first choice for another restaurant. Morton's Cleveland - you need to up your game. The only good parts of the meal were the wine, shrimp cocktail and dessert.
We always love to visit Morton's, but this trip was not our favorite. My wife ordered a mango salad that was tasteless, one of the worst salads I've ever tasted. She also wanted to have something besides steak and went with a pork chop, it tasted like a pork chop you would get at a greasy spoon restaurant at three in the morning (bland). My wife did enjoy our large baked potato that we shared.
My ceasar salad was very good, as was my NY strip. We also ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert, it is delicious. Overall it was an expensive dinner for my wife to enjoy her baked potato and dessert.
Food was excellent. Nice way to celebrate my 5oth birthday. Impressed with the menu that had a personal message to me. Rachel, the assistant manager was nice and courteous. Dan, our server was great as well. Enjoyed the atomspere, food, birthday wishes, and the night.
Recently ate dinner there while visiting Cleveland. This was our 2nd time dining at a Morton's The Steakhouse (other time in Tarrytown, NY), and it was just as excellent as we have come to expect. The service was outstanding. Our server, Maurice, was very personable, attentive, and took good care of my husband who has dietary issues. Our steaks, creamed spinach, and caesar salads were delicious!
