We have been here many times and always enjoy it. We go to Chicago for the Housewares show and it is a great place to entertain.Just too much food, but they will spilt a meal which is always helpful. Always enjoy the sides.
Very good dinner. Price not bad for a Chicago restaurant. Beef was prepared perfectly!
In addition to great steaks, the Angus cheeseburger available at the bar is not to be missed.
Mothers 98th birthday
Shawn was a wonderful server, and the manager kept coming to make sure everything was okay!
Great! Truly gray meal and date night
My server’s name was Maria and she was extremely helpful In helping me choose the perfect steak. I had the porterhouse, and it was fantastic!
Service was slow, got our menus well after sitting, never reviewed menu or specials. Wrong sides brought and blamed the guy who brought it to the table - the wrong side had shellfish, my wife is allergic. No real apology, just switched out and deducted from the bill. poor value for the price. unegeged wait staff
The best steaks in the world. The hospitality is great too. Dinner at Morton's is always special because they take the time to do everything right. Keep it up!
A real Chicago steakhouse with a great feel and tradition. The food is great an the service is impeccable. Friendly and helpful staff that is very engaging. John the bartender is very friendly engaging and treats you like it is your restaurant!
Great time as always, our server (I believe his name was Ricky) did an excellent job and was very attentive!
Morton’s The Steakhouse - you would never complain about the steak.
I’d love to share about the nice, hot bread which had onion flavors. Soft and tender, you would forget how much you eat. The lobster bisque had a hint of spicy (kids be sure you can eat spicy before you order). Surprisingly the spice together with lobster is a nice combination. The cocktails are in the good quality. The New York Cheesecake is soft and not too sweet hence if you have coffee it’s a perfect match (I know they have trademark dessert but pardon me I love cheesecake).
The overall experience is superb. I sincerely recommend to you. One last recommendation- please carefully dress before you go.
The word "classic" is defined to be; judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind. With that definition you can certainly add the word "Classic" to Morton Steakhouse. It is a Classic in Chicago. The Filet Mignon was superb. Absolutely perfect. Could not have been better. The sides from the salads to the mashed potatoes were all great. To top it off, the service was not intrusive but were there to fill the water glasses, ask if you needed a refill from a bar drink and were just wonderful. The owners made their rounds checking on things and it was just a classic steakhouse experience. A wonderful night. LOVED IT!
Steak was good, sides were only fair
We had such a great time at Morton’s! It was our 5 year anniversary and they made us feel so special; from the personalized menu to the photo your waiter takes of you and you get to keep! The food was spectacular! Not only were we celebrating our anniversary but the kickoff of Chicago restaurant week, which is one of our favorite times of the year! Shout out to Sammy, he was a great waiter!
The bread is delicious! I believe it has caramelized crispy onions on top which was great.
I had Lobster bisque, I wish the lobster in the soup was cut up a little bit as I had a huge chunk in there, but it was still good.
For the main course I had the shrimp scampi capellini, SO GOOD! The shrimp is buttery, garlicky, and just overall amazing! Eric got the steak, that just melted in your mouth!
The dessert: I got the Morton’s chocolate cake, which oozes chocolatey goodness once you cut into it. Eric had the chocolate mousse which was light and decadent, but we have to admit the chocolate cake is where it’s at!
Also, for a drink Eric ordered the manhattan which came with a piece of steak in it. Perfect cocktail!
Thank you Morton’s!
Carne completamente senza sapore.
One of our favorite spots.
Outstanding overall . Do miss the menu presentation which made Morton distinctive .
Perfect like always
Reliable delicious with fantastic service and all courses excellent.
Excellent service and the wait staff very helpful in ordering.
Great service food came out quick
Was disappointed in the filet oscar style. Twice baked potatoes and cream spinach left me wanting something else. I would recommend Ruth Chris over mortons
Excellent service and food. Great food selection.
Mariya and Suzanne were great. Anticipated what we might need, yet unobtrusive. We were truly spoiled. We’ve dined at Morton’s for business, but this was an anniversary and we loved it. Definitely a gem in our neighborhood.
We had a super lovely Christmas Dinner! The food, atmosphere, service and the fact our family was all together made it a great evening!
Excellent meal, great service. You can tell a really good cut of meat, super tender filet, juicy scallops.
The food was great, full of flavor. Our servers awesome. Over all good time, thank you
Fantastic food and extremely attentive service. Get ready to spend some money and enjoy it!
The food was amazing
Restaurant is located in the basement of the building a table of a 15 top was behind us extremely loud we actually asked to move they can table continue to be low no man to do anything about it or service seem to be unhappy that’s resulting in bad service and food for the price mediocre
We always enjoy our meals at Morton's. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the mac and cheese is a must and the sauteed spinach & mushrooms was delicious! One of our favorites!
The original Mortons. Great steaks, great wine choices.
It was absolutely amazing, my daughter said it was the best steak she ever had
One of my favorite restaurants for steak and seafood. Great service.
It was a Birthday
It’s no surprise why Morton’s has been around so long. As with past visits, it was one of the best meals I’ve had. The petite filet is flavorful and melts in the mouth. The side dishes are large enough for 2-3 people. Order the Au Gratin potatoes! Wow! Our server Maria was knowledgeable, attentive and personable. We were too full for dessert and left sinfully happy with full bellys.
Awful. The waiter recommended we have our steaks cooked medium rare for more flavor. We ordered medium rare. My bone in rib eye was well done and charred on the edges. My husband’s strip steak was also ordered medium rare and it was delivered medium. We each had over cooked steaks, 2 soups, 1 creamed spinach, and 1 dessert, plus 2 martinis. The bill was over $300.00. It ended up being very expensive dog food because we couldn’t eat the steaks. It was not the first time we had dinner there. It will be the last.
I was in Chicago with family, so we decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner with you.
Our waitress was very nice.
Everything went fine at the beginning with my party getting a nice booth. And our food was excellent. However, there were large noisy groups all around. AND I specifically mentioned on Open Table that it was a birthday and requested they make it special for the birthday girl with singing, etc. I also mentioned it when we came in to the hostesses. We ordered 3 Soufflés and thought for sure that there would be a candle in one. This did not happen and there was no singing eventhough this occurred at other tables. This was very disappointing. When I complained without the Birthday girl realizing this, our waiter came over and took our picture which he put in a Morton’s keepsake paper frame. This was nice but too little, too late.
