Morton's The Steakhouse - Charlotte
Book your next event with us
IT was a great experience, except for the fact that the 2 steak entrees were both totally done wrong (medium rare is a far cry from well-done, which at least one of the filets was). They took the steaks off the bill, but I would have rather had the steak I ordered than a free one. The kitchen at a place like Morton's should never make that mistake, let alone 2 of them at the same table.
We had the best server, Bill. He was great. The manager came over and spoke with us. I have only one suggestion when it comes to serving old fashions, use those new ice cubes that don't melt and water down the drink.
Food was great. Service very good. Steak was best in Charlotte
my Valentine’s Day was perfect because of this restaurant. The waiter was very nice and caring. My fiancé and I had a great time. Thank youuu
Amazing very satisfied would definitely recommend great food quality and service
Christian was our server and he was amazing!!! He was very accommodating and made our experience even more better!
Waiter openly admitted the lobster should never have been served. We weren't charged for it but went home hungry
Steak was good though.
Great place food and service out of this world . Took my girlfriend there for Valentine's day and have to say we had a great evening.
The food was very well prepared. The waitstaff was attentive and informed. The drinks from the bar could have been better.
What a great meal and experience! We went to Morton’s for Valentine’s Day and everything was top notch. The staff was super friendly, our waiter Chris was outstanding and the food was excellent. I ordered the Cajun ribeye and I’m pretty sure I saw god.
It. Was. Incredible! The best steak I’ve had in a very long time.
The onion bread, Morton’s salad, crab cake, Brussel sprouts, hash brown potatoes, and strawberry cake/cheesecake dessert were also delicious
We will certainly be back.
The service was absolutely amazing. I would definitely visit again or recommend to friends
Service just o.k. Side came when I was just finishing my steak.
Not like the Morton's of old
Best steak in town. Hands down.
Diner met onze kersverse schoondochter en zoon
Zeer vriendelijke bediening en lekker eten
Alleen de Margarita’s waren te straf
3/4 steaks were cooked incorrectly 3 different times!
Morton’s provides a high quality food and service experience. Food was great , service was good. It’s a bit annoying to be charged a $35 corkage fee when you spend over $600 for a meal.
Always friendly and courteous staff.
Great staff, loved the seating, very pleasant dinner
Service was outstanding.
My first time visiting, loved everything about it!
We were very please with Morton’s food. Thank your for a wonderful experience!
Went for restaurant week so value was good, but if I had paid “menu” price for my experience, would probably be a 1-2 star rating.
We both ordered the filet medium, I received a well done filet and my fiend received a NY Strip(?). Wouldn’t have been a problem, but the server didn’t check back after food was delivered for nearly 15 minutes. We had sat down about an hour before closing, so it wasn’t super busy, which meant no traffic for me to even flag down someone. We ended up just eating our meal due to the time and is being hungry.
Dessert was good but disappointed with the steaks. Can only complain so much given it was $35, but definitely will influence my decision when considering a nice dinner out (especially when there’s a lot of options in uptown - Ruth’s, capital grille, Fleming’s)
Amazing food. I have never experienced steak the way Morton’s does it! I will definitely be back.
They have a wonderful Moscow Mule. The food was good but not worth the cost.
Really great service. My girlfriend forgot her glasses and the waiter ran us down, which was appreciated. My girlfriends steak was excellently cooked, a perfect rare with a wonderful sear. My steak was slightly over cooked on the thinner side, but still delicious. Also, the bread they serve as the appetizer is the bomb. Could easily have eaten two or three of those. Really only issue was the slight overcooking of a small edge of my steak.
A very classy place. The food is outstanding and the service is always great. They really now how to cook a steak and make a cocktail!
We were seated promptly. Restaurant was nice inside. Our waitress was very unfriendly and we even attempted at making small talk and it was not reciprocated at all. We didn’t enjoy the onion roll bread. Our ceasar salads were great! My filet was ok and my daughter really enjoyed hers. Neither of us likes the augratin potatoes. We paid 12.00 upcharge for their famous choc cake which was no better than Applebee’s. Our total bill was 97.00 and I paid 120.00 total. If I ever encounter another high end restaurant with such rude staff, I will not order and will leave which is what we should have done. We always do 1-2 restaurants on restaurant week and this is the first that had been terribly disappointing. I would say save your money and go elsewhere!
Food was delicious!
Although the food was excellent, we had great servers but it seemed like they were overbooked on tables and that made times where I had an empty drink on my table for more than 10 minutes and dirty plates the same amount of time. So as a patron I felt neglected.
We had a party of 8, our table was set for 6. We were given one wine menu for 8 girls and when I asked for a couple more, I was told we’ll see. After 8 mins of no one returning to bring another or to ask for our drink order, I went and got some more from the host stand myself. Very long time to order drinks and dinner. It was a 3hour dinner, and 2 hours would have been plenty of time. Kevin did recognize the poor experience we were having and tried to help with a few free glasses of wine which we appreciated. The server, while nice, had no sense of urgency to notice that we were left alone for long periods with nothing. Overall I would choose many other locations in Charlotte to repeat a girls dinner or a celebration of birthdays and promotions as we were doing.
Went here for Queen's Fest Restaurant Week. Very nice and good food. Staff was very helpful and nice.
Even though we went to participate in restaurant week, my meal was mediocre and the ambiance was so drab! This place needs an update. 3 of our steaks were over done and an item off the regular menu that was ordered was described poorly on the menu. Service was great and accommodating but I would not go back to pay regular prices.
The cut of steak and pork was excellent. The sides were very average and nothing to write home about. Our server was fantastic and we enjoyed him! For the price we would not return.
Nice ambiance and decor. VERY low sanitation score - 90 (no excuse)! Good service in the beginning (Chris). Appetizers and entree were good. Service started declining - Chris rarely came to our table after the entrees came, and when he did, he just picked up a plate or two and would not ask if we needed anything or if everything was okay. When the desserts came,he brought a large soufflé, but never asked if we wanted the large one - we didn’t, as the desserts were included in Restaurant Week menu. Soufflé was nothing like Morton’s soufflé of the past. Chris dropped off the bill and walked off.
We will never go back.
Thank you all for making my sister's birthday even more special.
Had a great time for my wife’s birthday and they added the custom text on the menu.
Best steak that I've literally ever eaten. We went for Restaurant Week, so the value was amazing. Our server was attentive and friendly. And be sure not to leave without getting the Legendary Chocolate Cake. It is very appropriately named!
We have been to Morton’s several times and have had a great experience. We had family in town and decided to take them for Restaurant Week. We ordered and waited 20 minutes for our salads. We then waited 30 minutes for our steaks. Our kids split the 10 oz filet. We ordered it Medium rare and it came out well done. The manager brought out another one about 15-20 minutes later and it was very rare. Noticeably so since they cut the steak for the kids. We had to send that back. When it came back out, the pieces that were cut off were now well and charred. The larger pieces were ok, but a little charred. One side looked better than the other. One kid didn’t eat, stopped and got her food on the way home after spending $45 on her dinner. Wait staff wasn’t as friendly as usual. Won’t go back. There are too many other steakhouses in the area.
Had a fabulous pre-theater dinner with the whole family. Manager and Servers were great and very attentive! Will definitely return!
