Morton's The Steakhouse - Charlotte
Book your next event with us
This is the one place we can count on to never let disappoint, the way we are greeted when we arrive, it feels like walking into a family event “where everyone knows your name”, and they treat you like family. Chris Connelly provide fun, friendly knowledgeable service and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. The food and drinks were outstanding as always, you just cannot find a better place for service, food quality and a great atmosphere.
We also got to meet the new General Manager, welcome to the best place to dine in Charlotte, Eric.
Average - service was good but food was average.
My wife and I enjoy Morton’s every time. The staff is always very attentive and the food is always excellent. We look forward to our next visit!
For my birthday, Morton’s was amazing and accommodating for a large last minute party of 16. The table setup and personalized menu was an excellent introduction into the evening. Drinks were fabulous, the wait staff was very pleasant and mostly attentive, all was going well until the food arrived. Out of 16 people, 4 of us including myself had to send our steaks back for being overcooked. We were assured they would bring out new steaks that would be properly cooked. Well they weren’t sadly, it was more of the same but we were hungry and let the staff know, they weren’t cooked right but edible. Again we were assured this would be made right by management. When I received my bill for close to $500 for 4 of my 16 guests, I noticed a $12 credit....$12 for 4 steaks that weren’t eaten. Not quite how I expected Morton’s to treat a large party celebrating a birthday but it is what it is. Some of my guests will never be returning. I’m still undecided.
Our server Kristin was awesome she made sure she gave us enough time between apps, dinner and dessert but yet still got us out in time for the Guns N’ Roses concert.
30th Birthday party! All outstanding
We had a fun family dinner prior to attending a show at Belk theater with is a casual walk from the restaurant.
Looking for a great steak Morton’s is for you. A typical Chicago Steak house so a bit Noisy.
The menu and wine list were exceptional. Our service was friendly, attentive and fantastic. Terrific experience!!
Terrible service. Zero wine expertise. Very mediocre food. Avoid this franchise.
Always consistent food quality and service with a excellent service and atmosphere. The mood is set with great decor and lighting. Servers are well versed in menu items likes and dislikes. The variety of options given makes choosing dishes much easier.
Service by Bill was amazing, food was perfect!
Visit date: 8/30/2019- We RSVP from Open Table. I will say this just because Open Table say there is no more slots, call Morton because Morton might have open slots.
FOOD- I had the Sea Bass now it was OK. I have had better.. way better. My Husband has the Ribeye (I think the Cajun style) and he said it was REALLY GOOD. He had the Manhattan drink, must have been made by two different people.. the first one was very strong and the second one was not strong enough. The table bread was good. The waiter brought us some blue cheese dressing because she said Morton is famous for the blue cheese dressing. Now I'm not a blue cheese lover but that was good. The Bread Pudding was good.
SERVICE- The service started out GREAT. But as she got busy it started it to lag a LOT we waited like 10 mins just for them to bring our food back from being box. Don't get me wrong she was good.
INSIDE: Dim setting and light nice setting. Very romantic.
Would I go back?? I don't think so! Not saying it was that bad BUT not GREAT enough especially for the price. We did not have that WOW experience.
Great food, great atmosphere
It was great, It was birthday celebration. The food was good.
The service provided by Bill was outstanding, he was able to get us taken care of so we could get to a concert. Connolly was working in the bar and met us at the door to get our drink orders and have drinks at the table as we were seated.
Great night made better with the amazing service!
The food and dining experience was excellent. The manager was very personable..
Will definitely return when I’m back in Charlotte.
This was a great experience! The food was great the service was excellent, and they showed love for my ladies birthday. I hate that the wine is so marked up but I didn’t buy any so I won’t add that to the rating.
Awesome as usual. Everyone was so kind and attentive. Food was spectacular.
The food was extraordinary good and is of high quality. However it seems that Mortons is spending a good portion of the price on airconditioning. It was freezing cold which took away the good athmosphere and the fun we had with a party of four. The Ladies were extremely unhappy about that. I recommend to wear Winter cloths!
Excellent service! Restaurant manager was very accommodating and checked on us several times! Great steak!!!
Everyone was more than satisfied with their meal. Creamed corn was probably the biggest hit with the group despite all of us loving our steak choices. Great place to celebrate a birthday!
Above average Steak House with good location, excellent valet service, decent menu offered with good quality of food and preparation of meal.
With filet mignon that melted in your mouth, and salmon done perfectly, the main entrees were magnificent. Skip the soup and salad if it isn't restaurant week and included in the price. Although they have a great wine list, it's expensive. Price per glass is $15 and up, which makes sharing a bottle more attractive. Definitely save room for the molten lava cake for dessert, but get one to share since it is a very generous size and comes with vanilla ice cream. Overall, a great, but expensive experience.
I love trying new restaurants and we always take advantage of restaurant week and try at least two places we have never been. This was my first time at Morton's and I was extremely impressed. Other than the construction outside, the restaurant was fabulous. I loved the meal and the ambiance. I will definitely go back. Love, love, love.
My fiance and I had amazing service! Great food, calm atmosphere! Definitely a great date night spot!
Would definitely recommend Morton's for ant type of special occasion. The food was delicious but the best part would have to be the service. The hostess was polite and welcoming and our waitress and the rest of the wait staff was extremely accommodating, helpful, and diligent. The noise was very quiet and pleasant when we first arrived but picked up by the end of our meal, to no fault of Morton's staff, when conversations in other parties began to pick up. The price is, of course, higher than your normal steakhouse but for that special occasion definitely worth the extra money.
New home purchase celebration
I wish there was more than 5 stars for the service. The food and atmosphere were great but the service was out of the world. From our waiter, to the water boy, to the bust boy. The attention to detail and the pride that showed in all they did was phenomenal! I watched as a gentleman broken down, cleaned and replenished the table in front of me. The pride in his work and the enthusiasm on his face said more to me than anything. I can't wait to return for another wonderful experience!
Table was too small. I have dined at lesser priced restaurants that don't even have tables that small. Bread was very good, but very messy having to cut it ourselves. Salads were average at best. My pork chops were good, but nothing to the point of wanting to go back. Just good - not great. My potatoes were average. My wife's steak was good, but again, not great. Nothing special. Her broccoli was average. Our desserts were very good, but once again, we've had much better at lesser priced restaurants.
The food was excellent. My family and I enjoyed the experience of a very pleasant dining evening.
The food was great as always . The service was amazing as well the only complaint is noise level.
Great food and service. Took my dad to celebrate his birthday. He loved it!
Steak sent back twice...could not get proper temp, so didn’t get to eat steak because of time taken already and did not want to send back a third time and wait. The entire party had finished.
Service from Bill was outstanding, even while dealing with a crazy crowd from Queens Feast he made it seem like we were the only people in the restaurant.
The new manager up from Miami was outstanding, very engaging and friendly.
Great food, service, valet and ambiance for our date night.
For the price: I’ve had way better food. The filet was okay, but the potatoes I could have made out of a box of instant Idaho Spuds and it would have tasted better.
Overall: If you’re looking for a nice night out at a higher class restaurant, choose another that’s worth your money.
Food and service were amazing. Wife and I had never been and this place totally lived up to the reputation.
Cant wait to go back, the filet was the best Ive ever had.
We were seated promptly at a reasonably quiet table. This was a table for 4 with 2 seats in a booth. So for 2 sitting on the booth side the wait person had a long reach. This was Queens Feast week in Charlotte so limited menu. We each had a different salad, Caesar and House. Neither were very good. I've had much better Caesar, this was pretty bland. No anchovy taste and wasn't asked if I want some. The house also bland, mostly just lettuce with some Feta cheese. The filets were both very good and done correctly and hot when served. For desert we spit the Mortons hot chocolate cake, wonderful and the Key lime pie also very good. We might come back but found Capital Grill to be superior in almost all ways.
Went for Resteraunt week in Charlotte. The food was amazing. Would definitely come back.
