    For us, a good experience begins with the seating and the view. We had a nice table in the corner with a view of the square. Food was delicious. The lobster bisque is amazing. The chopped salad has tons of flavor and was fresh. The Cesar salad very good as well. I had the new York strip with blue cheese butter and it was cooked to perfection. We had the smoked Gouda scallop potatoes, and spinach mushroom for the sides. Finished the meal off with the key lime pie. The whole meal was fantastic. The place was super busy but our server and the wait staff did a great job. First time for us and we will definitely be back. A repeat offender for sure.

    Always wanted to try Wagyu Steak so had the special SRF Black Label Manhattan cut 8oz Wagyu filet with a side of sautéed spinach & mushrooms. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. However, didn’t see any discernible difference in taste between the Wagyu and the usual filet mignon but I did find the Wagyu to be less tender. Maybe you need to taste them side by side. Overall, a great meal with outstanding service and a phenomenal Manhattan cocktail to go with. I’m doing keto but still couldn’t resist a small pice of the warm onion bread.

    We had a very nice dinner at Morton's. We shared shrimp cocktail--with horseradish on the side to mix to our heat preference, and key lime pie for dessert. In between I had wedge salad, my husband, house; both had filets with sides and sauces of our choice. No complaints on any item. Our server, Max, did an excellent job taking our orders, and checking back to see if everything was to our liking. (Enough times to know he was there, but not intrusive.) Although the tree was down, we enjoyed our view of Fountain Square which we had requested. Brightly lit and a fair amount of foot traffic.

    Had a reservation didn’t get seated for over 20 minutes after the reservation time. Waiter was nice but overwhelmed. Took over 30 minutes for our drinks and over an hour for the food order.

    It took 10 minutes for our server to even bring menus to our table and then at least another 10 for him to return. No offer to order drinks at any point in time. I ordered a cocktail with my dinner order and I ordered my steak blue rare. The steak came out rare to medium rare. I asked the server if he thought my steak was rare and he said, “yes that’s how we make it” and hurriedly walked away. Before he was able to leave I ordered a second cocktail. Our server must’ve mentioned my steak to the manager because she approached our table. The manager was very pleasant and took one look at my steak and agreed that it wasn’t blue rare. She did offer to make me another steak but we were headed to the Bengals game and didn’t really have time to wait. We finished our meals and I still did not have my second cocktail. The server appeared with the bill with no mention of my missing beverage. The manager did comp my steak which was great customer service and I did not expect it. But overall I was completely underwhelmed by my first experience at Morton’s.

    We had a group of eight, and the service was horrendous. Our waiter showed up to take our order about 20 minutes after we sat down and the first thing he said was this restaurant has no clue what it’s doing and then proceeded to curse. We will not be coming back to this establishment, ever.

    My husband and I booked a reservation for 9:30PM on New Year’s Eve. We anticipated that it would be busy, but when we arrived, we were told that the restaurant was 35 minutes behind schedule. We waited at the bar and were seated at 10:05PM. Once seated, our drinks took 45 minutes to receive, and our food took over an hour to receive. We did not begin eating until 11:50PM. We did not receive refills on drinks (alcoholic or soda) and ended up taking our meals and dessert home because the restaurant was closing, and we had been there for 4 hours. Our server did the best that he could, but was visibly overwhelmed. The service issues do not fall back on him at all whatsoever. This was our favorite steakhouse in Cincinnati, over Jeff Ruby’s and Capital Grille, but after the service last night, we unfortunately will not return until industry issues are corrected. As someone who worked in restaurants and understand their functions, this was unacceptable. I hope the restaurant makes needed changes to avoid losing other loyal customers!

    The ABSOLUTE WORST!! We were there for our 25th wedding anniversary. Reservation was made months in advance for 7:30 pm. Finally seated at 8:20 after observing people who had arrived AFTER us being seated! The restaurant was very cold. I ordered an appetizer, soup and entree. The waitress brought the soup first because the crab cake was going to “take longer”. My husband and I had had about three spoons of soup when the crab cake arrived! Along with the dessert menu so we could go on and order because some of the offerings take a few minutes. We had asked for bread from the time we were seated and after the fourth request it showed up with the entree. I ordered a filet minion Oscar style. If it weren’t so tragic, it would have been funny. The manager delivered the entrees with s warning about the VERY hot plates!! The plates were stone cold, as was the food!! A $300 New Year’s Eve/25th Anniversary disaster!! I’ve had better experiences at McDonalds! Just because it’s a holiday and YOU overbooked your restaurant is NO excuse!!!

    This was a disaster compared to other visits. Their food was good but the service was slow and disorganized. It took 30 minutes to be seated after we showed up 10 minutes early for our reservation. Another 10 minutes before we were asked if we wanted drinks, water and what kind. It took another 15 minutes before we were given menus. Thought things were moving but after finishing salads it was another 20 minutes before one entree was served. A few minutes later the other entree and the sides showed up. So it was "Go ahead and eat. Don't wait for me as your dinner will get cold." Food was good except for one steak (a ribeye) that was taking a bath in its own juices. A couple at the next table gave up and left after drinks and bread. The remains sat out for the next hour. When the staff finally did get to clearing the table it was a floor show. Several different staff including our waiter were involved in clearing piece by piece. One would show up, then the next and the next. Then the host came out to place a table cloth and position the candle. One place setting was put out. A plate was brought out for the second place. Then someone else showed up with a napkin and flatware. One glass was brought to the table. One last visit was for a second set of glasses for both place settings. Since our waiter wasn't taking care of us he was one of those helping to bus tables. More fussy stuff: Prongs on two of the forks were bent at odd angles. We were given wine glasses for our water. Bread plates were on the right? Each place had one knife to use for bread, butter, and then cut your steak. We were seated in the far side section that has a muted decor. No mirrors or chandeliers like the main area. Basically a blacked out room with no ambiance. At least there were windows to see the building under construction across the street. Lastly, the bathroom garbage cans were overflowing so the floor was getting covered in paper towels.

    Ordinarily this would be a perfect 5 star rating, but with the short staffing issues it made what should’ve been a two hour evening almost 4 hours. There was a lot of confusion between the waiters and the kitchen. It was difficult to keep drinks filled, food delivered to incorrect tables and cold once you did get your dinner. Like everyone else struggling to hire, I hope they can get staffing to keep up the volume of people who go to places like this for special occasions.

    Our waiter was generally attentive; however, we waited a long time between meal courses. Steaks and baked potatoes were undercooked. As I scanned the dinning room, it appeared that others were waiting extended times for their meals as well.

    Steaks cooked perfectly. Creamed Spinach & mashed potatoes delicious. Chopped salad very good too. The chopped salad and sides are large .. so recommend splitting. Wine & cocktails overpriced….everywhere!

    Very busy and loud. We ordered the Au gratin potatoes as a side and they were undercooked. Half of the potatoes were still raw. The kitchen was definitely rushing on getting orders out. Our server didn’t check on us after the food came and I was out of water for the entire meal.

    Food was good but overpriced…presentation was definitely lacking…service was uneven but waitress was very nice and welcoming …we were given a very unstable dining table…why give it to customers ( we were not the first complaining about that table) when you know the whole dinner could fly out?…thankfully we were given a different table …lack of maintenance…

    Morton's not quite where they were pre-covid in terms of food quality, preparation and service, but then again they really have raised their prices. All in all, a fair tradeoff. Wine prices a little high, but you can find a decent value if you look long enough.

    We ordered Sea bass, button mushrooms (very salty) mashed potatoes (very salty, the manager said they had white pepper in them that’s what made them salty, that made no sense). The food was awful. A bottle of La Marca Processo that retails for $17. A bottle at Morton’s is $67. Outrageous!

    Music was way to loud as could not have conversation with our party of 6 sitting at round table. Ask server to request it be turned down which he agreed it was too loud. It did get toned a bit but still too loud

    We went Xmas day . There was no heat so ate with our coats on . I could handle that but service was below what was expected and usual for Morton’s . Food was not hot. Not offered a free dessert for the table or anything for the poor experience. We spent $450 and it should have been much better than this . It’s back to Carlos and johnnys for us. Even when we called and expressed our dissatisfaction, the manager responded that the server was probably not very congenial because she was cold too. Very very disappointed …..

    The restaurant was so cold that most everyone there was wearing a coat. The place doesn’t look like it was updated since the seventies. Overall confirming my opinion that Cincinnati is not only on the downswing but that it has died and morphed into Dayton.

    Enjoyed Christmas Eve with the family. Our meal was wonderful with incredible fresh selections from the seafood raw bar, great steaks, salads and sides. There was a wait of about a half hour from our reservation due to all the bookings. It was a busy holiday night for the wait staff and kitchen so we understood and were thankful to have reservations for such a big night. With low temperatures around zero degrees, I’d recommend keeping the entrance doors shut back being propped open by the valet. With the absence of a vestibule very Cold air made the bar extremely chilly, and restaurant cold for the evening we were there.

    Disappointed in our experience. We spent hundreds of dollars on a Christmas Eve dinner and considering Morton’s is a high end restaurant, the service from beginning to end was terrible. We had to wait 39 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Once seated it took another 40 minutes to get our drinks and saw our server only 3 times in the 3 hours we were there. If we could’ve located a manager we would have complained. Extremely disappointing- especially after spending almost $500 for 4 people. Will never go again.

    Let's start off with the good, our waitress did a good job, and the food was on par with our previous visits to Mortons. Thats where the good of the evening expired. The restaurant was freezing cold. Maybe at best 58°. All patrons were eating in their winter coats. Some wore gloves. I took my coat off for my daughter to cover her legs. My wife thankfully wore a long wool coat, but all in all we all suffered through the visit. They should have closed, the miserable cold, and the ignorance of others standing at the entrance holding the door open!!! You could literally see your breath as you tried to eat. My wife enjoys a Moscato when we go out and were told they've been out for over 2 weeks, in a service capacity my thinking I'd not wait on a truck, when I could go to Jungle Jim's and buy a case directly. Mortons has raised their prices quite a bit. Now I am okay with dropping $350 for a meal, but at $350, or more you're not really paying for the food, more the experience. And it sucked!!!! Not due to food or servers but sheer poor environment. And the poor staff having to be in there working in those temperatures. And my final nail in the coffin. Valet service, which I didn't use, was a total train wreck. They were holding the door open to the restaurant, granted for customers, but da.n guys it was 3°, and leaving the door open freezing my wife and daughter out who were waiting on me to get the car around to get them, which I couldn't get to the door because they had the cars stacked up 2 deep all the way down the block. The entire vist was just a horrible experience and we will not be back due to the overall lack of concern for the customers, and on Christmas Eve... Had I known it was going to be so bad, I'd just have gone to outback or some other mediocre place and had a better experience at less than a third of the cost.
