Amazing experience

Before dining at Morton's, I had read reviews online from professional critics and average Joe's alike to get an idea of what to expect. A general theme of "exceptional service" and "outstanding food" seemed to prevail. I'd also read (and expected) a place like Morton's to be expensive, so the prices I encountered were not a surprise.

However, when you are expected to pay $63 for a 22oz bone-in rib-eye, which was also a la carte, everything about the meat should be truly exceptional. It should be able to stand on its own as the crown jewel, especially a cut like the rib-eye. I should finish my steak wanting and wishing for me, but feeling satisfied at the same time. While there was nothing wrong with the meat, per say, it did not leave me feeling satisfied in the way I had hoped or expected. I have had $25 bone-in rib-eye steaks from Longhorn and Outback, which are usually just pretty good. But for that price, you get what you pay for. I had hoped that by taking my fiance out to a much nicer establishment, we would experience the benefits. Instead, everything about our experience was relatively average, but I ended up paying top dollar for it.

This is by far our favorite restaurant in the Boston area...amazing food, great service...perfect for a special occasion.

It's hard to imagine a better setup: a superb restaurant within walking distance of Boston's main convention center AND its World Trade building. Sporting the tastefully modern decor of the remodeled Mortons, this one does hospitality right from the moment you step through the door. Great wine list, amazing appetizers and desserts, and of course entrees that should delight any palate. Truly a joy any time my travels bring me here.

Easter lunch

Recently went to Mortons to celebrate an anniversary and it was excellent! The ribeye is a solid choice, cooked perfectly and surprisingly just as tender as the filet mignon. We were also offered a free dessert for the occasion, warm gooey chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, which was fantastic!

It was a very enjoyable evening.

We celebrated our son's 21st Birthday and we couldn't have been happier. The staff was great, server was very knowledgeable, food was excellent and I can't wait to go back.
The best steak I have ever had!

We had a wonderful dinner just like we had last time we were there.

My wife and I enjoyed our 23rd anniversary dinner at Morton's The Steakhouse and it lined up with Dine Out Boston, so we were able to enjoy the special value menu for the night. My wife ordered the 6 oz. filet mignon, which was very well prepared and truly a delicious steak. I ordered the pork chops, which were also very succulent. Sides included the sour cream mashed potatoes for her and the au-gratin potatoes for myself. The meal ended with the molten hot chocolate cake (my wife's favorite part of the meal) and the chocolate mousse cake for myself. The one (slight) negative of the evening was the Morton's salad for my wife - it looked like the Caesar dressing but with blue cheese dressing, which, to us, was not that great. Otherwise, we highly recommend Morton's for a nice anniversary dinner or just to go out for the evening. Morton's is located in the beautiful Seaport District of Boston.

Great restaurant. Came during dine out boston and the food was excellent. Came hungry and left full unlike other restaurants on dineout boston. Would definitely come back. The only thing somewhat lacking was the service was somewhat slow because the restaurant was packed.

Excellent dinner, very very loud. Great service, would have like to see servers move loud parties out faster, too much focus over serving frat guys out with their wives.

I made a note that it was our anniversary. The staff greeted us with “happy anniversary” your hospitality was outstanding. It was a great touch sending menu’s to us with Happy Anniversary written on them and having our picture taken. Thank you so much. We will be back!

What a Birthday!

Thank you so much to Morton’s for making one memorable birthday dinner. From the minute we walked in the door until we left - everything was so special. And kudos to our server, Danielle , for making the night even better. The food, the service, the ambiance- it will be very hard to beat. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Food & service was amazing

Always excellent, attentive service. All of us had the Restaurant Week Chicken Christopher and it was delicious as always. I upgraded to grilled asparagus drizzled with balsamic vinegar, however, the balsamic was on the side and the asparagus was apparently marinated in the vinegar and tasted so bitter and unedible, which was a first for me so needless to say they took it off the bill. My friends tried it too and none of us could eat it. Weird as I've had plenty of times before and it was always just grilled and not marinated. Wine, dessert and salad were all excellent!

I was pleasantly surprised how good everything was at Morton's. Soup was decent, but next time I may order a salad. The chicken Christopher was moist and very delicious (nicely seasoned). The key lime pie was an ample portion and could easily feed two. Service was good and came at the right time.

Waited a bit to be seated despite having a reservation and the restaurant wasn’t busy. Several staff members walked by and did not acknowledge us. Server made the experience 5 star, Italian gentleman, Nunzio. I would come back just to sit in his area.

The food was great and the service was amazing. Our server Melinda was excellent very attentive and always checked in on us. I wish the lobster bisque had more lobster, but it was delicious. The overall experience at Morton's was great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Melinda is the BEST! Superb dining experience! Cold Shellfish platter, Rack of Lamb, Lobster Mac & cheese, chocolate souffle! Who could ask for anything more!

From the moment we walked in the door the staff was amazing. We were greeted with a wish for a Happy Anniversary from everyone that spoke to us. Even our menu was customized to say it. The food was amazing. Our server Danielle was fantastic and we wanted for nothing. I highly recommend Morton's for a special occasion or any meal.

Morton’s always has great food and great service, and this was no exception.

The reason why I rated service only "good" because two out of the four lunches came out wrong. Other than that our server made up for it by being a good host.

As usual, everything was delicious and the staff was wonderful. We continue to go here for all of our special occasions.

Great food. Our waitstaff was fantastic as usual. We love the booths that we always get as it blocks out some noise as my significant other is hearing impaired and the surrounding chatter makes it difficult for her to hear clearly.

Early Sunday dinner, 5:30 reservation. Restaurant was quiet on arrival but got busy as the evening went on.

Great food and service as always, waitstaff attentive but not intrusive. Everything was prepared as requested and everything was excellent.
