Iwe have been there several times. This week will be the last. It was our anniversary and they must have forgotten. Nothing special was done for us. I told them and then they gave us a free dessert. Not good enough. My husband didn't even want me to say anything. Besides that my steak was a little chewey. Had to take very small bites to be able to swallow it. Going back to Capital Grill. They know how to celebrate a special occasion the right way.
You can always count on Morton’s for good food and ambiance. The service was terrific too! They had a couple of nicely priced specials. I had filet & lobster tail for $56. Nice size portions. Definitely a good value. And it was delicious. My companion had the sea bass, recommended by the waiter, and she said it was also great. All in all a good experience.
Was getting dizzy watching the staff running through the Resturant, service was fair the food was good . The table next to us got a complementary after dinner drink and we heard it all , we were offered nothing. If it went unnoticed we wouldn’t have felt slighted. Paying the bill with an open table gift card took an extra 20 minutes because of policy. The baked potato was $13.00 - kinda of scary.Not sure if this would be the best choice to return when there are many choices that can offer better hospitality. Boca Raton location was sparse with customers after 8.30 pm on a Saturday night if your looking for quiet time.
This is the first time out of our many many visits to Morton’s that I was disappointed, hence not a 5 Star review.
I ordered my filet medium rare. When I cut into it, it was gray. I tried to eat a piece and it was too dry to chew. When I called our waitress over, she had the audacity to tell me it was just the outside and not the inside. She told me to cut into the center. When one of my friends said look at ours; the outer slices aren’t gray like hers, she did take it away.
The MaitreD, Hector, did bring me a new steak, plopped it on the table, and left. He never asked if this was done the way I liked it. They never asked, nor brought, fresher mashed potatoes, as by then the potatoes and the broccoli were ice cold. It would have cost them nothing to replace either, or both.
I am a Landry’s card holder, a frequent patron, and am very disappointed.
The food and service at this Morton’s location is greatly diminished from it once was. Celebrated our anniversary with my mother in law while we were down visiting. Our experience did not start off great when the Bombay Sapphire gimlet order came as a martini with a lime slice. When I confirmed what I ordered I was told that is how they made gimlets and the waiter brought me more limes to squeeze in. When I received the check it was then I realized he ordered me a martini with lime. Next issue was being oversold on their specials. I ordered the bone in filet which was good, but with the same amount of meat as the 6 once ordered by my mother in law for $20 more. The only consolation was they comped is for desert. However the waiter never asked if we wanted coffee or tea after the meal. With so many steak options in Boca we’re off to Abe & Louie’s or N.Y. Prime during our next visit.
It was my birthday and the entire staff acknowledged it. They even printed menus with my name at the top! Very classy and the food was delicious. Wait staff attentive without being obtrusive. Worth the price! The filet could be cut with a fork and the seafood was fresh
We selected the restaurant from the flavor palm beach website. They were supposed to have a prix Fixe menu for the palm beach special restaurant program. We booked they their site on open table. After sitting down we were informed they were no longer participating. So embarrassing as we invited two other couples after sending them the link. Food was fair at best. Better steak houses in town for sure. Felt like a bait and switch.
The shrimp cocktail had no flavor, my filet was over cooked and the asparagus was luke warm. My sister's French onion soup had no flavor, she actually sent it back. She ordered the morton's salad and said it was very good. Her NY strip was undercooked and the potatoes were delicious. For dessert we ordered the lava cake sundae. Very tasty. Our server Chelsie was very nice and had a pleasant personality. Hopefully, this was an off night for the Chefs. For the money I probably won't go back.
I was with my wife and another couple to celebrate my birthday. We would usually go to another restaurant nearby for celebrations but wanted to try something different.
I had not been to Morton's for over 9 years and immediately noticed its renovation.
We were greeted very warmly and seated promptly when our party was ready.
They had a birthday menu printed for me and the hostess took birthday fotos.
The waiter Alex was great, took our drink orders , recited the specials and answered all of our questions regarding ingredients (my wife has many allergies).
Service was great and the food was prepared wonderfully. The only exception was the bread brought for the table was onion bread which I found delicious but others would not eat because of the onions. They do not have an alternative. Also my wife had ordered the chocolate soufflé and thought it tasted strange. Their carrot cake and bread pudding were exceptional.
One of my guests is an excellent Chef and commented that he could not make a steak as good as the one he was eating.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely return for another special occasion.
Going to Morton's has often been our restaurant for special occasions. It can be a bit pricey but we have never had a disappointing meal. It is an upscale steak house, with a menu to match as well as a considerable wine list. In this case, we were going for their Lobster special, usually held twice a season. I had a perfectly prepared 2 pound lobster that lived up to its promise, fresh, tastey and cooked perfectly. My wife had their short ribs and was also very flattering. The level of noise was within reason considering that there were a full crown on a Friday night. I recommend Morton' in Boca Raton to steak lovers and others who enjoy a good meal.
Dinner and service was prompt and excellent.
Had summer menu items which was a lighter fare and enjoyed it very much
Decor and lighting has changed, making it darker in main dining room.
New 3 percent surcharge for miscellaneous and inflationary expenses were also something new,
That I don't think will be appreciated by the clientele
Food and service was very good as always. However, the restaurant added on a "surcharge" to the bill. When we asked about it the manager came over and said it was due because of waitstaff pay and for location. He stated restaurants are doing this now -- which is not true as many other restaurants at this shopping strip we eat at do not add a surcharge and are upscale as well. It's disappointing that a steakhouse like this would add a surcharge for this reason
