Had an awesome dinner at Morton’s. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Wasn’t crazy about the Brussels sprouts so they took it off the bill!! What an awesome thing to do!! Service was excellent!! Highly recommended!!!
We've been coming to this Mortons since it first opened and have always loved it but it seems to have slipped a bit. I feel like it's so expensive that everything should be absolutely perfect and it really wasn't. Our waiter was good but seemed a bit distracted and while the food was very good, it wasn't amazing. At this price point, there are better steak houses in town.
Had six of us there on a Sunday night so not real packed I expect it gets louder like most steakhouses do. I know we were loud. Been a long time since I was at Mortons been going to RC but that is going to change, very good food and service was great. The porterhouse for two was just perfect. Carol had the Sea Bass which she said was wonderful. Everything down to the dessert was great.
Great food and service !
Absolutely phenomenal from the food to the service !
Morton’s was great in Bethesda. As it normally is everywhere. Server was amazing and took excellent care of us. Food was exceptional. Wine even better.
Service is always excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection and had excellent flavor. Our server Bobby was very knowledgeable and friendly. They always treat us very well at Mortons
Wonderful as usual!!
Morton's is a first class steakhouse. We were seated in a large spacious dining area, very promptly given menus and soon after our orders were taken. The chopped house salad was excellent. The bread was very good -- really a special treat. I believe it was called onion egg bread. It was served piping hot and was delicious. We each had the filet mignon -- and it was perfectly prepared. The side order of creamed spinach was delicious. We ordered wine by the glass. The pricing of the wine was, I am sorry to say, very unreasonable. So, I ordered a glass of Drama Red Blend @ $17 per glass. A bottle of this wine at retail is $9.99! My wife had a Rose (Lisa Vanderpump) @$14 per glass, and that wine was about $14 at retail! The wine pricing is the sole criticism I have of what otherwise was an excellent dinner. For dessert we split a NY cheesecake. It was incredible, OMG good. It had a terrific fruit garnish and a creme brulee like topping. Yummy! Dinner was about $125 per person (including taxes and gratuity). Pricey, but (aside from the wine by the glass) it was a good value considering the ratio of price to quality.
Overpriced food and small portion of surf and turf. Vegetarian plate was very large but Almost no choices for a vegetarian to eat. Service was excellent. Chocolate mousse was overbeaten and grainy.
Once again, a perfect experience. Came in for one of the specials, and it was awesome
Pleasant quiet corner table
Somewhat dull looking room
Great food well prepared
Wonderful visit with two other couples. From the warm greeting by Todd, the manager, and Raphael our server to the presentation of the options on the menu it was a wonderful evening. The food made it even more special. There was a Labor Day special available, the choices of which were outstanding. We all left with some leftovers which we enjoyed yesterday.
We have always enjoyed Morton's and will return.
The food was delicious and service provided by Greg was beyond excellent.
Love the the newly renovated space! Our server, Gregory, is a consummate professional and makes use feel st home whenever we come.
We shared our experience with my sister, Virginia Brockett of Columbia, Maryland and she and her husband of 60 years went to your Baltimore site for dinner Saturday evening and had a great experience. We both have eaten great meals at great places at home and abroad The Steakhouse meals were second to none.
Staff really makes you feel special by providing absolutely fantastic service!
Five of us went here for restaurant week. Everyone thought their three course meal was delicious. We had great service from our waitress Mimi.
The original intend was to have the 2lb lobster special and a couple of drinks for dinner. Started with the beefsteak tomato and bleu cheese to start and it was awesome. Fresh and tasty. During this time, the water glasses stayed empty and I keep asking the waiter for a fork, more water, can we order drinks? The waiter finally did tell us the specials which included a NY strip steak medley (kobi, organic and usda certified). Created our own surf and turf with the steak and lobsters.
The waiter never told us which steak was which.
Waited 10 minutes for lobster deconstruction tools.
Drinks were empty and no one asked if we wanted more.
Terrible service but great food.
Skipped my favorite chocolate dessert because we had had enough. 10% tip. Went to Kramer’s in DuPont circle for dessert.
The service was excellent and food exceptional. I highly recommend Morton's.
restaurant week hence good value. our filet was perfectly prepared.
The food at Morton's is consistently good. We went during Restaurant week, and the value was outstanding. My only negative comment was that with all the fine food and attentive service, the silverware on the table was rather sparse. No one's table set with butter knives for the always served loaf of bread, spreading butter defaults to the provided steak knife. And for dessert - one spoon per person - so my dessert spoon had to do double duty between savoring my cool chocolate mousse and stirring my hot coffee.
The food was good but my whiskey sour was not up to the usual standards of Morton’s. I always ask for 1.5 shots of your house whiskey but each time I did not get that. With that said the whiskey sour was better than most other restaurants.
Enjoyed the 2 lb lobster special - always a treat! Service and atmosphere all perfect.
Went for restaurant week. Had to ask for the restaurant week menu. Food was very good and a great value during restaurant week. Service was a bit rushed with each course coming immediately after the previous course.
We enjoyed the value of the Restaurant week specials. Our party of three enjoyed onion soup, lobster bisque ($3 up-charge) and Morton’s salad, followed by two 6oz filets and salmon. Desert included double chocolate mouse, key lime pie and the hot chocolate cake ($6 up charge, but worth it!)
Service was great.
You had to ask for the Restaurant Week Menu, so if you didn’t know about it was not brought to your attention. I was asked what sauce I would like with my steak and was then charged extra for it. You are not charged extra on the regular menu. Not a great Restaurant Week experience with them.
My wife and I took two friends for a social dinner evening. Morton's offered three different prix fixe menus for our meal. Everyone found a great solution. The food was excellent, paired with two great wines. The service and overall experience were top notch. We will return.
Amazing food! Best steak I’ve ever had!
The steak was superb and the service terrific. I enjoyed the side dishes as well. I would definitely recommend this venue for special occasions because the prices are steep.
We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and had a great dinner. Everything was delicious!
Food & service was good, but over priced.
Kitchen quality failure ! Very uncharacteristic evening at our favorite steakhouse. Burnt hash browns (black), remake is as not brought out because the waiter saw that the kitchen burnt them again. Filet was thin (about 1/2 an inch) and had no char on it (I’ve probably had filet here over 100 times). Looked more like a fast casual restaurant’s filet. The server and manager said it was definitely not butterflied. We left without eating dinner, turned down dessert. Total disappointment.
I really didn't like my meal. I ordered a Caesars Salad which it just tasted as lettuce with mayonnaise, I ordered a rib eye medium well (very well cooked) oscar Style, no flavor at all. Not a good experience for me. So I would never recommend Morton's.
We had a great time during our recent visit to Morton's in Bethesda. The food, service and ambiance was great. The Steak&Seafood deal was also great. We received more than enough food and couln't finish it all which meant we had enough for lunch for the next day. Will return and recommend to others. I also appreciate being a Landry Club member.
We were seated in the booth immediately in front of the kitchen and after about 20 minutes the noise level increased to a level that we could not hear each other when we spoke. Brought the situation to the attention of our waiter and within a minute the waiter and other staff moved us to another table. This was accomplished with great professionalism and even now, days later, I am in awe of the skill exhibited. Oh, went for the lobster special and it was very good. Our waiter, Steve, is a true professional. Congratulations all around.
The manager, Todd, and his staff always makes my wife & I feel welcome...Our server, GG, was outstanding!
I swore off Morton’s about a year ago. I was a regular diner there. We had terrible service there one night and the meals came out incorrectly. I spoke with the manager and he had us come out again for dinner on them. Everything was good that time but still switched to Ruth’s Chris. Being Father’s Day we asked where my in-laws wanted to eat and he chose Morton’s. Well I once again remember why we do not dine there anymore. The service was absolutely horrible and they were empty for the most part. Our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes at a time and drinks were ordered and never delivered. The appetizer was not as asked for and one of the steaks was not served correctly. I can spend 700.00 for dinner a lot of places and Morton’s is not one of them again.
