Great service, but food was mixed. Steaks were excellent. We had two appetizers: the tuna tacos were just ok, but the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was great. The beet salad was so so to me, but my wife liked it , and the sea bass was excellent. Dessert soufflé was disappointing, though.
Sam, the GM, during dessert asked if anything could have been better. We told him, “No, everything’s perfect (i.e., the filet, NY strip, horseradish mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, onion soup, house chopped salad, Grand Marnier and raspberry soufflés, wine, and onion loaf of bread).
The next day I thought again about the meal. I’ve frequently eaten at Morton’s restaurants since 2001. This one, since it’s closest to where I live, and in five states for business and pleasure. This meal was the best I can recall—the textures and flavors; pacing and presentation; the service as well as management ensuring a great dining experience; and the wine service. I asked my date if anything during the dinner could be improved upon. She reflected and said, “No. Every serving and the wine was perfect.”
Sam, who is also a sommelier, provided superb insight and advice after two Malbecs disappointed. The wine we selected perfectly complemented the meal.
We enjoyed our date night with all of our favorite people. We look forward to our annual New Years Celebration with 2 grandkids, plus my 70 Birthday! We always have a good time. Thanks Morton’s General Manager Sam Sara and Executive Chef MJ for making our visit special. Danny and Elaine Moffett
My last Saturday experience with Morton steak house was the worst I have ever expected or experienced. First of all, my family and I sat at the table for 1 hour before the appetizer arrived. The chefs and waiters were overworked. My dad's salmon was boggy as if it was left over the ice for a long time and water went in. My brother was given minty jelly for his lamp chop. That jelly tasted just like toothpaste. When we complained about that at the end of the meal, one of the waiters gave us bull sh't answer that it might be due to mojito he was drinking. We initially planned to have desert but we decided to leave because we were so disappointed. I had been there before but one bad experience is enough for me.
We have always been happy with Morton’s. This was my wife’s birthday dinner date. Tyler was our server, Patrick was The Asst Manager in charge, everything was just right. Can’t wait for my Birthday in December and our annual Family New Years Eve Celebration. Sorry we have missed General Manager Sam Sara last few times, always a pleasure.
My Husband and I really had an amazing date night here! Our Waiter was Mustafa and he was extremely knowledgeable about the wine and cocktails menu. As well as the dinner and desserts menu. I got a lemon drop & my Husband got a seasonal cocktail, the St. Tropez. Let me just say, Morton's bartenders are not skimpy with the alcohol. Our drinks were superb! For dinner, we both went with a seasonal menu item which was the 14oz bone in filet (Oscar style: lump crab meat in bearnaise sauce atop) and my God it was delicious! I mean melt in your mouth tender. We chose the creamed corn and sour cream mashed potatoes for our sharable sides. We couldn't believe how well our steaks were seasoned. And have I mentioned tender yet?! LOL. I finished off with bread pudding for dessert which I had to take the majority of it home. (Being greedy ordering it in the 1st place if I'm honest) Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to an outstanding dining experience at Morton's Baltimore, you will not be disappointed. We will certainly be back, well worth the money! 😍🤗
I was VERY disappointed in the food. The shrimp cocktail was over cooked. The steaks were supposed to come medium rare and one was rare.
The au gratin potatoes were very thick rather than thinly sliced, very little crisp on top.
I won't be visiting this location again.
Rachel was our server, she was excellent. Very well versed in the menu items, shared a couple of her favorites which we tired and was very impressed. Made us aware if their signature manhattan drink, which we were not made aware of until she informed us of the drink. It was delicious!!! Food, ambience and other staff members enchanced the great service that started with Rachel and turned a great meal into a terrific dining experience. We will ask for Rachel when we return!!
Everything was very good as usual. We have always had great experiences at Mortons. Our Server Kristyn is without an equal. Asst General Patrick McCormick treats us as King and Queen, without a doubt such a professional. Thank You Mortons for another great night.
We were meeting family in Baltimore for the weekend and discovered that it just happened to be Restaurant Week, so it was a great opportunity to check out a steak house we have been wanting to try. We were not disappointed. Our meal was wonderful and the wine we chose to go with our meal was perfect!!! We are looking forward to eating there again soon!!!
Thankfully I came for restaurant week because I was very disappointed. The service was great, but my main course was very bland. I got the salmon and unfortunately it just wasn't good. However, the bread, salad and dessert were good. So maybe it's just that they aren't great for salmon. I know it's a steak restaurant but I still figured the salmon would be decent.
It was restaurant week and I invited a friend to dine who had never been to Mortons. I had dined there before and loved the food and service . My friend loved the entire experience . The service b food was excellent . Portions for restaurant week were very filling and the same quality you get on any day at Mortons. We had a fantastic evening. Can't wait to go again.
