Morton's The Steakhouse - Baltimore
Book your next event with us
Morton's Steakhouse takes you back in time to a high end restaurant, jazz playing in the background, fine dining, steak that melts in your mouth and spot on service that we haven't experienced in a long time. Demetrius was an outstanding waiter, very attentive to all of our needs and took the time to go over the menu with us. Seriously the best steak my husband has had in a long time. It was perfect!
Very fine and sophisticated!
I have eaten (dined for the more gifted writers) at a lot of restaurants in Baltimore and Morton's is a new found treasure. I've seen a number of reviews both good and bad, but our experience was absolutely great from the get go. Valet parking - extremely easy and the ladies out front on Saturday (13 April) started the evening off perfectly as they were nice and helpful. The atmosphere (ambience) was dark enough to be pleasant but no so dark as to not being able to see your significant other or the food. The piped-in jazz music was at the perfect volume which enhanced the club-type feeling. Amy, our waitress, was both knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. True to her word the sides were enough for two people. The steaks, my fiancee ordered the 6 oz filet while I ordered the 8 oz filet, were perfectly done as we both ordered them medium. The plating and presentation were exemplary although it is difficult to screw up a steak on a plate and our two sides of sour cream mashed potatoes and creamed corn would be just as difficult to turn into some sort of artwork. It really didn't matter as everything tasted absolutely wonderful. We didn't order an appetizer as I really wanted to try one of Morton's desserts and we didn't want to be over full before going to the show at the Hippodrome. The carrot cake was more than enough for two people and was moist and delicious. Maybe it was because we got there early (first ones in the restaurant) and it really wasn't busy or all the stars aligned. All I know is that Morton's The Steakhouse replaced Ruth's Chris Steak House as my new go to place in Baltimore.
Great place. Enjoyed the ambiance. Celebrating an birthday. Steak was awesome!!!
Absolutely a great experience. The service (Ken) was great; knowledgeable on recommendations and attentive but not intrusive. The filet melted in my mouth, and the bacon-wrapped scallops and escargot appetizers were equally delicious. This was a birthday celebration, and the restaurant kindly provided personalized birthday menus and a photograph in a nice folder of the event. Definitely recommend whether for special occasion or not.
I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed in my experience. When I came in I told them it was my husbands birthday and could I have a photo. We get this every.Birthday. They took a photo and it was very light’. We told the man at the door and he said he would darken it. When we were finished eating he brought us the photo. Our faces were soo light you couldn’t even see them. My burger was so greasy and fatty. I asked for medium well done. Came out rare..when we went to pay and use our points the bill was 76$.. they wanted to take 10O$ worth of points and give no change. Wouldn’t use 75$ and give us 25$ back.. nope! Can’t do that.. .. so for 76$ bill, pay with 100$ points and get nothing back. Doesn’t seem fair.. or just let us use 75$ and give us the 25$ Birthday points back.. anyway just disappointed..
My husband and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at Morton's. The food, ambiance, and staff were excellent! It all made our experience worth a trip back! Good job Morton's!
Everything was perfect until the end. Other tables that had come in after us were being cleared and offered desserts while we waited for our server to acknowledge us as she took care of a table right next to us. She was very friendly and professional and it was unfortunate that she dropped the ball towards the end. It made the experience awkward and uncomfortable, because she made us feel like she was purposely ignoring us. Management did a fine job trying to rectify the situation, but for what we paid it was not the fine dining experience we were expecting. Unfortunately we probably won’t be back.
It's truly refreshing to be recognized. We go to Morton's maybe 2 time a year for special occasions so to have a glimmer of recognition is so nice.
From the moment we were sat by Neal (very professional he also made our night with a funny joke!)
to our server Ken, all was lovely for my hubby's birthday.
We will return.....but not till next year :)
Always a great place to celebrate a special occasion!
A bit pricey
Wonderful food and wonderful staff and the Manager, Patrick, was beyond nice. Will be back very soon!
Since Landry's took over the Morton's brand, everything about this restaurant brand has gone downhill from the quality and portions of the food to the service. Being a long time Morton's VIP no longer means anything and I'm consistently disappointed in the experience. I've decided to finally cut the cord.
Great service! Excellent food & ambiance
A real steak house with a Capital S!!!
From the moment you enter until you have to leave, you are transported to an era that is hard to find anymore.
Elegant but friendly service.
Every detail noticed. Right down to the special Happy Birthday on the menu and complementary birthday photo.
And then there is the food.
Outstanding is the word.
Service was perfunctory. Prices were high and portions, small. Nothing more need be said.
Another excellent steak dinner here. Can’t really qualify it as a good “value” as it’s a high-end steakhouse. Pricey wine and food just like Ruth’s Chris, Prime Rib, etc. Definitely on par with any of these places. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. What is nice about Morton's is that you are not sitting on top of the people around you as in the Prime Rib or Capital Grill. Really a great rsteakhouse all around.
We hadn’t been to Morton’s in a while and went there for a recent Saturday night dinner. Our steaks were “perfection” on a plate. Totally enjoyed our dining experience!
I enjoyed the evening but at this price point I have to hold the restaurant to a higher level. The waiter was a lil pushy and rushed us to order. I would have liked to hear some more info on the selections and new items. I had to say I noticed something new and he just acknowledged it and did not elaborate. We had to ask for bread also. Someone should also check in with valet. They just sat there no one opened my wife's door it was just everyone for themselves as 4 cars pulled up
Everything was amazing at Morton’s. The only flaw if you can call it that was the wait staff was crazy busy so there were stretches were our table was forgotten about other than that it was a great meal and dining experience.
Food and Service was top notch!
My steak was cooked perfect but serving temperature could have been a little bit warmer
Server was great up til the food order. After the dinner order, she forgot about us
The food was absolutely fantastic
Very good food and excellent service. Very enjoyable time.
Service excellent BUT steak (Filet medium) was cold and had NO flavor. There is NO steak worth these prices! The worst part was we were there dinner at 6pm and they RAN OUT IF BAKED POTATOES!!!!!! How do you run out if baked potatoes at 6pm in the evening on a Saturday night? Given bread to start, must like onions or you are out of luck. I like onions and it was still not very good. Just not worth the money at all.
Amazing experience and excellent service! The staff was really helpful for this birthday celebration. The host even offered us a picture and put it into a special hand drawn frame. I will definitely be back.
Great steak and great appetizers. Cooked to order to your satisfaction. Very quiet and peaceful.
The food and staff where great. I went there for my birthday and received the best service. My server Moose was awesome and attentive. I met the manager and he asked did we needed anything. I cant wait to go back.
Came here for restaurant week. Our server EJ was nice. Our meal was mediocre however. The bread though soft was missing flavor. The Ceasar salad and lobster bisque was bland. The steak was average and the chicken Christopher was was a little short on flavor as well. Overall the experience was not worth the price. My recommendation is to put a little more work into the flavor especially for a restaurant with $$$ prices.
It had about a year since we had been to Mortons, but for $100 per person it has become not the quality one would expect.
We waited for a table about 20 minutes with a reservation, the server did not write down one of the person's soups so they were just waiting for it to come out. Order a bottle of wine which they apparently ran out of and the server did not say so and again just waiting. Food took too long to be served between courses and was salty.
There was a party going on with people going in and out of the party room next to our table throughout. It took a long tome for the valet to get our car. For the price it was not a high quality experience.
We had to wait 20 minutes with a reservation and were unable to order a bottle of champagne at the bar while we were waiting. The bartenders were slammed and did not notice us standing there waiting for service. Not the end of the works but we were there to celebrate.
The meal was delicious but we had to cancel an appetizer of grilled oysters which weren’t ready until our meals came. Our first bottle of wine requested was sold out but our second choice was great!
Overall a wonderful experience and fabulous deal for Restaurant week!
Great . Enjoyed it
Food was great. Service was mediocre, we had finished eating and our empty plates sat on the table for at least 20 minutes as we were watching other tables getting cleared immediately. Our waitress was not as attentive to our table of 6 as she was to smaller tables. We believe it was because the gratuity was included with our check and not the smaller tables.
Fantastic, always a fan of Morton’s.
Brendan was a great server. He knew how I wanted to be waited on and handled it to my high standards.
The bartender was also a great joy. I truly appreciated her. Though the steaks were over cooked, it was still a great meal.
Was my bday, I don’t understand why open table asking for the ocasión, because in the restaurant didn’t care about it, any detail anything.
This was a very nice dining experience. This was our first time at a Morton’s but certainly won’t be our last. I got the filet and my husband got the pork chop. Both were great and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were just okay but the hot chocolate cake was delicious! We’ll definitely go again.
Service was good. The mashed potatoes were dry and chunky. The filet was cold. The broccoli wasn’t presented well. This definitely wasn’t an experience that I’m used to here.
