Great atmosphere for my 37th wedding anniversary. Everything was delicious. The appetizers were awesome and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Topped off with a delicious piece of cheese cake. Thank you

My family and I celebrated a birthday at Morton's The Steakhouse- Arlington last weekend. Unfortunately I have to give this visit 1 star.
We arrived at the 6pm reservation on time and placed our orders within 30-45 minutes of arrival. Our entire table's food did not arrive to our table until 8:15pm.

From 6:30/6;45 until the time we received our food at 8:15pm, ZERO updates or communication was given on the status of our food. Also throughout our time at the table, empty cups and plates were not taken. We asked our server for a managers presence; a manager did not visit our table until 30-45 minutes. The manager (Ms. Haileyesus) was very snobby and acted completely oblivious as to our reason for requesting her presence. Once the food delay was mentioned, she indicated that a large party before us was the reason for the delay. Coincidently we knew the family in the large party who indicated their food was also very delayed as well. Outside of the "very large party" the restaurant had maybe two other tables occupied (this was also a Sunday night). No other reasons were given for the delay.

The manager offered no monetary compensation, only a free dessert for the birthday girl. We had to ask! The manager indicated she would give us 20% off of our bill which ended being $700! When the bill came, only 10% was taken off. The manager indicated she "called the owner" and only 10% was authorized.

Outside of the horrible service received, the food was great. The delay of the food would've been understandable if communicated but we never received a real reason the food was delayed. As a restaurant of this caliber, the service received is just unacceptable. No one wants to spend $700 and receive such horrible service.

I will not visit this Morton's again and I do not recommend this location.

Terrible experience! Not only did our food come at differing times during the dinner but three people received their meals when everyone else was already done! Service was slow, no attention paid to us the entire night. I wouldn’t return back ever. Go to other steakhouses for a better experience.

Food was as expected, very good. Service could improve on speed and caliber, mixed up steaks, food not coming out all at once , waiting long times for drinks ,nothing major. Reason for a 3 star rating is you can’t say that you have a dress code of “business casual” and let people roll in there looking any kind of way , sneakers, T-shirts , hoodies , ball caps. Cheapens the high-value ambience and leaves the patrons who do respect the dress code thinking it’s all a joke.
Point is standards should apply or else take the rules down. When you pay top dollar for a nice night out you don’t expect to be dining with people dressed like it’s a backyard barbecue.

One of the best places for an unhurried, exceptional meal. Filets, crab cake and pork chop dinners all cooked to perfection. Sides are large enough for 3-4 people to share. Staff is attentive and friendly, but not hovering. Their Manhattans and Sangrias are marvelous and generous enough to put other restaurants to shame.

I ordered the Prime NY Strip medium. It came out nearly raw (almost a bloody middle). To their credit they offered to reheat, however you shouldn’t have to at a fine restaurant. On a high note, The lobster bisque was fantastic.

The staff was SO friendly and warm. It was my husband’s birthday and they took a picture and handed us a card. They also offered us free desert of our choice. Staff was attentive, drinks and food came out fast.

Steak was cooked perfectly and the food as a whole was delicious!

The credit card machine went down and the manager told us that all of our credit cards got declined. We told her it didn’t make sense and asked her to re-run it. She wasn’t happy and asked if we can pay by cash. We told her no and she re-ran our cards again. It took a while before the waitress came back to our table with the credit transaction slips. Yes

Kitchen was behind on orders which caused 30 plus wait times for tables with reservations. The manager didn't have any urgency to fix the problem and didn't offer any customer a free beverage or dessert. Manager did not have any remorse or problem solving for the issues. I would love to try this restaurant again but the customer service and kitchen has to do better.

We had to wait a hour to be seated our reservation was at 545pm we did not get seated until 645pm. Having to complain to the from desk attendant she was not attentive to the main lobby the front of the house was over crowded. The reason was because they were over booked. I made my reservation a week in advance to then after getting seated to wait another 40 mins for food due to the kitchen being behind. It was my first time and I will not go back nor recommend this location to anyone. Total waste of money poor experience. My meat was supposed to be a prime steak I got filet mignon. The lobster Mac and cheese was not flavorful at all and I thought the lobster should have been all

Restaurant goers: Don’t eat at Morton’s Crystal City.

This is by far my worst dining experience in the Washington DC area. Honestly, you need to work hard to make it that bad.
This restaurant turned my family’s Mother’s Day lunch into a nightmare.

It started at the reception: 10 minutes before anyone acknowledges you are there; then another 10 minutes to get to your table.

But the best of the best is: Getting your food 2 hours after you ordered it, cold, and unappetizing.

They only had 12 tables open but every table got its food roughly 2 hours later.

I don’t understand how this restaurant is still in business. It’s a culinary catastrophe!

At the end, you get your bill and you pay premium price for a cold, mid level dish, after 2 hours of starvation.

I could have had a better experience, with a faster service, half of that price, and with no hassle.

One advice, Morton’s: Fire everyone of your kitchen and service crew, cut your price by 30 to 50 per cent, then you’ll see.

Terrible! I hate to even leave this message but my Mother’s Day was ruined. Not only for me, but for my sons who saved their money to take me there. Our reservation was at 5:15pm, we finally left at 8:00pm after waiting almost 3 hours for our food. Horrible experience. I’m a local, I will never come there again.

Had dinner on Mother’s Day. Made reservation for 5 pm, but didn’t get seated for another 20 min. We were waited on quickly, but once they brought out bread, we waited another hour before the main course arrived. The prime rib eye was cooked to my requested wellness, but it was extremely salty. The creamed spinach was not as tasty as I had hoped. My mother enjoyed the miso marinated sea bass. All in all, the dinner was good but not great. Considering the cost and the wait times, I would be inclined to go elsewhere for special occasions.

Reservations were for 4:30, so we arrived at 4:20. Host acted like she didn’t see us even though we greeted her when we entered. We sat at the bar because our table wasn’t ready and she didn’t know when we’d be seated at our table. Ordered food at 5:00, got food after 7:00. The manager comped us drinks but they were watered down (IMO)...I think she comped drinks for everyone that day. I told her I come to Morton’s for the experience and this experience was awful. Unless and until they get themselves together, i.e. properly managed cook team, hostess training, even managerial training, they are incapable of providing the experience you pay for. I was told they were just getting back to 75% capacity; if it took two hours to get food at 75% capacity, I don’t see them doing anything better when they get to 100% next month. It appears this restaurant is at its best when they are slow. I was there in March and less than half the restaurant was filled..,that was worth the experience. Mother’s Day was effectively ruined thanks to the mismanagement of the staff at Morton’s. I would not recommend Morton’s at this time.

Usually go into the District for superior location and service, but thought we’d try the ‘newly’ reopened store in Crystal City. 30 mins after reservation time we were seated. We were presented with two DIFFERENT menus, different prices & dishes, 45 min AFTER giving our order our 1st course arrived. Food prep was perfect! Store management and service was WAY under Morton’s standards! Go into the district, the extra transport time is well worth it!

Was greeted by a rude valet attendant and ended up parking myself because he made me so uncomfortable. It took almost an hour to be seated and the waitress didn’t come for another 30 minutes after. Most of the items on the menu we requested were out of stock. We also asked that no pork be in anything and we were given a side with pork. The overall experience just wasn’t a good one.

Had dinner for 4. Two meals came out fine, the other 2 meals (my wife's and mine) came out cold, both our steaks and our side dishes. We let the server know, the server took the 2 meals back to the kitchen, only to have the meals reheated. The meal was served back to us with the steaks tough and chewy and the lobster tail chewy and rubbery. We asked for the manager. We stated our concern to the manager. The manager offered to remove the 2 meals off of the bill, which he did, however out of the 4 having dinner that evening, only 2 left the restaurant having the satisfaction of having a full meal. My wife and I went home and ate leftovers for what was supposed to be my Mother's Day celebration for my wife and my mother. We concluded that the best part about that evening was having dinner with my mother who we've rarely seen due to the pandemic.

Book Early - Some Place Else

This was our second reservation at this Morton’s in the last couple of months. That reservation did not go well, with our having to wait over 30 minutes to get a table. With COVID continuing to play havoc with businesses, we thought a second visit was warranted - we were wrong.

Though we were seated quickly upon arrival, it quickly became apparent that the pace of our meal was to be more aligned with Denny’s than a leisurely celebratory birthday event; get us in and out as quickly as possible.

Our table was set with bread plates, but bread was not offered. My wife and I ordered steak meals, both medium rare. Mine was delivered with a baked potato, but the meat was well past medium and had to be sent back. I ate the potato, as I waited, as it would just get cold. My wife had finished by the time my entree finally arrived.

My wife ordered a pre-fixe meal, which included salad, entree, and dessert. We were changed al a carte prices, not the fixed price.

The cost of our meal was $255 (we had a decent $57 bottle of wine, though with such service, it did not go down well). A few years ago, we regularly visited this location. Something has changed (poor management, new employees, etc.). If you plan to spend a $100 per person on a meal (sans wine), you can certainly do better.

Seriously, go some place else.

Absolutely prefect from stay to finish. Nothing rushed so we are able to take our time when we wanted it from ordering drinks to food. Everything arrived at the table at the perfect time. Our waitress Michelle was great, and well versed in all the menus that helped us have an even more enjoyable evening. Perfect night for it celebration. We will definitely be back
