Morton's The Steakhouse - Anaheim Ratings and Reviews
It's easy to rack up a bill here. I expected to spend around $300 for a party of 6 and we spent almost exactly $500. The food is great, steaks are excellent, as are the mashed potatoes, hashed browns, and onion rings. The short rib taco appetizers are the greatest thing I've ever eaten. Due to the extremely high prices, we're aren't likely going to return for a few years. I suppose if they run a special promo or if they have a more affordable lunch menu, I may come back sooner. Totally broke the bank on this visit.
We have always hear Morton's was a premier steakhouse in the US but we have never been to one. We are Landry Club members, had a few gift cards so we thought we would try it out since it is very local for use. What an amazing restaurant. We had reservations for 5 people, were sat immediately and the awesome service began. Water and bread service was quick, our server was amazing and out food was served quickly, despite a packed house. The food orders ranged from steaks to fish and each order was cooked to perfection. Dessert was great too.
Great value for the service and food. Will be returning for sure.
Phillip, our waiter, was the best waiter we have ever had. Every recommendation was amazing and he was very attentive. He made our night so special and we will be coming back because of him! Great food only down side it was a little loud but we could still hold a good conversation
Great night and I highly recommend the tuna tower and lobster bisque!!
Our hostess was not very nice when we arrived. She informed us that we could only sit at a table and my husband is a broad guy that gets bumped all throughout dinner when we sit at these particular tables. We were finally sat in a booth after much ordeal but the managers moved around the restaurant aimlessly and we’re not engaging. The food is always overpriced as expected but that is expected. Music was way too loud and very club-ish. Not appropriate
My wife and I have made Morton’s our designated special occasion restaurant. The cuts of steak are second to none. And the staff is always very courteous. The accompaniments are perfect for sharing and always delicious. And I always recommend the fois-gras cognac butter wih your steak. To die for. As far as price goes...you get what you pay for. All in all...hands down one of my favorite restaurants.
I travel way too much for business. Eating alone is a given and I don't like sitting at the table for 1. I seek out fine bar dining wherever I am. I ordered off the bar menu and had the fillet with 3 sauces which was very tasty but the meat was a little under cooked, presentation excellent however by comparison to what get at other high end steak houses of similar stature, it was extremely small. The wedge salad bite salad was creative and a generous size (big compared to the meat). It was fantastic! I'd come back for this salad alone.
The bar area was very very loud. I had to shout to the bartenders for them to hear me. This restaurant is near the Anaheim Convention Center in the Anaheim Resort area and I guess it's not your typical "business" clientele, but Convention goers. I noticed ther were no Disney park looking attendees there if anyone is worried about kids running around.
This was a big disappointment. I chose the 24ox Porterhouse and it was tasteless and nowhere near as good as it should have been. The side we ordered of spinach was unnecessary as the main of Salmon came on a huge bed of spinach but our server didn't tell us that. We waited almost 40 minutes for our meal. And we were sat in a booth for up to 6 people with just two of us. All in a disappointment and I'm done with Morton's now after 2 disappointing meals in LA and San Diego. And the food doesn't equate to value in my opinion - it's way too expensive for a so so experience.
Morton’s pays close attention to the small details which go along way to making your dining experience feel special. The complimentary group photo and menus highlighting my son’s 18th birthday was a very nice touch. Our server was very attentive and managed the table very well to give us time to celebrate without ever getting lost when we needed her or when it came time to settle the check. She managed running 4 credit cards with various amounts flawlessly. The decor is very elegant and classy.
The place is so darkly lit, you can't see your food very well.
Service was OK. Food was disappointing; My medium rear ribeye was a bit tough. The lobster tail was overcooked and dry. The salads were served pretty well timely, but after that we waited a long, long time for our entrees. (45 -60 minutes) Not likely to return anytime soon.
