Morton's The Steakhouse - Anaheim Ratings and Reviews
I travel way too much for business. Eating alone is a given and I don't like sitting at the table for 1. I seek out fine bar dining wherever I am. I ordered off the bar menu and had the fillet with 3 sauces which was very tasty but the meat was a little under cooked, presentation excellent however by comparison to what get at other high end steak houses of similar stature, it was extremely small. The wedge salad bite salad was creative and a generous size (big compared to the meat). It was fantastic! I'd come back for this salad alone.
The bar area was very very loud. I had to shout to the bartenders for them to hear me. This restaurant is near the Anaheim Convention Center in the Anaheim Resort area and I guess it's not your typical "business" clientele, but Convention goers. I noticed ther were no Disney park looking attendees there if anyone is worried about kids running around.
This was a big disappointment. I chose the 24ox Porterhouse and it was tasteless and nowhere near as good as it should have been. The side we ordered of spinach was unnecessary as the main of Salmon came on a huge bed of spinach but our server didn't tell us that. We waited almost 40 minutes for our meal. And we were sat in a booth for up to 6 people with just two of us. All in a disappointment and I'm done with Morton's now after 2 disappointing meals in LA and San Diego. And the food doesn't equate to value in my opinion - it's way too expensive for a so so experience.
Morton’s pays close attention to the small details which go along way to making your dining experience feel special. The complimentary group photo and menus highlighting my son’s 18th birthday was a very nice touch. Our server was very attentive and managed the table very well to give us time to celebrate without ever getting lost when we needed her or when it came time to settle the check. She managed running 4 credit cards with various amounts flawlessly. The decor is very elegant and classy.
The place is so darkly lit, you can't see your food very well.
Service was OK. Food was disappointing; My medium rear ribeye was a bit tough. The lobster tail was overcooked and dry. The salads were served pretty well timely, but after that we waited a long, long time for our entrees. (45 -60 minutes) Not likely to return anytime soon.
Morton's food was absolutely delicious. From first bite to last you can't go wrong eating at Morton's. Food was cooked to perfection for both my husband and I. He had a Filet Mignon and I had a Lobster tail that just melted in my mouth.
Best food in a long time.
The food was outstanding, every course from the bread to the Crème brûlée. The service was excellent, our glasses were always full, the table was always clean and our courses were brought in a timely manner all with a smile and friendly conversation. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. I look forward to going back for another special occasion.
Poor service, not professional and constantly asking if were going to order when it was clear we were in the middle of a business conversation. Steaks delivered to table without any indication of whose was whose, nor any indication of done-ness. Mine was underdone and poor tasting. I don’t believe I will go to Motons again.
Unfortunately our two bone-in filets were grossly over seasoned making them inedible. I truly think several people in the kitchen unknowingly seasoned them several extra times. The server and manager offered to redo our steaks but after an extremely long day neither my husband nor I wished to wait for that to happen, plus, quite frankly, it was so bad I completely lost my appetite.
Taken a lot of effort to know what the guests are having for dinner..... Which steak is cooked to what doneness for who.... But the server just left it on the table without telling us which is which.... Ended up giving the wrong steak to the wrong person and we have to ask another to verify again.
Hubby and I went to celebrate our anniversary. While I wouldn't say this place is intimate, the special things they did for our celebration definitely made it a memorable evening. They brought out a lemon souffle, personalized our menu AND took a picture of us and framed it! AMAZING! Ive dined at many restaurants and I've never came across one that truly makes you feel special about your reason of dining. Food was superb. Everything we ordered was so, so good. Food was brought out in a timely manner. Our server was standard.
Amazing food! Definitely get what you pay for. When I say delicious, I mean it was impeccable. My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary there just this past Sunday (9/24/17) and we were just amazed at the flavor of everything we ate. Worth every penny!
