Morton's Grille - The Woodlands Ratings and Reviews
A little disappointing. Expect a bit more for Morton’s and the pice. Taking advantage of a promo meal offer and they were out of the salmon entree and the key lime dessert. Service was so so...5 people and they couldn’t didn’t deliver the entrees at the same time. Steaks slightly over cooked. Had to ask for bread. New York cheesecake had a weird texture to it. There are so many great steak places in the Woodlands at a similar price point, probably will not go back again despite the Landry’s Select Rewards.
It was our 8th anniversary and I didn’t know where I was going to take my wife for this special occasion. I’m used to taking my wife to The Aquarium in downtown Houston,The Aquarium at The Keemah Boardwalk,Landry’s Seafood and The Rainforest Cafe at the seawall in Galveston(to which my kids love going to, my kids are 3 and 5 and they can’t stop saying they want to go to The Rainforest). I found Morton’s through an email I received from Landry’s because Morton’s is one a the Landry’s family of restaurants. I didn’t think about it too much because I know how Landry’s has the best restaurants. Everything was very pleasant from beginning to end. We had the lobster tail with and steak with asparagus and everything tasted great. The staff was very attentive, made is feel very confortable and gave us a lot of attention. I would recommend Morton’s to everyone Who I know is looking for a special place for a special occasion.
All food the options were outstanding --- the crab cake appetizer was excellent and our steaks were cooked to perfection. It took awhile to get the bread brought to the table, as we had to ask the wait staff twice! Otherwise, the service was very good. The wine was reasonably priced --- as we've paid more for Duckhorn Merlot at other high end restaurants.
Morton’s advertising is deceptive. Steak and lobster deal said to be only good at steakhouse and not grill. Wait for steaks was excessive and noise level high. It is not a relaxing or quiet dinner. Food was ok but steak no better than Salt Grass where all sides are included. There are much better steak options in Woodlands.
Went there for New Years Eve, we were staying at the Marriott and it was a short walk away. Beautiful restaurant. My husband had a steak that he said was excellent. I had planned to order a salad and the edamame hummus, but the menu boasted "fresh pasta" and I couldn't resist. I got that with marinara (instead of the meat sauce) but it came out looking like it had been under a heat lamp for too long, and the sauce was terrible. Then I paid $11 for a few undercooked stalks of asparagus. I am mad at myself for not sticking with my original plan for food. But the ambiance was nice and the location very convenient.
The service was great. Food was far above average. The menu selection was varied enough that everyone was able to find things they liked. There was one special order and the staff was able to accommodate without question or concern. A great restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.
We booked a reservation for Morton's Grille for our 26th wedding anniversary. We had a great time and the food was excellent. We were running behind schedule but they called to check to see if we wanted them to hold our table. They did which was I thought very nice of them to do. It was worth it!!! They made it a special night. We were given a personalized souvenir menu that had our names on it. Our picture was taken and it was signed by the staff. We had a great table and the view was awesome. We were given a complimentary desert as well. The lady that served us was great. Thanks Morton's Grille for showing us a great time for our anniversary.
Honestly, I expected a better experience than what was given. Christmas Day dinner out solo, and no extra care was given to me by both the bar staff nor table stuff. Very bare bones. The meal itself was great. Truluck's still wins in the service category.
So this year I was lazy and didn't want to cook, so hello Arnie Morton's! Christmas Day (and other holidays) can now officially be a steak day. The staff and Manager (Joe) are always knowledgeable and always helpful to suggest a suitable dish for newcomers. Their help this time... adding a seat to our party at the last minute.
In the interest of open reviews, I am a regular at this venue and it has yet to disappoint, quality food and wine at an above average price point, but well worth it. When weather permits there is outside seating to enjoy a cocktail, while waiting if you didn't reserve a table.
Try it, you will not be disappointed.
We have eaten at Morton's in the woodlands many times with much enjoyment. So my husband and I decided to treat my parents to dinner this Christmas Eve. We made reservations. When we arrived the hostess sat us at the table right in front of the main door which meant every time someone opened the door we froze. When my husband asked for another table, the hostess said that was all she had. However, when our waitress came to our table she found us another table right away. Hmm.... Dinner was average, not anywhere close to past dinners, but the clencher was when the end of our meal came our waitress didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. We could definitely see she was in a hurry. Right before bringing our bill she began to tell us about her personal financial word....Very UNPROFESSIONAL. I was so embarrassed in front of my parents because I had spoken so highly of Morton's. Definitely not worth the $450. Bill!!!!!!
Worst dinner I've ever had and I am a long time Morton's regular. Have the original Morton's card. Food was delivered more than an hour after ordering and came out cold and undercooked. Following dinner I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager in a very polite way and was told there was a problem in the kitchen - that's it. If you want to pay $75 for a $5 meal, this is your place.
The waiter-excellent !
Joe helped me with modifying reservation- excellent!
Food was very good!
Only bad- very bad element- it took 30 minutes to get our cars. It was raining and cold. We waited outside for about 10 minutes. We moved inside for 20 but really felt like we were intruding on other guests.
We have always enjoyed great food and service at Morton's Grille. This time the food was great - service was spotty. We ordered two sides with our meal and they forgot them. We reminded them when they brought the entries. After 15 minutes or so we reminded our waiter who replied, "I have a rush on them" As we finished our entries I started looking for our waiter to cancel the sides. Then any waiter... We could not get anyone to acknowledge us. We were finished when the sides came out and they made no apologies or offers to have us not pay for them.
One bad experience doesn't ruin a restaurant for us, but it was disappointing.
We went here before our movies and informed the waiter just that. He was on top of it. He was quick, observant and very professional. The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. We finished with plenty of time to make it to the movies.
My husband steak was not quite medium rare for him. (Maybe he’s more like a med rare plus kind of guy?) He didn’t want to complain about it but the waiter still had the manager come by to say hi and check on us. That was really nice, sometimes you don’t want to say anything bad and the waiter was observant and proactive.
We would come back again.
All the dishes came out quick, nice flow.
Busy upscale steak house with impressive wine list and multiple beef entrees to choose from. Our server was excellent, she took great care of us. Our food was really great and prepared exactly as it should have been. It was a little on the noisy side but not uncomfortable. Parking is a little tough but the valet service is worth the modest charge.
