I had high hopes considering the brand but unfortunately left me unimpressed.
The restaurant felt more like a banquet/conference room vs a firm casual dining restaurant.
I took my wife here for her birthday and they placed us in “one of the best seats in the restaurant” since you could see both Niagara and horseshoe falls. The trees obscured most of both. As the evening progressed and daylight vanished, we found ourselves sitting in a dark corner - the pot light near us was blown out so we literally were in the dark. No candles on the table either. The doors leading the the bathroom were locked so I could not get back inside without having to go around the hallways back to the entrance of the restaurant (was told this was the convenient door to access bathrooms but we could get back in) - manager called to have them unlocked when he noticed I walked through the front again.
The food. A medium rare Cajun ribeye for me, and a medium well filet for the wife. What we received was a medium/medium well ribeye (no seasoning) and a butterflies well done filet. I believe wife asked for butterfly to ensure pink was minute. But it was unfortunately dried out.
We obviously mentioned it and the steaks were removed and remade.
My Cajun now obviously had Cajun spice and looked beautiful but I could easily tell by the feel it was rare-raw inside. The filet was pretty accurate but the wife felt it could have used some seasoning (she compares to other steaks houses in the region we visit).
I had hoped a brand such as this would have better quality products served to the guests. The service was amazing - manager was involved and made you feel welcome and cared for. The server also was personable and delivered with such great pride.
We left a touch let down.
Such a wonderful experience. Our server Tracy was absolutely amazing. Food was delicious and the view was sublime.
Service was excellent but the food was very expensive and not great. Definitely not worth the price.
best service ... asked to sing happy birthday to my husband guess they forgot
Ok very slow service
There was a large group (18) of guys who were loud, obnoxious and awful to staff. Staff and the manager did their best and certainly didn’t let our experience suffer.
I had the ribs and my husband tried the steak. Steak was great but with the ribs you could tell they were boiled which is fine but mine were boiled too long. I could tell because the bone kept splitting while I tried to eat them.
It"s a good restaurant but way too expensive. The food is okay but dinner for 2 is around $180 with a shared appetizer, 2 entree , a beer and a glass of wine. I don't think I am coming back to this place anytime.
Excellent value for the Prix Fixe menu of three courses. Although it still adds up, its a great value compared to most dining in Niagara Falls area which is way overpriced. Our waiter, Mario, was very attentive and personable acknowledging our special occasion with sincerity. Thank you. The dining room was very quiet at our early 5:30 time. The view overlooking Horseshoe Falls can't be beat.
The front desk lady was incredibly nice and kind.
Restaurant was okay. For the price, the food was average. I have been to much better steak houses. The value is good for $129 dine for 2 but it wasn’t anything spectacular.
Excellent quality and full of flavor. Very convenient since we were the hotel's guests.
We enjoyed our dinner but Leesa our server really made an impression! She was welcoming, attentive and very hospitable!
Food was no where near standards of Morton’s.
Amazing food and service! Beautiful location! 5+++
Good as usual, but both stakes were overcooked. They offered to bring new ones, but it should not be like that.
Morton has done a superb job of setting up an excellent dining experience through these adverse times. Our expectations for food, service and atmosphere were exceeded. We will be coming back soon.
Horrible experience. Food was overpriced and the quality was terrible. I will never go back.
Steaks were very good although my wife ordered medium-well and the steak was done same as mine which was medium. The $129 dining-for-two deal was great although it was odd that there were no side veggies served with the steak and baked potato.
We had a reservation but still had to wait 25 mins for our server.
The food was mediocre. My friend paid $15 for 3 Shrimp
The chicken dish was rubbery
The people who came into the restaurant after we did were served before us
Wow! Bill had a lousy meal last night too. The manager was indeed rude and unprofessional. Our server was great. My party all complained about how salty the steaks were. All of our steaks arrived at our table cold, and overcooked. I ordered rare and got something like by brother-in-law would cook. The fries were stone cold. We sent back four steaks, and then had the pleasure of interacting with the manager. He first walked by our table and sized me up, as I guess I sized him up too. He looked scared. He treated us almost identically as he did Bill, bringing out the steaks, making excuses, and asking each of us to cut into the steak to check its doneness, while shining the light from his Iphone on to the steak. It was kinda comical, but inhospitable. This must have been following Bill and his partner's interaction, so maybe the manager was already a little wigged-out. He sort of apologized, but he talked mostly about only charging half price for the steaks, and giving us the fries for free! (The second steak wasn't really rare, it was medium rare. And, it was generously salted. But hey, who cares by this point.) The manager failed to identify himself, and barked nervously at us, as he was consumed by panic and humiliation. I am so sorry I didn't read the reviews, they are all pretty accurate. I've had some amazing steaks and meals in my time, and this was not one of those occasions. I think we ate that tuna thing, which was good, although pretty salty, and I had maybe six bites of meat, and we paid them $525 and split. We were still hungry and devastatingly disappointed. The experience upset my family and we felt very lousy about our visit to Niagara Falls, until we had brunch today at a great place with very good service called Old Stone Inn. I will go back there, perhaps even spend a few nights at their hotel. As for Morton's and The Marriot, never again. By the way, I haven't flown Air Canada since 1992, or bought gas at Esso/Exxon since the Valdez spill in 1989.
Let me start by saying I am torn writing this review. The wait staff was amazing, prompt, polite and our drinks were never empty. The Manager of the restaurant was incredibly rude.
Long story short, my wife’s steak was way over done. I ordered a Cajun Ribeye, it came without Cajun spice and it was overcooked. This didn’t upset us. Things happen and the staff is doing their best in this COVID world.
The staff said they would re-fire the steaks and dealt with it pleasantly and professionally. The waitress said the Manager would come by, we said it wasn’t necessary and we understood. Nevertheless the waitress said he would come by. What the Manager did was walk briskly past our table and said “Hope everything is going ok this evening” without stopping or waiting for a response.
When the re-fired steaks came out the Manager brought them. He sarcastically said “here’s yours with extra Cajun” implying the first had Cajun seasoning, which it didn’t. My wife’s he said “ I’ll wait while you cut in and as she did he said “ I can tell it’s fine just watching the fork go in” He then left. No apologies nothing.
Later he was rude to a server in front of us.
The wait staff was great. The food was great when done right but the Manager left such a negative impression we would never return.
I don’t think expecting a little courtesy from the Manager when our bill for two was $225 is too much to ask.
The service was amazing but the soup and steaks were extremely salty. Best part was the shrimp appetizers.
Food was just ok. It was better in the past. For what we paid we were expecting better. Dessert was good however but took longer to come out than the actual main
Food is amazing, highly recommend the 2 can dine deal, its phenomenal!
Great food some things on the menu are quite pricy for the portions while others are more on point for what you get. Overall a great restaurant.
Due to Covid, eating on the pool deck wasn’t great, but food and service were
The appetizers were good however the entrees were not worth the cost due to poor quality. The steak was quiet fatty for the price point and was not very flavourful.
Service & food was impeccable. Highly recommend th e 3 course meal for two.
I know it is hard to accomodate the clients while on "patio" mode due to pandemic... but the staff is doing its best! Keep up the great service and thank you for the lovely anniversary dinner.
The outdoor dining was next to a swimming pool which isn’t normal. However they may do with the social distancing service was somewhat delayed at the beginning. With that sort it out if it’s a pretty good meal.
The steak value was underwhelming (slightly over cooked for medium rare) vegetable portion was OK but expensive! Wine pricing was over priced!
The food was not that good and the portion was really small and the size of steak also very small only potato have a good size
My boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner for his birthday. We chose the two can dine for $129 and it included a bottle of wine. The service was outstanding, the food was excellent, and our server Lisa made us feel special. She even took a picture of us from the restaurant’s camera, printed it out, and put it in a frame for us to take home. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Prices are too high, we received the wrong side dish and service was slow.
Asked for no onions in my salad. Received onions in my salad. Entree was shrimp and grits. Shrimp were rubbery and all I could taste was garlic. Grits were lumpy and not creamy. Waiter was inattentive. View was lovely.
Good service, quiet, beautiful setting, exxellent food.
We ordered the Two Can Dine 3-course set menu and it includes a bottle of wine. This is a great value dinner.
We decided to get the early bird special-great value.
Great meal and service. Thanks, Dan!
