Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Yes, it’s expensive but we felt it was almost worth it. All the courses were served in a timely manner, neither too quick or with too long a gap and all delicious! We chose the wine pairing and this was good. Sometimes we find that restaurants choose to try and showcase more unique wines which may or may not be to our taste - this wine pairing was enjoyable wines of well known varieties. However, despite how nice it was, is it worth an additional £60……not sure. Staff were very pleasant and attentive without being effusive.

A fabulous experience. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. Service was excellent. I would have preferred to add my own gratuity rather than have a discretionary 12.5% added on to the bill. However it wouldn’t stop me from returning!

The food was wonderful as usual and well supported by an enthusiastic team. I have visited several similar rated restaurants in recent months and always look forward to this one. The cheese tart served as one of three snacks is simply the best I have tasted. The trout with beets is also worth a mention, the mini beet meringues are a memorable addition. In my opinion, the tasting menu, based on other venues, is good value for your money and would strongly recommend a visit.

Disappointing. Food was well cooked but lacked the wow factor that you would expect from a Michelin Star restaurant. The desserts were “off the shelf” and to add insult to injury, the cheese and biscuits incurred a supplementary charge. Not to mention the service charge. On the plus side, the service was good. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant unless the prices are brought in line with the quality.

We visited for lunch. A warm welcome on arrival, followed by drinks at the bar. Then to the table - we chose the lunchtime tasting menu. Prompt professional table service and a very well judged menu. Well balanced and every course both visually attractive and full of exciting flavours. The pace of service was just right. We ended with coffee and petit fours, which made for a satisfying end to a most enjoyable visit. This restaurant deserves to succeed.
