We dined on a quiet Sunday evening and the attendant diners were few. There was only one server/bartender on duty but the server was terrific. However, the food she was given to deliver to our table was cold, and the Tuna dish wasn't even fresh. Meanwhile the owner sat at the bar drinking ignoring the entire situation.
I got sick shortly after eating the vegetable enchiladas- which were served at room temperature. It was incredibly noisy & hard to have conversation across a small table of 3 people. There was no salt & pepper on the table- which is common in fine dining establishment- but the food wasn’t seasoned to a level where surface salt or pepper was not needed. They had wines listed that were sold out. The best things we ordered were the baked Brie & flatbread appetizers. All three entrees we ordered did not meet expectations. The location was scenic but that definitely was the hi-light of the experience.
Great place to drink wine and try new wines. Great food and always a fun place.
Had our favorite corner table affording a beautiful view of Gig Harbor. We are long time regulars and the wait staff treat us so very well. Having just tasted some wonderful Washington Chardonnay and Cab Sauvignon (we bought 2 of each) we were happy we could open one of the cabs to enjoy with our braised ribs. Outstanding. Beginning to end. And the parfait desserts made a tasty finish. Steve and his staff at Morso have a very good formula working for them. No disappointments. Highly recommended.
Morso is a small venue, so the tables are small as well. We have been there a few times, and the food is always delicious. But two at a table for two was crowded.
Excellent wine selection, of course, but surprisingly there's a huge selection of craft beers, too!
So impressed with the varied, exotic wine list and appetizers. Fun to try new vintners and varietals. Highly recommended for the discerning wine drinker. Great service!
The initial ambience was very nice. Had a nice bistro table awaiting us. HH Hour wine and food was fine. The noise levels climbed rapidly as customers at the bar and at nearby tables got a bit boisterous. Our biggest problems was that they did not have our first three choices available due to a lack of pepperoni, clams and mussels. Really, in Gig Harbor? No excuse for that lapse in procurement. Having said that, we would give them another try because the setting is so nice as was the service
One waiter trying to serve the whole (packed) restaurant and serve as the bartender in his spare time? Please!
Food was OK... good curried mussels but they need to serve it with something to dip in the yummy sauce....lamb meatballs were very over cooked and dry
Disappointing visit to a place where we’ve had better luck in the past
Excellent wine list. Nice view of the water. A bit noisy, but okay.
It was a very tasty meal from appetizers to the main course. I believe that the atmosphere could be a made a bit more intimate and it was noisy due to the open area. Still would recommend for the food and wines.
Great good and service what more could you ask for.
Morso never disappoints, and Valentine's Night was no exception. It's nice to be greeted by the owner, who always acknowledges us by name and makes you feel welcomed. There were no window tables available but they had the dining room arranged so that most tables had a view and it was nice that we were given the choice of where we wanted to sit...but if you can grab a window table, the view is stunning. Food, wine and service all top notch. The steak and shrimp special was definitely a winner and the server had some good wine recommendations and so glad she talked us into dessert! Don't miss out on brulee cheesecake and key lime parfait. We look forward to our next visit.
Enjoyable evening of great service and food cooked to perfection.
We were there on Valentine’s Day, so it was quite busy, and we waited at least 45minutes for our appetizer to arrive. After that, the food was delivered promptly and was delicious.
Nice meal. Busy Valentines dinner rush. Kitchen a little slow but food tasty.
This is one of our favorites in Gig Harbor. In winter it is very cozy and in summer great on deck with beautiful view of Gig Harbor. The staff is great. As for Kevin he is great at bar and the table service. Overall a very friendly staff. Food is fairly priced and very good.
Great food , wine, and service-innovative menu, excellent wine selection -parking easy in back of the restaurant
My wife and my 3rd Valentines Day celebration at Morso. Quality and ambiance is always certain. Some of the portions (which my wife and I like smaller) are sometimes excessively small.
An awesome romantic place that will be our traditional Valentines spot!!
Valentine's evening reservation. A very Welcoming restaurant! Wonderful wine list is reasonably priced. Service was very attentive and not "over cooked". Seating is close and not intimate with a considerable amount of noise. In general our evening was wonderful and we will certainly continue to cross the bridge and return to Morso in the future!
Reasonably priced food with a nice view of the harbor. Good wine list.
We have been dining at Morso since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the wine is wonderful, with a good selection. The owner is friendly and the wait staff has always been attentive and friendly. On a summer's day, you can't beat the view of Gig Harbor. Great outdoor dining in nice weather.
Noise level was unbearable due to poor acoustic design
Terrible disability access. Concrete floors makes everything loud .
We have been to Morso a number of times and our experiences have generally been good, however, this time was a disappointment. We had a party of 4 with a reservation. While our server was very good and generally attentive, it took almost 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive and over hour for our dinner to arrive. Once dinner came, one of the dinners - a flatbread was burnt and had to be sent back. My wife's crab cakes were marginal - very tough and over cooked - hard to do with crab cakes. My wife also had a glass of wine that needed to be sent back due to the wine being spoiled - while not necessarily the restaurants fault, it was just additive to a less than stellar evening. Morso has been one of our go-to restaurants in the Harbor, I hope it is not starting to slip.
Excellent menu options. Lamb meatballs were sumptuous appetizer and almost a meal n themselves. Short ribs (boneless) were delectable and tasty accompanied by creamy polenta. Extensive wine list
Great meal and service from Sydney was awesome! We are new to Gig Harbor so this was our first time and it won’t be our last. It’s hard for two foodies (each with over 20 years in the restaurant industry) and wine lovers to find a spot that we enjoy and feel comfortable and this place really nailed both!
Good food, great service, but VERY LOUD. Loud enough that we will consider other options next time we’re in the mood to go to a wine bar for drinks and dinner.
I always have a great dining experience at Morso. The servers are warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is consistently excellent, and there is not a better wine list by the glass in the region.
We come here every Friday. Do yourself a favor and start your meal with the truffle popcorn. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is great (especially for dates). The wine list is extensive, but they have a selection of local beer on tap as well.
I met the owner who truly understands the meaning of hospitality. 5 Stars from me!
The service was prompt and exceedingly helpful. The menu and wine selections were great. All of this was outdone by the taste and quality of the food. The taste, appearance, and portion size were all spot on.
EXCELLANT SERVER! A REAL GEM...COLLEGE STUDENT..............................................
Spectacular location, great food. Not a busy menu but the options are fabulous, not your burger and fry joint but they do have Happy Hour. Over 100 wines and a few local brews. Our new go to for relax and unwind.
Lovely place - gorgeous view on a beautiful evening. The service was very slow yet to be fair, they were understaffed and our waiter did his best. I would appreciate more warmth and welcome...felt like we were a problem to be solved rather than an opportunity to connect with guests and extend hospitality. Food was good but took too long for everything to arrive. I'll come back one more time though and give this lovely, cozy spot another chance.
Happy hour was a good value with good service and and very good food and wine. Will be back again.
We were introduced to Morso by some wonderful friends, we were hooked ! The food, drinks, wine, service, setting all are top notch. If you want a patio spot they are on a first come basis. They do a really nice wine tasting in the gallery next door in Friday nights, there is also music in select nights. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Food was great along with the view. The service was very attentive. The menu selections were unusual and tasted great.
Morso always delights with a fresh, creative menu at rational prices, wonderful staff, superb wines and great view.
The best place in the neighborhood. Choice of dishes is very wide. Food is excellent, and service friendly. The noise level inside can be a problem; better acoustical treatment would be helpful. The Caesar Salad is truly outstanding. It would be great if they served a first-class wine, e.g., a Barolo or a Brunello, by the glass, or at least had half bottles.
