Excellent service in accommodating our earlier arrival. Appreciated special service from excellent somolier.
Our usual holiday treat, but this year the food was better than ever!
They took us right at our reservation time. The bar was packed and you had to get thru the bar to get to dining area. Service was awesome. Wine was very good -- but you were paying for very good wine. Had a great time. Noise level a bit loud. But we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Bill for 4 with tip was $325.
My favorite hidden gem that sits in the midst of it all. Incredible hosts and staff. Consistently excellent seasonal dishes.
Great find when visiting Rockefeller Center. Great menu. chartucerie, cheese, and wonderful salads. Several Larger entrees available. My husband loved his Cod and I enjoyed the pea salad. Great selection of wines and the special selections at $7 a glass were an outstanding value.
Excellent experience. Great wine, beautiful plating
Wonderful wine selection by the glass and very tasty dishes.
Very good! Decorated fabulous for the holidays!!!
Outstanding wine list in a great setting! Excellent service and overall a wonderful experience.
This was always our go to place in midtown when in the city. The decor and menu have been totally revamped since we were last there and not for the better.
Wine list is notable and you will find all kind of wines from many countries. If you plan to enjoy a wine bottle, this is the place!
They took away the quinoa salad which was a hearty gluten free vegan option. Very disappointed it’s done. Would not go back until it was added back in.
Nice wine bar--we sat on the patio with a great view of the flags and Rockefeller Center. Would recommend in that area for sure!
Had a great experience for a very large group (20+) for lunch. Food was good, service was outstanding, especially the support from Anna, the General Manager, who helped plan a week or so ahead, and then effectively and efficiently accommodate, such a large crowd for lunch on a busy work day in midtown Manhattan. Not an easy thing to do in the middle of NYC, but Morrell's proved to be the perfect choice for the gathering. Excellent service and and a prix fixe menu varied enough to satisfy a large group.
Overall the ambiance was good, service was good, menu is always good and interesting the only complaint as usual, and I've always had the same issue is the meal plates are not filling. Place is good for socializing due to the wine list but for dinner not so great as the portions are not filling compared to the price. but the wine list is excellent probably one of the best in ten city.
Usually we love it here. It's pricey. Service was slow on this particular evening. A dish that is usually served with a wonderful sauce and ample octopus was dry and lacking in actual octopus. The wine is pricey, and the selections by the glass are lacking.
This is our first stop EVERY TIME we visit NYC! Fabulous wine and very good food. Cheese board is excellent. Wine shop next door. Love people watching when seated outside.
Had the chicken, was clearly par cooked and reheated. Was served lukewarm as were the vegetables. Sad, tourist spot
This was my first visit to Morrell wine bar and cafe and it was everything I was looking for. Very good selection of wines by the glass, great food, excellent and knowledgeable service and quiet and sophisticated ambience. My new go to lunch and wine spot when in NYC. I will be back.
Wwe ordered the cob salad and it was awful. Hardly anything but lettuce, no flavor, not even tossed, and $27.
The menu at the restaurant was limited due to kitchen renovation. Not reflected on menu posted on Open Table.
We LOVE LOVE Morrell Wine Bar. After discovering it a few years back after searching for best wines bars in NYC, we are hooked. We live in CT and try to go there every time we are in the City. We already have our next two dates planned out for the holidays.
Christian the sommelier was lovely to speak with nad was very welcoming. It was my birthday and the staff there made it very special and memorable. My husband is a wine connoisseur and thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him about different wines.
Oh by the way.....the small plates are outstanding as well
Perfect. God’s favorite spot in Rockefeller Center
They cancelled the happy hour menu without notice and didn't check on the table for 15 minutes to take our order. We left. Wasn't even busy. Terrible service.
Was outstanding, Ana was superb!!!!
We always lunch at Morrell’s when we are in NYC. This time we thought the menu was limited. We ordered, but weren’t happy with the choices. We then saw that other tables around us received 2 menus. We never saw the lunch choices. Other tables received a wine book with their menus. We did not. Not sure why. Not the usual treatment. Will still go back.
My first visit to Morrell but not my last. The salad was delicious and the wine was extraordinary. It was the perfect place to unwind after work and talk business.
The location is terrific.
Amazing wine bar! Real depth in the wine btg selection. That paired with their helpful, friendly staff makes Morrell's a great place to discover new wine loves. The cheese, appetizers (such as truffled deviled eggs), and food in general is delish and pairs well with the wine selections. Great experience!
Christian Fentress is a brilliant Sommelier. His wine and food pairings are second to none.
The wine bar and bartender was fantastic, the cafe not so much at all.
Red wine served with a wine menu did not fit with octopus served. I have it hard to find how red wine served for pork lion is suitable for light octopus
We had a great diner at Morrell. With 2 kids who loved the truffle eggs, pasta and lamchops. Also the oysters were off extremely high quality and the tartare (both fish and meat) were great. This in combination with an extensive winelist and great indoor and outdoor place in an extraordianry location makes it the favourite spot down town New York. Would recommend going either for lunch and, or diner!
This is an easy stop when I am in Rock Center area… Food is always on point, fresh salads, creative entrees… and amazing wine selections by the glass.
everything i visit new york, i always plan to visit Morrell's The wine selection is outstanding and the food menu is concise yet provides a nice variety to please all.
Absolutely amazing food, wine and service. We will be coming back!
Such a great place to meet up with friends - and such a great view of the Empire State Building!! Definitely worth the price for the picture (or just a business casual meal)
Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious, and fun to share plates.
I reserved here for a work happy hour and it was great! Anna was so accommodating and overall everything was perfect. The wine list is amazing! Would definitely go back :)
A very nice find in midtown at short notice - great location and great patio.
