We greatly enjoyed our third visit to Morning Fork. Be warned that on a Sunday around noon, you HAVE to have a reservation to get a table. If not, the very stern hostess will tell you so. Luckily, we had a reservation, and got to enjoy the solid breakfast offerings. My veggie omelet was well prepared and flavorful. My wife had the scramble with delicious hash brown patties/cakes. The girls had a cinnamon roll with insanely tasty cream cheese icing, a side of bacon, and a Nutella crepe. Our service was from an excellent veteran server, who was friendly and very efficient.
The best of the breakfast locations. Fresh, quality ingredients, lovely presentation and the chicken sausage outstanding.
Visiting Louisville and found several favorable reviews for Morning Fork. Happily, they were 100% spot-on!! This is a gem of a place for breakfast and brunch.
Service was excellent, with the sometimes-elusive ratio of attentiveness and being left alone perfectly achieved.
I would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone looking for a great brunch (or lunch!)
Our table ordered the “MF’n Breakfast Sandwich, the Salmon Sandwich and the Avocado Toast. Everyone loved their choices, but the hands-down group favorite was the Cinnamon roll that we shared. Excellent!!
The food was phenomenal!! Every bite was delicious, So delicious. The hostess however was very rude and made everything tween like an inconvenience. Even when we were waiting to be seated I could hear her making another group feel bad for coming in with a large party.
I came to Morning Fork on Saturday morning with a reservation and my friend. I got there around 9:30, and she arrived around 9:40. We chatted for a bit before ordering our food and ended up eating around 10:30 or so. Our waitress was lovely and very patient with us while we talked before ordering our food. We ate, and talked some more while we finished our mimosas. Our waitress brought our checks over and we paid, and continued to talk until it got to be around 11:10. At that point, someone that I suspect is the manager came over, grabbed our mimosa glasses and said in a not-so-kind manner, ‘just to remind you, we’ve got a table coming in in 10 minutes.’ I hadn’t seen a time limit on table seating and I didn’t recall anyone telling me that prior to my seating. I understand we were there for about an hour and a half but I didn’t think that was an unreasonable amount of time to occupy a table. If we had known there was a occupancy limit we would have no-doubt respected it and wrapped up more quickly.
Anyways, we sat there another minute or so as we finished our conversation and gathered our things and the same manager comes over and snatches (literally snatches) the checks off the table, doesn’t say a single word and makes no eye contact. I’m not sure if she was having a difficult morning, or if this was typical behavior but I can assure you no food is so good that I’ll return to an establishment that has that kind of service. Next time I’ll walk my happy and hungry behind right down the road to the other 5+ brunch restaurants (Silver Dollar, Eggs over Frankfort, Blue Dog Bakery, Con Huevos, Christmas Morning Cafe, etc.) in the neighborhood. Louisville is too much of a food town that anywhere can have the food we ate at Morning Fork + kind service. The food was good, but not anything I can’t find somewhere else in the city, and maybe without the fruit flIes. At the end of the day I’m just a drop in the bucket, but I can’t say I’ll return in the near future.
This is our second time getting brunch at Morning fork. We got the eggs Benedict and mimosas. The food is really good, nice atmosphere and the staff is kind and attentive. This is one of our new favorites.
Cool atmosphere. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the biscuits and gravy. Probably one of the better eggs Benny we’ve had. Prices were a little steep, but they made up for it with their $3 mimosas. Will be back.
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Service was great. Food was very good. Waffles were a little dense. Prices were reasonable.
Put simply - it was delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back! 5 stars the whole way
The food was amazing and our waitress was outstanding, always on her toes waiting to help!
Our server, Rob, was very timely and efficient with requests and with his level of service. I however did not enjoy the food, except for the grits, and my friends “savory crepe”. Everything was over priced, and the food was bland. No salt and pepper on the table, had to ask for all condiments. Very generic menu.
Everything was great. No complaints. Wish is was closer to our house.
I seem to always have a great experience at Morning Fork. I went in with my family, Cousin‘s sister etc.… It was everyone’s first time except for mine and everyone absolutely loved the food. There were no complaints at all, the atmosphere was good, the prices are very accommodating, and the food is always extraordinary. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our experience completely amazing.
Great food and service!
They were about the only place open after a snowy day. Lovely and friendly service, delicious food (especially the cinnamon roll and fried chicken) and clean and hip atmosphere. Highly recommend!
The food was delicious and affordable. The server was all business, but did not ask if we wanted another round of mimosas.. which we would have.
Delicious and well presented. Morning Fork is a favorite amongst both friends and family for a nice breakfast and brunch when we want the option of a full bar and something a little special!
Music is a bit loud for socializing. Fantastic food. Great service.
Consistently great experience at Morning Fork.
It took almost 20 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server. My
Morning Fork had a bunch of great reviews so we decided to give it a try. Holy cow, everyone ordered something different in our party of 7 and nobody wanted to share because it was so delicious! THE best brunch we’ve ever had. Wish we weren’t from out of town! Cocktails did not disappoint either! Thanks for the great experience.
If 2022 turns out to be even 1/2 as good as our 2022 New Year's Brunch at Fork and Barrel was , then it will be one amazing year. Top to bottom, from the food turned out by Chef Jon Pauly to the total perfection in every category including service performed by co-owners Geoffrey and Emily Heyde this hot spot is 5 Stars across the board. Do yourself a favor and check it out today.
We enjoyed our Veggie Omelettes very much. The regular coffee could have been better.
Waffle was too tough to chew.
Latte took a long time to come to table.
First time here, wanted it to be a good breakfast but it was basically old food or pre-packaged. Guacamole (supposed to be avocado toast) tasted like from a can. Husbands gravy was from a package, fruit medley side had brown strawberries and bananas obviously from the day before. Crepe had same fruit with enough Nutella to cover up the brown spots. Bloody Mary had no flavor. Disappointing :(
Great food at a reasonable price. One of Louisville’s better brunch locations.
Enjoyed an after Christmas brunch with friends. We had the savoy crepes, special burrito and morning scramble. All were fresh and very tasty. Will be back soon.
We went Christmas Eve and had a great experience. Staff very friendly and never seemed hurried. Will definitely return.
Christmas Eve brunch was festive and delicious. The Cardinal Mimosa hit the spot.
Hands down MF is the best Brunch in the Ville, chef owned, chef driven MF is truly a 5 star breakfast, brunch and lunch experience in every category
We’ve been here a few times and loved it. This time was disappointing. Not sure the experience this time or the service was worth a $100 breakfast.
Food is average, kinda bland, and not of value for the price. However, the service was great and restaurant was clean.
Service was great. Vegetable omelet was outstanding. I would not recommend the hash brown patties. They were overcooked and chewy. $5 for coffee seems over the top. However, I plan to return. Glad to see this place in the former Northend Cafe space.
Brunch with Ms Claud
My absolute favorite breakfast spot in Louisville.
Friendly service. Delicious food.
Good food experience. Xmas movie was a distraction to conversation at our table.
When I made my reservation on Open Table, they asked for credit card to confirm-1st time this has happened and I found disturbing
We had family brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The service was fantastic, the food was superb, and we had plenty of space for 5 people rather than 5 being crammed onto a four-top. Great experience, overall!
