Very good french food, quality wine list, well trained service. Experience from front door/seating was very disappointing. Waited 40 minutes for reserved table, while 4-5 other came after us and were seated. They screwed up, and tried to compensate with price offset - which is appreciated, but the experience kind of killed the evening. There are 4-5 better choices in this neighborhood with as good/better food that I'd pick/recommend over Morin based on my experience.

They were able to accommodate my wife and I with a table upstairs. The only downside was that our server was not very engaged and on the verge of rude.

What a great experience. Amazing food, great service, in a fun lively setting. It’s definitely not “quiet”, so if you’re looking for a romantic setting this might not be the place, but it also wasn’t overwhelming loud like so many places these days. Even my old ears could manage. We sat at the bar, which I recommend, and received great service from a well-choreographed, friendly team. But the food is the star. We started with the Amuse Flight which was four or five small bites: foie gras, chick pea fritter, panipuri… All were amazing, complex explosions of flavor. For mains we split the Chateaubriand, which was cooked perfectly, and the Gnocchi, also great. Even the simple green salad was a revelation.

We did the chefs tasting menu. They were good to accommodate our food preference and allergies, especially my gluten allergy. The portions were small especially the main course. Two of the courses were so salty. I love salt so if I think it’s salty it is way too salty. We told our waiter but was more dumbfounded than willing to offer us another dish or quick to let the kitchen know. We did the wine pairing which was a huge disappointment. The wines were good but they did not go well with the dishes that we ordered. The dish either over powered the wine or the wine over powered the dish. Two of the parings were Cocktails instead of actual wine pairings (i.e. they gave us a daiquiri for dessert) which was a huge disappointment. Overall I’m glad we checked it out. It’s over priced for the service and quality of food they offer. I won’t go back again and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Phenomenal cuisine! Small note, we ordered the cucumber salad but when it was served it had pickles in it. I personally dislike pickles quite a bit so sadly I sent it back to the kitchen. It really ought to be mentioned as an ingredient on the menu. The beef tartare, Colorado trout, and roast chicken were all divine and the ambience was terrific. Will be recommending to others and coming back!

Loved the option for small bites (1-2 bites), apps and large entrees. We absolutely loved the small bites and the roasted chicken. The dessert we got (some sort of chestnut cake with sauce and ice cream) was to die for! It seemed like we encountered every person working in the restaurant and they were all very nice and attentive

One of the best restaurants in Denver right now. It's French-ish, with some nice twists from the chef on classics. Bomber wine list. Good cocktails. A treat.

Frustrating, mixed first visit to the most recent effort by one of our favorite local chefs. A sampling of not-often-seen oysters and a chickpea “taste”, a good start. Then a fabulous steak tartare along side a woody, stringy leeks appetizer. An original take on gnocchi for one diner, a pedestrian duck breast for the other. A shared dessert, wonderful. Our primary server seemed lost in space while the supporting staff made every effort to take up the slack. Speaking of lost in space, the upper loft may seem romantic and cozy but the delivery of dishes and drinks did seem to lag and appear out of sync.

The ambiance of Morin is wonderful and the staff was amazingly accommodating and friendly. However, I felt the value for the food I was getting was definitely over priced. I think they need to step it up a notch on what they are serving or add more to their current items.

I love French food and was really excited to visit Morin. I’m not sure where it went wrong but things just felt “off”. Everything we tasted was good but not great and the prices were what you’d expect from high-end French cuisine, but the atmosphere was more casual (multiple plates had chips in them) and it just seemed confusing. I liked the loud music (tunes from my college days in the early 2000’s!), but other people in our group thought it was far too loud and again, conflicting with the overall vibe of the restaurant.

We did the pairings menu. So good!! We even talked through every course the next day to figure out our favorites. Our waiter (sorry I can't recall his name) was so much fun, taking time to explain the pairings, answer questions, go through the various wine notes, etc. The food was, of course, exceptional. The bar was a nice little spot for a pre-dinner cocktail. As always, a relaxing, fun and delicious night at Morin.

Our only tiny quibble would be the lighting. We sat in one of the booths and the lights were a little too bright. We wondered if they remain bright all night because there are stairs at Morin and brighter lighting is needed for safety. But dimmer lights in the main, lower dining area would be a welcome tweak for the otherwise fantastic ambiance. Just love this restaurant.

I gave the place a 3 star rating over all because for the price, it should have wowed me. Instead I left feeling very meh. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. It was all very just so-so. The best thing was the chickpea fritter. The caviar appetizer was mostly just butter and quite bad actually. The foie gras was interesting. The beef was bland. The salad hadn't been washed properly so there was a lot of greens that had gone bad. I pushed all the bad greens to the side of my plate and the waiter didn't even mention them - which for the type of restaurant, waiters should definitely be trained to notice if someone does that. The duck was the second best thing we had. The wine list is extensive, but extremely overpriced. The noise gets bad once the place fills up. Overall, I feel like the food and wine were overpriced by about three times based on other dining experiences. There are a ton of places that are both half the price and twice as good - 12@Madison, Fruition, Acorn, etc. Next time, I'll take one of these instead.

Our experience at Morin was outstanding. Our server, Evan, was personable, knowledgeable and very helpful. We started with several hors d'oeuvres. The highlights were the caviar panipuri and the crab tart. The cucumber salad was wonderful. We had the gnocchi and the duck for entrees. Perfectly prepared. Also, must recommend the 3-day multi-step preparation for the fried potatoes served with an aioli that reminded me of a wonderfully reimagined potato salad of my childhood. This place is perfect, with a very cool ambiance. Our wine and cocktails were excellent as well. My favorite spot in Denver.

I have been to Morin twice since discovering it last week and have plans there for happy hour on Monday. Morin is a very unique, hidden gem (there is no sign outside, just the address) and I am so glad I found it. With so many unique restaurants in Denver, it's hard to stand out and Morin does just that. The food is exceptional and it's one of a kind menu will leave you wanting more. We had the trout and gnocchi at our first visit and both were to die for. The trout is served whole and the gnocchi is a true, homemade potato gnocchi. At our second visit we enjoyed oysters served with fresh horseradish and infused vinegar, (I am usually not a fan of vinegar on my oysters but the mango habanero vinegar with hot sauce and horse radish was amazing) the tomato tartar served with cheese and fresh baked gluten free bread upon request and some of the best wine I have ever had. If you're a foodie Morin is a must. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I had an outstanding culinary experience at Morin. Everything we had was amazing and delicious. We started out with a dozen oysters, which were some of the best oysters I've ever had in my life. The foi gras and caviar were light and delicious, as was the Morin Martini. We had the filet for out entree-so good and tender. Finish with the Mont Blanc for dessert- you won't be disappointed! One of my favorite new restaurants!

Four of us went to Morin. The space is very cool, with a large bar in the middle and tables around the circumference of the room. There are also tables on the balcony overlooking the bar/dining room. The server arrived promptly and throughout the evening was the best part.

We ordered a couple of the flights, which included one of each of the small bite offerings.
I liked the caviar bite but the rest ranged from OK to disappointing.

For my entree I ordered the Canard and my wife ordered the Bouef prepared to medium. The first item we noticed was the size difference. While my dish was a full breast, sliced and filled an entire plate, hers was three measly slices on a plate. I tasted the duck and was extremely disappointed. The texture of the meat was not to my liking, some of the breast firm, while other sections were almost mushy. The crust was burnt and they must have smoked it at some point, the smokiness of the meat was overwhelming. The sauce was outstanding, but meager My wife asked me to try the beef. It was horrible, it tasted like the chef added tarragon to the sous vide while cooking. The Bordelais was outstanding. The chef can definitely make sauces

We finished and received the dessert menu. I was not going to attempt another course, but be aware that for some reason there are no chocolate dessert offerings. That was very strange.

Overall, the server was great, but the food was not to our liking.

We enjoyed a couples night out in celebration of our friend’s birthday in Aug 2019 and had a great evening at Morin. Really delicious meal - great French flavors in modern, thoughtful dishes. We especially enjoyed the snap pea appetizer and the lamb entree. They have transformed the old Wazee Supper Club into a sophisticated space. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and patient - allowed us to enjoy a leisurely meal. All around a great experience! Morin is a welcome new addition to Denver's restaurant scene
