The food at Morin is excellent. We started with the mushrooms and potato beignets (which were listed as a side). The potato beignets are crispy, delicious and packed with flavor and can’t be beat to start a meal! We ordered the short rib and lobster gnocchi for main course. The gnocchi is outstanding, so light and delicious! The short rib was packed with flavor.

We didn’t try dessert because the combination last were not that appealing to us, but we loved the rest of the meal!

I would rate Morin good not great. The positives are that the food is of good quality and some dishes are quite inventive. Service also is very good. The negatives are that portions are small, some dishes look like the chef is trying too hard to be inventive, and the prices (especially for the wines) are quite high. Another thing is that, for a restaurant that is charging these prices, the ambiance is nothing special. My wife and I have eaten in some of the greatest restaurants in the world and we are not averse to spending money on quality food and service. We simply did not find this at Morin.

The caviar potato nibbles -- I could have eaten a dozen, are a great value ( for caviar) and just perfect bites. Great wine list, skin contact heavy, but well understood by the staff. And I have to say the food runners are exceptionally good--no deer in the headlights/unsure/uncaring service in the place. Anywhere. Exceptional bar staff. And it's bomb French food.

Non traditional French cooking. Both meat entres lacked flavor and extremely tough. Waiter was not very attentive on a slow night and not helpful in explaining dish preparation. Somm was delightful. Although a local chef recommended to us, we will not return.

This is the second time I have dined there with my wife and we came to the same conclusion as the first time! Our verdict: Pretentious and overpriced. They provide just average food quality and choice, which pretends to be gourmet/French and charges a price that just doesn't match the actual quality.

Being a genuine French gentleman, I certainly cannot stand a restaurant trying to be French, selling so-called French food without the quality and the portions to match. Some things were just way overpriced and misnamed: we were charged $4 for a few pieces of bread that were dense and dry (any good French restaurant doesn't charge for bread). They advertise a potato gratin which was really a $9 mashed potatoes (go back to the culinary school or just ask my mother!!), a very very modest pour glass of wine for $16. 4 choices on the menu for the main dish with a more promising name than what arrived and all don't come with any side. Then the only side options are two potato dishes. The only good thing on the menu is a tiny caviar canape for $10 (was $8 just 2 months ago). A tiny size but actually a delicious bite. The atmosphere is cool and they did a good job converting the old Wazee Supper Club, but it just not enough to justify the price/quality.

We gave it a second shot, but we will not give it a third.

We entered Morin's and were very impressed with the interior design. The waiter James was very good. The chickpea appetizer was well received. The salad was good. The mushroom appetizer was very good but extremely small. The pork and chicken dishes were mediocre. The lamb and fish dishes were good. Overall value for the price was not worth it.

All five of us agreed, Morin was a perfect 10 across the board. The food, the drinks, the service, and the ambiance were all topnotch. Our server, Scott, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without bring intrusive. We couldn't have asked for a better Friday night dinner experience.

I love French food and the other restaurants owned by the Culinary Creative Group, but Morin was disappointing. The food preparation is overly fussy (3 of our dishes included some sort of foam), the portions were minuscule (2 thin slices of beef for a $39 entree), and overall the meal was wildly overpriced and none of the dishes blew me away.

When an establishment earns high marks it takes a few aspects - service, taste, ambiance and value to earn a five star rating. Unfortunately for Morin it was not hitting any of the cylinders. The only thing great was the Mont Blanc dessert. Our waiter cannot explain the menu well, forgot our drink order, cannot even explain the decor well either. Food was average in taste and there making value harder to justify. when asked why this is a French restaurant all the waiter can say is that the chef feels that is what Paris is serving now.

On a Sunday night on St Patrick’s Day there was hardly any diners. Hope they improve and can make it. Given the competition and the level of quality it is an uphill battle.

Loved the food, service, decor. The only knock is the level of music (way too loud), and the type of music (not a fit for a French restaurant).

While the food and ambiance was really top-rate, the noise level was so high we could not really carry on a conversation. We asked more than once if the music could go a bit lower and I think it was reduced a bit. We were there for a birthday celebration and, while not required, did not receive so much as a "happy birthday". For well over $300 spent we were sadly disappointed because we were really looking forward to a special evening.

I love Morin so much. The ambience is incredible. From their lighting to their glasswear and plate wear everything is truly unique. The service is top notch, and I’m picky, so when I say top notch, it’s true! And lastly, the food is incredible. Two of the best meals I’ve had in Denver in a very long time. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s one of Denver’s best. Do yourself a favor and GO. Thanks Morin!

We have traveled all over the world and tried many Denver restaurants - the food at Morin rivals them all. The fresh and interesting take on traditional French cuisine was wonderful! The service was prompt - everyone did a great job. The wine and alcohol list satisfied my whisky connoisseur son as well as my wine-appreciating husband...5 stars all around!

What a great place. What used to be Wazee Supper Club has been completely transformed into a stylish dining venue. Service was excellent. The food was really good, just wish I had had more of it. Great wine choices, and my husband had the best Vieux Carre (cocktail) he has ever had (with brown butter in it! Go figure!).

the space is a lovely rework of the old Wazee Supper Club. We liked the ambiance. However, it is not what I would call either a traditional French restaurant nor an innovative one. The carrot salad was excellent. Other than that, all was disappointing. The drinks were small and the martini was too heavy on the vermouth. The choice of wines by the glass was small (though i will say that it appeared to have a lot of choices for bubbly). the dishes were so so. Steak was fine, though not exciting. Not a steakhouse quality nor what I would say is a French treatment of very nice beef. The chicken au vin jaune was very disappointing. It was created in a loaf with almost a terrine like substance. It was very bland although it came with a very small amount of a sauce (not enough). the lentils with it were good. The dessert, the chocolate was very small and quite disappointing. As pretty a space as this is, none of the three of us will be back.

Very expensive. Very good. A bottle of wine, some incredibly delicious and very creative appetizers, plus some wonderful fresh oysters. Strangely, while the entrees themselves were very good, they were actually a let-down after the appetizers and sharing plates. They were just very basic and left something to be desired. Again, they're quite good, just lack the "star appeal" that the first courses have. Pro tip: You aren't going home full unless you spend a couple hundred bucks (well, less if you aren't getting any liquor but who wouldn't want to get the liquor?!) Overall a wonderful place but the expense and plate size reduce value a little bit. Would definitely go back, though!

The food was outstanding, but the service was not great. We waited 45 minutes in between courses in a relatively empty restaurant and watched as many tables who got there after us were served first. It was incredibly frustrating as our server did not check on us during this time and did not acknowledge the wait time when he did bring the food. An apology would have had us coming back. I’m not certain that we will, though. Such a shame because we loved the food, beverage, and ambiance.
