The food and service is beyond reproach! You’re treated like royalty from the moment you walk in! Our server Chris was amazing! He made recommendations with a twist! I would say you will be amazed! Try the whole fish and the chocolate sphere! We were blown away! We highly recommend the truly amazing food and awesome dining experience!!

Our favorite dining experience while in Waikiki!! Lovely restaurant, great location, very busy. Wait staff was exceptional. Our server Natalie was awesome! Great menu directions, very friendly. Kyle, asst GM, was also friendly & engaging. We ordered the special, a hamachi dish, best entree we had on the island! When it was served, Kyle came immediatly to our table & showed us how to eat it!! Being mainlanders who live in the desert, we were a little stumped. He made it fun. DELICIOUS! He’d also recommended the Sticky Ribs, which did not disappoint! At the end of our meal, he came by our table again with glasses of pineapple sake! Yum! Hands down, best meal, most fun, high end dining experience in Waikiki. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Make a reservation!!

Arrived about 30 minutes early for end of Happy Hour…sat at the Bar and loved our service from bartender Yukie so much that we never left the bar to have our dinner. We chose the Peppered Beef and Kung Pao Chicken, both were absolutely delicious. If only 2 of you…entrees are easily shared with a bowl of rice/fried rice. Try the Lychee Martini 🍸! Atmosphere is great and all staff we encountered were a notch above!

An absolutely phenomenal experience. Our server was quite extraordinary where he was on point with every detail and remembered the little things that made a huge impact. Everyone was so attentive and the service was spectacular. The food was absolutely PERFECT! The taste was out of this world and made the night perfect with how unique this place is!

I think the food is a little bit over priced for what it is… For some reason, my food took a very long time to come out. My server was good, but he forgot to bring me soy sauce. I have been to this location before and my last experience was a bit better.

The server Alex was great! The food was great in some dishes and average in others. The kitchen should be more on top of the dishes, all the tables around us, and one of our dishes was sent back to the kitchen.

From the beginning, we got there a little early so we head to the bar. The two bartenders were so busy talking to each other and did not bother saying hello. It took them about 10 minutes before they even say anything and the only thing they said was, “Are you ordering?” Sitting outside at the very end was so hot and uncomfortable. They did not even bother asking if we would like to move. We asked for water and it took 20 minutes to bring it and the sad part was, the water pitcher was sitting right next to our table. All in all, this was bad and I would not recommend or go back to this restaurant.

Poor take on Chinese food. Wasted $200 on 2 main dishes and to be seated completely away from all of the other diners due to having a child in our party. It was completely noticeable where they will shove you in the back room away from the other diners and it must be the restaurant’s policy in regards to having children dine there. You pay for expensive food and to be in a nice ambiance. This was not the case. The wait staff were wonderful and accommodating. Never again will we come here or recommend this place.

Some food was excellent (cod), some were OK (garlic shrimp), some were poor value (shrimp and scallop chili). Service was good. Table server seemed to be pushing appetizers and sides a lot, especially after she found out we weren't ordering a lot. And I thought it was really noisy. Probably won't go back.

On our visit on 8/31/23 to Hawaii, our waitress Sara seemed to spend more time and effort tending to the needs of the table next to us that she paid no attention to us. While we were seated at a wobbly table that we needed to have the hostess fix, the waitress barely spoke with us. The busgirl was the one who brought our food and one of the busboys noticed we needed a knife for one of our courses and immediately brought one. While all this was happening, the waitress continued having lengthy conversations with the table next to us completely ignoring us. When we ordered drinks, she brought it to us in bottles, not glasses. Since we noticed everyone else in the restaurant was drinking from glasses, we asked for them which seemed to irritate her because it meant she needed to leave the conversation she was having with the other table. Never bothered to check on us to see if we needed anything else and only made an appearance to give us the check. I actually did leave a tip but I was so upset at her lack of effort I noted on the check "If you had given us half the attention you gave the other table, we would've had a better dining experience". I've been to Morimoto many times when I visit Hawai'i but this by far was the most disappointing dining experience my wife and I have ever had. I genuinely believe that if we had any other server assigned to our table the experience would have been by far better than the one we ended up with. As it stands now, we'll probably never go back, it's a shame when the person you are counting on to deliver the kind of service we've expected from such a great restaurant fail to deliver even the most minimal effort.

The waitress was very nice, but I think they may have been understaffed for the night. Service was SLOW. It started at the host stand when I waited 15 minutes for my table even though I had the reservation. It was strange to see a party walk in with no reservations and be seated before me and several other parties who had reservations (including same size parties). Had to refill my own water glass multiple times. The ribs were good. Angry lobster was overcooked and lacking in depth of flavor. Save money and skip the sake flight. Go straight for a bottle of sparkling because that was the only decent one.
