Bar tender completely ignored us for about 15 minutes. Server at table was great. Food was good but definitely not worth the price. Highlight was duck Caesar salad.
One of the best meals I’ve had! Ordered 8 different items from the menu and everything was incredible
Very good service. Waitress was very sweet and professional. Food was above expectations. Would love to dine here again
Great food and service.
Daniel did an amazing job & took good care of us. Outstanding hospitality!
I waited over an hour for my food but they gave me free food
Food was expensive and nothing special. This is like a glorified of PF Chang. I would not go there again.
Don’t try the roast duck which was fatty and nothing like Peking duck!
Fantastic food and outstanding service! The Iron Chef did not disappoint.
The noise level was not "energetic" but was obnoxiously loud. The music was too loud & not really fitting for an upscale dining experience. The food was amazing!
Hands down our absolute favorite dinner
Food was excellent and the service was terrific.
Menu is varied and everything we tried wa amazing.
The server was great.
Ordered several small plates, they were all delivered within 5-10 minutes of ordering. Did not receive our drinks until mid way through meal. Felt very rushed. They had us in and out within 45 minutes. Servers were nice and food was good. We would have enjoyed having a couple drinks and our plates coursed out.
The food was delicious. A little price but to be expected in Waikiki. Waiter was very attentive. Visual pleasing to see the smoked old fashion made table side as well as the chocolate sphere caramelizing. Made up for the loud guy a few tables away.
Great service started with Hank at the bar.
Our server Jen was awesome. Helpful I choosing our dishes. The popcorn shrimp was my favorite. The others loved the duck.
We had an awesome experience.
It was my 2 year anniversary with my gf and I decided to take her there. the servers there were so polite and the service was fantastic. Defenitley one to remember.
It was great, a bit loud because there was a conference going on but not too bad. Food was amazing. Service seemed a bit rushed but we were exhausted so we didn’t mind too much.
We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary-We had a great night and the staff went out of their way to make it special.
Great dinner for our last night in Honolulu! The space is beautiful and all the food was strong. Highlights were the sticky ribs, duck caeser salad, and BBQ black cod. The cocktails and wine list were also great. The only issue is the timing challenges with service. You'll get food as it's ready versus timed correctly for coursing. That's fine if you know in advance, but they don't forewarn so the food can ebb and flow more than you'd expect. That said, the service was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely go back.
Relaxed but fancy. Great service and excellent food. Memorable experience. Would go again.
Beautiful restaurant. Excellent food. Professional and friendly wait staff
Awesome wAiter, incredible food (loved the duck, ribs and something they served when I asked them to surprise me (almost like a soup with spicy red sauce, Pork, and tofu). Great location and ambiance - will go back again and again.
This is one of our favorite places! It never disappoints!
Anthony was top notch. This was our first time at Morimoto’s. Anthony suggested his favs and he did the place proud. All the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and committed to excellence. Look forward to trying other dishes on our next visit
We ordered the Carpaccio, sticky ribs, the fish special, and the chocolate sphere for dessert. All excellent.
On our way out we spied out what the other guests were eating. Everything is beautifully presented and looks so so good. Can’t wait to return.
The background music didn't fit the sunset beach view. Food and service was excellent!
Everything thing about our experience was 5 star; From the greeting upon arrival to the beautiful modern dining room!. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be with. She suggested menu items that we might not have tried and they were delicious. One the item for which the Chef won on “Iron Chef”
We would be more than happy to come here again. We first heard about it in Fodor’s Hawaii.
Restaurant is a little challenging to find. Hotel was really empty so there were not many people to ask for help. Once found the location is beautiful with ocean views. Sound level can get a little loud with the piped in music and other dinners revelries. Food is excellent and the staff is very attentive.
My wife and I enjoyed a delicious sunset dinner on the balcony. The food definitely met our high expectations. We shared the spicy tuna tacos, a spicy yellowtail roll, the chef morimoto special roast duck with a bottle of lychee sake! Everything was delicious! Also, the service was outstanding. Seating was prompt at the time of our reservation and our waiter was professional, had a positive energy and was very knowledgeable about all the food options. I highly recommend this location for a special dinner with friends of family. Thanks!
Great restaurant, view amazing! Cesar salad made at table was delicious, lobster roll could be a meal, cod perfectly done - everything had a special touch. Chocolate ball dessert is a great end of the meal! Can’t wait to go back!
Everything was great
The pork belly was absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait for our next trip back to Waikiki, we will definitely come back to Morimoto.
Didn't know what to expect, but we were all pleasantly surprised at the price levels,
one could go mid-range if you're budget minded, or go high-end.
We started with the sticky ribs, which was so tasty...finger-licking good, loved
biting into the first layer of crispiness then into meat that fell off the bone.
Then the whole crispy fish was outstanding, wish I could've worked into
the head, but too shy to do this there. The house fried rice was wonderful, not the
usual fried rice, nice little bits of surprises - all good. And the kalbi with house-made
kimchee was good, but not quite the Korean kalbi I'm used to, it was a bit on
the bland side, but we all enjoyed it as it didn't over-power the other flavors...which
I think, made a good balance.
Being non-drinkers, we opt for the lilikoi slush drinks, a bit sweet, but very good, went well
with the meal. For dessert, we had the donuts (4) with 3 different sauces, all good.
Dishes are meant to be shared, family style, so we all got to taste everything.
Ambiance also a big plus, with views of the ocean and seeing the sun set as we
had dinner. Service was excellent, water always being refilled. Our server,
Anthony, was very professional, but nice and friendly, and very knowledgeable.
Parking a plus, since they validate for parking in the Alohilani Resort parking garage.
I would go back again, just to have those dishes again, and I've already recommended
this place to others.
Thank you for a great meal!
The service was amazing. Our appetizers came very quickly and so did the main course. I would recommend to wait to order the main course until you finish the appetizers. The drinks are very good too. Highly recommend the ishiyaki buri bop and the salmon tartare. Will definitely be visiting again my next time on Oahu.
Spent our anniversary dinner there. Great service and very friendly staff. Food was amazing!
My husband and I on a staycation went to Morimoto’s. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Our waiter Chris was fabulous. Paced our meal just right. It was not just eating out. It was a dining experience. The dim sum and gyoza, spicy ahi roll, ribeye, bop, dessert—perfection. As a local, I am so happy to have this quality of am experience close by. Oh and drinks—awesome!!!
Repas délicieux, un peu plus épicé serait parfait. On devrait demander aux clients ce qu’ils souhaitent; mild, medium ou soicy
Although the food was very good the service was spotty at best. Our food arrived well before our drinks which were ordered at least 5 minutes before our food. The portions were smaller than we were led to believe when we asked the staff. We were disappointed the steamed fish didn’t come with rice to soak up the delicious sauce. The waiter assured us he would bring some to the table. It did not arrive and we asked another passing server from an adjacent table. She brought it promptly but we were charged for a side order. Lastly, no service pieces were delivered even though we let the server know we intended to share our dishes family style. We all agreed we sensed that we were being rushed out for the next customers/tips. It is unfortunate this restaurant is associated with Mr. Morimoto. I am certain he would be humiliated by the way the restaurant is being run.
We love Morimoto’s restaurants!! The food is very creative and delicious. They always have unique cocktails as well. If we aren’t planning dinner there, we at least stop by the bar for an appetizer and drinks.
Lots of personnel but not attentive and slow. Like relaxed atmosphere but slow for sure. Food was not as good this time and we both got ill afterwards.
The gin martinis were very strong--way too much gin. The hot pork gyoza appetizers were stuck to the very hot serving dish and were difficult to extract but tasted good. The Singapore Curry Noodle dish had very little taste. The sauteed Chinese vegetables with tofu dish was just okay. All three dishes were very salty. The only standout was the strawberry-yuzu sorbet. The background "music" was loud, with a thumping-beat that was very distracting. As another review mentioned, the atmosphere was very "corporate" and lacked any semblance of a place to have a quiet conversation with your dinner partner. The seating was very tight allowing little privacy. If you go, I imagine it will be the last time. This facility will likely survive due to its location and the abundance of tourists who pass through Waikiki and move on.
Overall the food was good, not great. Some of the food was a bit over spiced. The stand out was our server who was so friendly and accommodating.
