Food mediocre. Setting great. I have not enjoyed the food but cime for setting
The food was good. But the hostess was terrible & had no clue what she was doing. It was a special night that was not acknowledged and they sat us next to a table of 20 people w a view of the kitchen! You couldn’t even have a conversation!
Overall a good experience. View is awesome. Food was good, to very good. A little pricey for some items that didn't look too impressive. She Crab soup as an appetizer. Good, not fabulous, but price was great for 5/6 for cup/bowl. My daughter had a Ramen bowl for $18 and added shrimp for $11. The shrimp were plain and had nothing on them at all. Very plain dish for $29. I had crab cakes and they were good, nothing to write home about, but I was not displeased. That dish was $19, I thought was reasonable for real crab cakes and two sides. My wife had a scallop chef special for $32, she said it was good, but $32 seemed a bit high for what it was, but once again, not displeased. My son had fried oysters mac and cheese. It was enough for 2 people easy. He said it was good, fried oysters on top looked good. $19 or so if I remember. Not bad since it had 8-10 fried oyster on the top. Service was great, atmosphere is quiet and view is great.
Portions were a bit small, but very good tasting. Could have offered some bread prior to dinner to make up for the small portions.
It’s all that and then some. First go to every year when we arrive😋
Loved it. Our waitress, Angela, was fabulous.
With an oyster roast going outside and a party in full swing, you'd have never known in our cozy little corner! I mentioned date night in our reservation and the restaurant did a great job ensuring we had a quiet evening. Our server was excellent with recommendations and was prompt but not overbearing. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
Great atmosphere being on the water. Good service. Food was great except for the mashed potato side.
Fun, high energy.
Beautiful view, cozy atmosphere.
Delicious, creative food.
Not good. Long waits. Sent meal back twice to be warm enough to eat and it wasn’t comped.
Beautiful sunset. Shrimp and grits was good but not great. Nice casual place with great location.
Both of us Did not enjoy the food. A place to visit for cocktails only.
Morgan Creek Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. This restaurant has good food, excellent service and a beautiful location. We loved listening to the guitarist play for Valentine's Day and the passion fruit martini was so delicious!
I went here for Valentine's Day and I loved it! No wait, price was great, nice quiet atmosphere overlooking the water. A live band was playing and it was amazing! We had the fried shrimp appetizer which was really great. My date and both had the Chicken Piccatta and we loved it! I love the location of the restaurant, very secluded, like a best kept secret. We traveled from Summerville and it was so worth it! We will be back! This is my new favorite restaurant!
It was Valentine’s Day. The food and service was great.
The Morgan Grill never disappoints. Fantastic seafood dishes, great service in a laid back atmosphere. Wonderful.
Food was superb, server was delightful and efficient, water views everywhere…doesn’t get much better than that!
Great location but average cuisine.
After 3 visits to Morgan Creek, the cuisine is not appealing to me to go back.
Great local place and favorite to bring friends and watch boats come in on ICW. New menu is great! The stuffed flounder is a must try.
Food was OK service was terrible. Didn’t get a waitress until 15 minutes after we sat down. Then took an hour for a party of 6 to get our food on a Thursday night that wasn’t very busy. For the hour we waited for food our waitress pretty much ignored us. There are too many other good places to eat on Isle of Palms. I would put this one towards the middle for food quality and at the bottom in service.
Dinner with friends
Our server Chris was excellent. We have lived in Mt. P. for 12 years, and I find it hard to find a place to eat that has great food that is reasonably priced. This checks all of the boxes! We have been returning customers and we will continue to recommend it to friends and family.
Sadly, this will be our last trip there. We were seated in a very cold corner, with a heater, in name only. After a very long wait my wife who had specifically inquired if her flounder would be a filet, received little chunks that most places toss out. The fruit cup was unpeeled slices of pineapple adorned with someone's hair. My waffle managed to be both over cooked and cool. Sausage was good.
Great atmosphere and awesome food. We will definitely return for a meal when we are in Isle of Palms area.
Great all the way around!
We were VERY disappointed in our meal for New Years Eve 2017. I made reservations for 6 adults at 8:00 for NYE on December 26th, and was looking forward to dinner with friends at one of my favorite restaurants. I dine here very frequently and love to have friends join me there for meals. When we arrived at 8:00 pm we were put in the room off to the left that is usually used for private parties. It has NO view. Our party of six was stuck at at long table that had silverware for 10 people. Also in the room with us was a group of 8 adults and 4 children. They told us they had been there since 5:30, and you could tell. The adults were drinking and the children were running wild. I asked if we could be moved and was told no. When the server came for our order, I asked about specials and was told there were none, even though the web site had said that there would be NYE specials. The food was fine, but it was an awful evening. The other party did not leave until we were ready to go. I was so disappointed, especially because there were so many restaurants in the island and in Mt Pleasant that had specials. Morgan Creek Grill, you really let me down.
We ate here on New Year's Eve, undoubtedly a tough night for a restaurant. The food was good and the restaurant was a pleasant experience. Lovely view of the local harbor.
As always, Morgan Creek Grill is an enjoyable place to grab dinner. Wait staff is good, service is a little slow. Food was very good.
Loved our service- food was ok but pricey for what we had. Menu is kind of boring.
We were there New Years Eve and really enjoyed the food and drinks . We could watch
the Atlanta Falcons game on tv and our waiter , Richard Burnett ( no relation ) was
very attentive and pleasant .
Wonderful meal with attentive service and beautiful view. We will be back!
Good food, service, atmosphere and overall dining experience. Always enjoy eating here when over at Isle of Palms.
Beautiful atmosphere, fun for all ages. Outside bar has a sandy beach & games to play. Good food-
Always like it! Our server Joel was very (not too) attentive. Just right. Only comment is wine by the glass is a lot more expensive than the same wine at other restaurants. And of course food prices are way up. One salad two entrees and two glasses of wine now $100. But the view is awesome. Got to pay for something I guess!
My experience at the Morgan Creek was absolutely fantastic. Our server Thom, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very passionate about seafood. My husband and I ordered Oyster Rockefeller, PEI mussels in white wine sauce for appetizers, Sword fish with loaded mash potatoes and Shrimp and grits for dinner, and shared a Key lime pie for dessert. All of the food we ordered was packed with beautiful flavor and was incredibly well balanced. I'm not a key lime pie person, but the pie here is simply divine. I enjoyed every minute and I plan to go back as soon as I can.
Server was phenomenal. Food options we had high hopes. But either the food was I really salted or had no flavor. Great menu, food taste wasn’t the best. I would try it again, looks like a great spot for the summer.
Great food. Excellent service. Wonderful ambiance.
Great Thanksgiving buffet. The food was excellent - all the traditional T'day items, plus several seafood choices. The staff is very friendly & attentive.
Although Charleston is known for many of its eateries located within downtown, my wife and I found a steal on Isle of Palms. The service was outstanding, the ambience was very romantic, and the food was dangerously good. We both ordered the sheepshead and swordfish dishes, both chef specialties. These dishes were packed with layers of flavor that were amazing, the best meal of our lives. The wine selection added to our meal, and we can say upon leaving the IOP marina, that this was an experience of a lifetime. Well done.
Enjoyed our brunch. Service was good. Beautiful location👍
