This Restaurant is Permanently Closed... obviously you have not updated your files.. The owner called and personally gave me the info as I had a reservation for Thanksgiving Day... Morgan Creek Grill was one of the best Restaurants in Isle of Palms and we are so sad that it is gone....

Likes that they served the regular lunch and Brunch menus to chose from. Make your own Bloodie was great, lots of veggies.

Truly enjoyed our night out. Romantic and cozy atmosphere. Loved the calamari and the grilled salmon!
My friend’s French fries were cold. Otherwise all was excellent. Service outstanding. All the hostess and waitstaff were exceptional, as was the ambiance and vies. I love it there. Thank you.
Had to wait 1 hour for food. Brunch menu out of eggs and ham at 12:45.

We selected Morgan Creek Grill based on the TripAdvisor reviews and the menu. We were looking for fish/shellfish grilled - not fried. I had the red drum and my boyfriend had the swordfish. The entrees were delicious! We also enjoyed the restaurant ambiance.

Food was delicious, but came out very slowly despite tables being seated after us were served their meals. Server was rare to find. Ordered a glass of wine, and it was never received. We cancelled it, and server said it was sitting on the bar. Food was exceptional, service was sub par.

Yes, unfortunately Friday saw some unexpected back ups in the kitchen. We truly appreciate our guests' patience with us that night as we tried to get things moving at a proper pace. BEAUTIFUL view at sunset between the boats, docks and water. We had the most pleasant, attentive waitress and the food came out promptly. The food was good with a nice menu. All 6 of us enjoyed our food. The hot crab dip was very nice but the fried green tomatoes were a bit thick with little taste. From salads to porkchops, there is a nice selections at reasonable rates. A solid restaurant with a nice bar with games in the TVs. Will definitely go back.

Hostess was no where to be found for a while and not friendly. But once we were seated the server was fantastic and food was good as usual.
I'm very glad that once you were seated that you had a positive experience. Based on your visit date, I see that you were here Sunday. Was this during Sunday Brunch or during the dinner? We would like to make sure you do not encounter the same kind of front desk experience again. - Ryan
View at window table was great as was our server, but actual food was very disappointing! Crab dip and she crab soup were a good flavor but sadly lacking any quality crab. Fish tacos ha a very small, dry piece of mahi mahi and lacking -- you could roll up the small tortilla into a small burrito! Saturday at 5:30 and out of oysters! Roasted Brussels sprouts were shaved and hard as a rock. Sadly disappointing!
Joel, this is certainly disappointing to hear. I do apologize that your visit was so dismal. As for the oysters, unfortunately the recent string of hurricanes have delayed all oysters coming into the Charleston area for all restaurants. For the rest of the matters, I will make sure that the kitchen is made aware. Hi there, Jennifer. Thank you for your review, but I am a little confused. Today (Saturday, October 12th) is the first day that we have had music at our restaurant in about a month. We do not have live music on Thursday's. I just want to make sure that this was in fact the correct restaurant you dined with on Thursday. More low country food than we expected, but the oysters were marvelous. Shrimp were a little overdone. Overall a good experience.

The people were very nice but our food was not good at all. All arrived very cold, one person sent their food back and the rest of us should have done so as well. The quality -versus- value did not compare. Don't mind paying for good food, just did not enjoy.

Unfortunately, it wasn't until recently that we found a good rhythm to handle the incoming business after our UpperDeck had to close from Hurricane Dorian. Great view of the marina. The tacos and burger were great. The she crab soup is really good. I was less impressed with my Caesar salad and the shrimp and grits were a little soupy. Our waitress was nice and quick!

Had a reservation for 7:00. Got there at 6:53 and was told to come back in seven minutes/ Plenty of empty tables in restaurant. Ordered the fried shrimp which was over cooked.

As for seating times, on weekends we do have to be specific with seating at the reservation times, in order to give our kitchen and servers as much time as possible to handle their guests with the quality we strive for. It's often not based on what tables are empty. We truly appreciate our guests' patience while we ensure a proper flow in service. I do apologize that the shrimp was not to your liking. Fish selection was very salty. Restaurant became very crowded and server was overwhelmed, was forgetful of requests. Unusually long wait time for service and food.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Dorian forced our Upper Deck to close for repairs. That includes an entire kitchen and half of our kitchen staff. This means that weekends can get especially tough to accommodate the business. We are working hard to find the right rhythm of things and sincerely appreciate guests' patience while we find what works and what doesn't. - Ryan
MY first visit with friends. Service and food were superb. Happy I made my reservations (from NJ). We were given a nice window table with great view. It certainly added to the ambience of the evening.

We have been coming there since 1993. The food was excellent but there were a lot of people and we were a long time being served our dinner. We will continue to go there and do not want this restaurant closed in 2020

Excellent meal and setting. Kitchen was backed up, food took almost an hour from placing order with wait staff, communication was okay. Bottom line we would return.

Hurricane Dorian shut down our Upper Deck (including an entire kitchen), so it is causing some unfortunate back ups. I'm so pleased that your experience and food otherwise was a success. Three in our party had mediocre food at best, and two dishes were terrible. The shrimp and deviled egg appetizer was awful. Calamari was over cooked and average. She crab soup was very good. I had the Barramundi fish and seasoning was bland, and the fish gamey tasting with terrible flavor. (I should have known not to eat a fish I’d never heard of before.) My husband had the shrimp and seafood hoppin John which was just average in flavor and was mostly rice, which may be how it is supposed to be. Our server was good and friendly, but she never checked in to see how our meals were, and didn’t inquire when seeing my plate hardly touched. It was her favorite dish, so at the time I figured it was just me not liking it, so I didn’t mention it. I should have so they perhaps could have made sure nothing was wrong with the fish. Next time something is this bad I will definitely do that. We won’t return to this restaurant again though.

If guests' palates to not agree with our food, then we are always happy to accommodate and create a dish more pleasing to any individual. For reference, the barramundi is an Australian fish similar to flounder; farmed in coastal Florida. We typically serve four Fresh Catch fish if you are looking for something more local. We do hope you will consider visiting us again. - Ryan
I booked this reservation for my parents so they could enjoy a special dinner for their 45th wedding anniversary. As my Mother is fighting cancer, I wanted her to feel special and for them both to put aside their worries and enjoy each other. I called the morning of the reservation and spoke with Ryan who allowed me to pay for a surprise dessert to be delivered to their table that evening and requested, if all possible, a water view seat. Ryan was so kind and assured he would do what he could for the seating preference.
My parents dinner was amazing; the food, the service, the experience was perfect!! I cannot thank everyone enough at MCG for a very special treat for my parents who deserve so much happiness!!

This was not our first visit and will not be our last. The server was very attentive and polite despite the fact that it looked like she was working very hard and serving tables in more than one section. We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation and I am glad we did. The food took a little longer to get to us but it did not disappoint. The table view was picturesque
and the food was amazing.

Restaurant location is convenient but still had to wait on a table even though we had a reservation. It took 45 mins to get our appetizer and we had to find the waiter to get the entrees delivered. My fish was room temperature so not very appetizing. There are much better restaurants located only a mile or two away.

Food was fabulous. View of the water was pretty good from our table, but wish we had been seated by window. Waitress was adequate but not overly friendly.
Morgan Creek Grill has always been a favorite place to dine for our family. We love the view, excellent food choices, and of course, the service is always good. Great choice for a special occasion with family or friends, or just to have a drink and appetizers. You won't be disappointed.

As we had to close our Upper Deck for the hurricane season, we have had to make many changes that have been a lot of trial and error as we see what works and what doesn't. We think that since that weekend, we have found the right balance that will work for every area of our restaurant.
