Morevino Restaurant and Wine Bar
Craft cocktails and extensive wine list.
We are a scratch kitchen:
What is that you may be wondering.
Nothing beats a meal cooked entirely from scratch. The fresh ingredients, the rich flavors, the sounds and smells of food sizzling in a pan makes your mouth water. The whole experience brings out a sense of nostalgia of childhood meals at grandma's.
Everything we prepare requires our own special family recipes and that special culinary touch and love is shared with you at Morevino.
In that effort, we support local growers, farmers and the outdoor food market. The local flavor ensures quality ingredients and keeping our dishes local while preserving healthy, quality and superb dishes.

We enjoy everything about Morevino. Their food, wine list, service and ambience are
Had a nice dinner here. Wanted someplace a little quieter but they do have a back patio but the only problem is the bar next to it.
We had a lovely experience! A meal should be savored and the staff at Morevino makes that happen. Thank you from the Roberts family.
Morevino never disappoints!!
The food is great. the service is always good. They wine selection is second to none in the area.
This was my second visit to Morevino and I will be back. Excellent chef, staff and atmosphere!
The food was excellent and cane out hot which is unusual.
The wait time for our drink order was way too long. the noise level eas high as wait was hard to hear our friends at our table. a little pricey.
I would try it again though.
The food is fabulous. This was my 3rd time eating here and I do not live in Florida! I prefer to go early as they do have live music that can be loud but sometimes it is the perfect background noise. When I am in Ocala, I always make a point to stop here for a meal!
We had a great meal at Morevino. Our first time there but we will be back. I had the strip steak with the blue cheese crumbles. The steak was cooked to perfection and tender. My husband had the grouper and said it was excellent. Our server Paul was very helpful and took good care of us even as the restaurant got more crowded as the evening went on. Both the owner and his wife stopped by to see how we enjoyed our meal. You can tell that they care about the food, the wine and their customers.
We love Morevino! Brian, the owner and chef, always greets us with a smile and a kind word and that kindness is what you find in all of his staff. We had the pleasure to have Laurie wait on us and she also makes a the best Manhattans ever! The food is amazing. I had the veal chop special and it was excellent! I can’t say enough about this neighborhood gem!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. The service was excellent. The chef was wonderful along with all staff that came to our table. Very friendly and kind making sure you had a great experience. The food was delicious! We tried the spare ribs, chicken morevino and the burger along with their desserts. Truly wonderful!
We arrived 5-10 minutes before our reservation time. Staff told us that a table wasn't available, but we could wait at the bar and they would seat us. We noticed tables open, but we were a party of two and figured that we wouldn't be seated until a two seat table opened. After being at the bar 15 minutes we noticed other parties walking in and being seated, including a small group of 3 that was given the same large table that was open when we walked in. After a couple more minutes my patience ran out and I reminded the staff that we'd been waiting 20+ minutes. They shortly found us a table.
It took a long time to be waited on despite being not very busy, and seemingly plenty of staff around. Our order took longer than normal, which wouldn't typically be that annoying, but we had waited a while for a seat, and the chef had spent 10+ minutes chatting with customers.
The food was very average. Nothing wrong that would keep me from coming back, but nothing good enough to justify the experience we had that evening.
I know that 2021 has been a challenging time for small businesses and restaurants. I have a very high tolerance wait times, but even with this high tolerance I felt that we were basically forgotten or taken for granted that we wouldn't walk out.
Great place right on the square. Live entertainment was amazing. Pianist/singer was a great talent. Food and drinks well thought out and delicious. Will be our groups new go to place!
The attentiveness of the staff-perfect. The food-awesome. Love that the owner Brian comes out to say hello-outstanding. This is our new go to place. We recommend it to all our friends.
And a tractive stylish restaurant off the downtown Square. Went for the first time wonderful lunch and the wine selection was terrific. They had a nice little crowd and everything was top-notch. Highly recommend it
We were excited to try this restaurant after reading a recent write up. The décor and bread for the table were good. Then it went down hill.....It was loud, as there were several large parties going on, and it seemed like only one server. The food was cold and tasteless. The chef, who I think is one of the owners, came by and asked how our meal was. After telling him about the wrong prepared meals and cold food, we left out the tasteless part as we felt bad complaining, he simple looked at us and said thank you and walked away. We will not be going back.
We were looking to dining here but were greatly let down. I will say their wine list is good and that started well until we got our appetizer of conch fritters that had barely any conch and was soggy. They were more patties than fritters and were on a bed of sauce that seeped into the patties and taste wise they were bland. Dinner arrived and the eggplant special had large chunks of raw eggplant and was greatly missing salt and seasoning. The stuffed chicken was underwhelming with the prosciutto and cheese on top instead of stuffed and the cheese were two round slices that looked like it came out of a package, which is not appealing in a restaurant that says everything is from scratch. The worst part was when, I imagine the owner, came by and asked how was everything and we told him about the raw eggplant he asked if it was only one piece, we told him no all of it and he just looked at us and walked away without trying to fix the issue. We paid the full bill and left without even trying dessert. They get 2 stars because the waitress was nice and treated us well.
We experienced a warm welcome upon arrival and were seated promptly. Our server greeted us with a friendly smile. We enjoyed the lovely chandeliers and overall décor. Our food was fresh and visually appealing -- the fish was cooked perfectly and our salad tasted as if the greens were just picked. Our server and owner checked in on us during our meal to make sure we were pleased. Our party enjoyed our dining experience and I highly recommend Morevino.
Fantastic Restaurant - Food service and Owner / Chef Brian are simply outstanding
Upon arriving the host did not have our reservation - they prefer traditional call in reservations. This was booked for my fiancé’s bday and they only had tables outside. There were seats at the bar and I asked if we could sit there. The bartender was very absent minded and with only a handful of patrons kept repeating questions “ would you like something else” after we had already ordered and been waiting. Glasses and food was not cleared, plates were not provided for sharing, and the staff had a very hard time managing the bar. Overall the service was not something I would ever book for a special occasion- maybe a quick stop on a causal night. Very disappointing.
I wanted to like this place. Being a fan of locally owned establishments but I was really disappointed. It just underwhelmed on pretty much every level. It’s very lovely inside. But that’s kind of where the quality stops. The food was underwhelming and at times bad. Who serves ice cold mashed potatoes. These folks need a little meeting about what they want to be and how to get there - and it’s not with the food or the service or even the bar that they offer now.
It was very noisy and people at the bar butted up to our table. It was our anniversary dinner so not a real intimate place for that. Our server was so very nice but she was very busy. Food was very good and it was a special touch for the owner/chef to come talk to us.
Really friendly service. Delicious food. Chef came by to make sure everything was ok.
Excellent meal and a wonderful atmosphere! The charcuterie board was exceptional and served as plenty of appetizer for 6 people. All of our meals were really good
loved the place and will go back again, the food and wine were very good. the only complaint I had was that we waited 20 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order and another 10 minutes to get the glasses of wine. what irked us that they were not real busy and a number of other waiters continued to walk right by us and not even acknowledge we were there.
They have an amazing China Town Nachos: Sauteed Thai Chili Shrimp over Wonton Nachos finished with a Coconut Cream Sauce that we started with. So good! My husband and I shared the Seafood Risotto: Scallops, Shrimp and Salmon Risotto topped three-cheese blend. We enjoyed it. It was good, but not what I had expected. I thought it would be whole shrimp, scallops and pieces of salmon on top of the risotto, but everything was chopped up and mixed into the risotto. Had great flavor but was very heavy.
I brought a friend for dinner for her birthday. The service was a little slow from the bar, but the staff was so delightful. The chef came out snd talked with us. The food was incredible. I would definitely recommend.
We love dinning at Morevino's! It's small and very nice. The food is great! They have a great wine selection and wonderful cocktails. Chef Brian takes great pride in his food. He uses locally sourced meats and vegetables. When he is not in the kitchen, he makes the rounds through the dinning room and talks to everyone.
Very highly recommended!
We had the Grouper and Salmon. Totally excellent. Paul took very good care of us. Ambiance in restaurant is gorgeous. I cannot think of a single bad thing that happened. Hubby and I will become regulars here. This was our first visit but not our last.
This is a family owned restaurant that utilizes local fare for their meals. Desserts are made on the premises. Entrees include seafood, beef, pork and chicken dishes that are unique.
Ate there two nights in a row - had a blast - Chef came out both nights - food was amazing - deserts on point - would love bigger TVs but its not a bar
Great experience and great food.
Great venue but service was a bit unattentive. The chef was gracious and warm. The overall location is a great place for a night out.
My Wife and I took a friend here for dinner. Our first time here. What a great find.
Server was outstanding..extremely knowledgeable about the food. I had the Macadamia Crusted Grouper and it was excellent. My Wife and her friend had the Pesto Scallops and absolutely loved them. A very relaxing place with great food and lots of charm. We will definitely return.
This restaurant is exceptional, and the wine list is unique and fulfilling. The server was delightful and was informative on the menu items, ingredients and how the dishes are prepared. The food was super fresh and the menu had something for everyone. This will definitely be our restaurant of first choice! They even had some smooth live guitar music, which was unexpected and pleasant.
The food was fresh and very tasty. The service was friendly and professional.
This restaurant is a must! Food is fabulous and sourced from local farmers market. Reasonably priced. Wonderful wine and service. I will be eating here again!
The food and ambiance was great. Our server was new but she was not in the right profession. We were seated and it took awhile for the drink order. Once we got our drinks it was forever for her to get our order. Four other tables came in were waited on drank, ate and had desert paid and left before we got our meal. I had to get up and go over to the bar to get boxes for our left overs and had to ask the manager for our bill. The waitress needs to step up her game.
Visiting Ocala and so glad we chose Morevino! All our dishes were excellent, eggplant parmesan and authentic bolognese and pasta. Our grandson, celebrating his 11th birthday, enjoyed pasta alfredo and birthday dessert...cheesecake! Loved the decor and ambiance at Morevino.
Little diamond, great decor and wine selection. Food was prepared to our liking and large servings. Nice casual dining experience small scale.
The food and service was absolutely amazing. We ordered the China town nachos and the charcuterie. Both things were absolutely amazing. We went there on a very rare date night for me and my wife and we’re not disappointed. Will definitely be return customers.
