Morevino Restaurant and Wine Bar
Craft cocktails and extensive wine list.
We are a scratch kitchen:
What is that you may be wondering.
Nothing beats a meal cooked entirely from scratch. The fresh ingredients, the rich flavors, the sounds and smells of food sizzling in a pan makes your mouth water. The whole experience brings out a sense of nostalgia of childhood meals at grandma's.
Everything we prepare requires our own special family recipes and that special culinary touch and love is shared with you at Morevino.
In that effort, we support local growers, farmers and the outdoor food market. The local flavor ensures quality ingredients and keeping our dishes local while preserving healthy, quality and superb dishes.

Creative, tasty cooking at reasonable prices and great service
the meal and service was great. will go back again
Was a fun night. Service was great. Wine list very good.
The grouper was amazing! I'd definitely go back to have it again. Having the chef come out and ask how everything was, was also a nice touch
Happened across this little gem. Fantastic food. Creative flavors.
Premises were clean and neat. Staff was attentive and suggestive. Food was well prepared and arrived without delay.
We absolutely love this new gem in downtown Ocala! We started with an oyster sampler plate that was amazing! We could have eaten 2 dozen! They made us the best cocktails! Yumm and our entrees... Grouper and Short Rib... delicious! The service was great! The owner /chef was charming and we can’t wait to go back!
We had fantastic service. The chef came out to check on our satisfaction too. The special, seafood combo in a filo wrap, was phenomenal...we got it as an app and shared it...it was inhaled! Superb wine selection. Will be back.
Excellent service, fun atmosphere and great food!
Nice restaurant and the food is always good! Highly recommended!!
Did not order. Called about their white wines- years were too to drink. 2018!!! It’s 2021!!! So I brought my own. They say $25 corkage fee... too high for a dive bar. Saw a man parked out front in a Cadillac making himself puke- obviously over served. Then he drove off. Trashy place. Didn’t even wanna try the food. Place had plenty of reservations and empty tables, but lady acted like I was inconveniencing her. Go to MESA DENOTTE avoid this dive bar.
Great vibe with wonderful decor. Wine list is extensive and menu is really good. Food was excellent. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Everything we had here was great, including the service. My wife and I ate here for our anniversary. We checked the anniversary box on Open Table, and the hostess who greeted us welcomed us with Happy Anniversary. We also received a complimentary dessert of our choice with our meal, and it was excellent! Great place.
Excellent food and service.
Great hosts food was phenomenal!
Amazing food, the best salad dressing a tarragon vinaigrette.....everything perfect
Beautiful location, top-notch service and food! We stumbled across this charming place by accident while on vacation and are so glad we did! Highly recommend!!
I thought it was going to start off really bad the hostess/manager/all the other things she was complaining about that she did person, told us we had no reservation when we made it on open table that she did not have the time to check OpenTable she was too busy. We sat at the bar in shortly we were given a table from then on it was great once we didn’t have to deal with her anymore should get a better person to greet your guests
The crab cake appetizer is very good and a huge serving. We also enjoyed our main entrees. We were leaning more to comfort type food. The meatballs were delicious and the Chicken Morevino was very good.
Great food, first time eating here, my wife and I loved it! I would highly recommend Morovino
The physical interior space is well designed and attractive. The menu has a modest variety of dishes, some of which are unique. The wine list is very adequate and has one of our favorites, not widely found, Anne Amie Pinot Noir. The good is very good.
Morevino presents high quality food. The inside atmosphere is gorgeous but due to Covid we ate outside which was quiet and safe among their herb garden. The chef greeted us and it was easy to see how proud he was of this establishment/food. Our server was delightful and attended to each request.
The food options here are creative and excellent, definitely recommend!
Our server was new but did an excellent job. the chef came out and met everyone at some point of the evening. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was on point weather you were there to watch the game or a romantic dinner. What a versatile restaurant .....classy and still felt like comfortable. I will be going back again very soon.
Very nice service but rather plain food. Ok wine. Good dessert.
the food was great but the waitress was not- took 30 mins to get a glass of wine- ironic
We made a reservation and when we arrived our table was already set and ready with waters. The start of our service was a little slow getting drinks but things picked up quickly. The food was great. The wine prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and fun. The ambiance was beautiful. We had an enjoyable family get together
Booked a NYE table for 2 on OpenTable. They called the next day saying they could not accommodate unless we sat outside. We were fine with that- weather was supposed to be mild. We arrived and the inside of the restaurant is decorated beautifully with chandeliers, wine bottles, and nice decor. The hostess takes us down the back hallway (into kitchen and waitstaff area) onto the back porch. The porch was small, but cozy and held about 4 tables. My complaint is that they spent NO time or efforts trying to create any ambiance outside. We were sitting next to a pile of stacked chairs, a bicycle, and it definitely felt like an afterthought of adding some blue lights outside. Mind you , we were paying $90 a person to sit out there. One of the cooks kept coming in and out slamming the door so he could go smoke 10 feet from the porch. Our waiter was nice enough but would literally disappear for 20+ minutes at a time so we would have to ask other waitresses to help us or to get what we needed. Food was good but not $90 worth. Bread was lifeless and not worth the calories. (Boyfriend said the focaccia tasted like pizza.) He had the seafood risotto and said it was good. I had the angel hair pasta with salmon. Salmon was burnt and pasta was a but flavorless, but after adding some salt and pepper it was decent. Boyfriend said he kept feeling like we were being rushed to the next course so they could seat others. We ordered another bottle of wine during dinner and then had after dinner cocktails with our dessert. Dessert was tasty. Overall, the level of this restaurant if you are going to force people outside at least make it look like an extension of the restaurant and not an afterthought where you throw broken chairs and park bicycles. Add some candles, or ambiance-maybe put a few shelves up on that main wall and add wine bottles. Put up a chandelier. I don't think its too much to ask when our bill was around $300 for 2 people.
Service was attentive, food arrived quickly. It was a great place to kick off our New Years Eve celebration.
NYE dinner was wonderful!!
Hostess was a little rude. We had updated our party reservation on open table but they had written it down as 4 and weren’t using the open table app. Luckily they were still be able to seat us. Our server was wonderful- the music was a little loud but he turned it down for us. Food was wonderful!
Morevino was such a great surprise for our first time visiting them. Super friendly with great food and drink choices!
Went to one of my favorite restaurants, Morevinos. Had a seven pm reservation for April 17. We arrived at the restaurant and a couple ahead of us was seated at the last table. They didn’t have a reservation. We were told that we could sit at the bar or a high top table only. My wife has trouble sitting on high stools. We left and were very upset. Previously we have gone to morevinos at least 10 times and were regulars. I told the owner chef that we were very disappointed and he blamed open table and offered us no compensation. Needless to say we won’t be back
The Chef is very personable and knowledgeable. Steaks were cooked perfectly, very fresh ingredients!
Morevino is awesome. Every time my wife and I have been the food has been amazing. Never disappointed with food, service or noise level. Very respectful. A good variety of food
Morevino NEVER disappoints! Came here with my boyfriend after walking around Ocala's First Friday Art Walk. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine, some crab cakes for an appetizer, and the seafood risotto (on special) and the New York strip. We love that the owner always comes around to every table to chat and to check on his customers. Great food, great wine, and a great atmosphere.
Not just wine . Spectacular fresh food! Everything is perfectly seasoned .... always a great meal.
We had gone for a dinner and wi e with friends on a Saturday night. At 8:30 they started cleaning. The did t serve us our wine with dinner as ordered. We inquired and decided to order a bottle after dinner...they pushed us out at 9. They locked the doors and turned out the lights as we left...at 9...the times on the storefront wi Dow stayed open until 11:30 Saturdays.
First time visiting this establishment and it did not disappoint! Prompt, friendly service that was followed by a great quality dining experience. Chef even took time to come out and greet each table of guests. I will definitely be back when in Ocala and would highly recommend if you are looking for a great time!
Had a wonderful date night at Morevino's. Chef Brian came out and greated us personally, suggest wines and even waved when we saw him at the farmers market the next morning. Hurley was fantastic, explaining all the menus options and even gave us some local ideas for parks. The food was amazing (local filets and wellington that just melts in your mouth) and the bruschetta was out of this world. Very quickly became one of our favorite places in Ocala
