Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria - Morton Grove
The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed.
We thought this place looked good, the parking lot is always full, so definitely a place we wanted to try.
The service is good, I felt horrible for my server because we had to send back drinks to the bar, then the food was worse. I wasn't expecting the most expensive liquor based on drink prices, but the two different cocktails tasted like rubbing alcohol-not a good sign I could not drink them or get the taste out of my mouth.. I ordered Brick chicken which is listed as a house specialty. Th potatoes were ice cold on my plate & not fully cooked. Th echciken tasked like it had been re-heated many times. It was the texture of leather, it was very dry, super salty, inedible. My husband ordered lasagna, it tasted like a frozen meal, the noodle texture was odd, it was lukewarm. My son ordered a pizza that was cardboard like. It all tasted like a very cheap frozen meal out of boxes, very salty, the only fresh thing was the salad that tased like a premixed bag salad from the grocery store with frozen shredded cheese.
The food quality is bad for any restaurant & the drinks are not good enough to be a bar. We left our leftovers that we told the waitress we did nit want & she brought them anyway. $100 on a meal & we all left hungry & disappointed.
Not impressed that we have to ask for water several times; that bread is no longer automatically brought to the table. Services keep diminishing and prices keep in creasing.
There was no Hostess to seat us upon arrival. The bartender seemed to have seen us , yet did not acknowledge us. Finally got a table, only to wait over 5 minutes before the waiter came. He said they were rotating tables and he didn’t know it was his turn. The steak I ordered had to be sent back, it was overcooked . Mediocre food at best, and service leaves a lot to be desired.
Service continues to be subpar. We were seated and waited over 15 minutes with no server coming to our table. We finally asked the bartender if we had a server. She went in back and found someone. This has happened multiple times visiting this location. I’m not sure where the problem stems from, but I would guess the lack of management. Servers and managers seem to hide in the kitchen. They do not walk the floor making sure their customers aren’t in need of anything.
The risotto special was a little watery. It was very loud in there and the waitress could hardly hear us.
My 2 young grandchildren dined with me. Their kids menu choices were perfect for them.
Because they were out of the short rib ravioli (my favorite) I ordered cheese ravioli which was delicious but less filling than the meat version. Our server was excellent.
A great spot to grab a meal and watch sports. There are a few too many screens for my taste if you are not going to watch an event, but the food is solid. I'd even say the food is much better than I expected. It's not your typical bar food. Salads were fresh and tasty. Brick chicken was delicious.
Food was great!. Service was not. Server was very nice -- but it took 45 minutes for appetitzers to get to the table. Then there were several mistakes with items ordered. We came for a birthday celebration for myself and my son -- son had to leave with his wife and two young childre before dessert because it was SO late. The place was not crowded -- so I don't understand why food was so slow in coming out!
Service continues to be an issue at this location. Slow, inattentive service. We needed to ask a manager for our check after our server failed to bring it after 25 minutes. She never came by to see if we needed anything or to refill our drinks.
Excellent pizza and a great salad!
Our waitress was great very friendly very helpful. The food was very good and very reasonable. I really enjoyed this place and I will definitely be back.
Food and prices were very good
Brusccetta was really great as was the pizza.
Our server, Juan, was great. Attentive and very personable!
Delicious dinner with 2 of my grandchildren. Our server, Joe, was attentive but not intrusive. A very enjoyable dining experience!
Service and reception experience was horrible
Service was not good, forgot a beverage and charged us, didn’t bring a birthday dessert when I said on my reservation we were there for a birthday, overall I think the waiter wanted to leave, asked for bread and he brought it after the meal was served
They were great and open on Christmas. Food variety is great as is the pizza. Really enjoyed it
canceled on me last minute me and my entire family and friends super professional
4 of us tred pan pizza first time at Morettis. We all prefer the thin crust...sauce and sausage was different. Not bad but not as flavorful as the thin.
The meal was not up to the standards of Moretti's. Vegetables were not cooked, potatoes were very dry but the meat was acceptable. Partners fish was not as good as it could have been.
Holiday parties and Sunday night football! Expected lots of noise but could still carry on a conversation. Grilled calamari is outstanding!
We were celebrating our sons 7th birthday and he really wanted to build his own kids pizza, something offered on the menu. The pizza came already made and we asked the server about it and she said since there was a big party, the kitchen just made it for him. That’s NOT what we asked for. Had we known, we would have just had him eat our XL pizza instead of paying for an additional. I wish she would have given us the option to substitute the build your own or ask us if it was ok to do it that way. He was really looking forward to building it in his birthday but it didn’t work out.
Great service and great pizza. Minestrone soup was very good also.
First time we have boon to Moretti's in Morton Grove. It's a nice looking place. We had a group of 7 and were put in a back room of other large groups. There was a table of about 20 people and another table of around 7. There seemed to be only 2 servers for all of the tables, so service was very slow. We really had to track down a server for everything we wanted. The food was somewhat tasteless. My wife had lasagna which had no flavor. Other couple had a pizza which they felt also had no flavor. Wen don't blame the servers. This is a management issue. We may give it one more try.
food was excellent and service was great! ordered the beef tenderloin and cheeseburger. calamari was good but not enough to feed 4 people. order was very small.
Pizza and salad was outstanding.
Service was slow and the restaurant was freezing!
This was my very first visit and I am happy that I stopped. The food was great and the service too notch
Overall service and quality was great
A wonderful Thanksgiving lunch! Tasty food, good portions and prices with friendly service!
Always a good time, with great gluten free options and fun atmosphere
a great place to dine. family friendly too. food and service is excellent!
Great waitress and always great food!
Ordered lasagna with meat sauce. Was room temp. They replaced it however it had marinara sauce. Was late so I was not going to send it back. Food was good and they tried to make it right.
Our pizza, especially, was delicious. Everyone in our party liked it all. Our server was terrific. We went on a Saturday evening early and screaming kids were a factor as was a woman whose laugh was so forced we were laughing!
The waitress was very attentive! The food was very good!
Our server, Juan, was terrific. Pizza was great as usual. Fried calamari was a bit fishy and rubbery.
We waited for 15 minutes no server gave us the time of day so we left. No one questioned where we were going. The hostess that sat us wished us a good evening.
Love the place. A bit loud for carrying on conversations, but definitely would recommend to others and will be back!
