Servers were overwhelmed, food didn’t come out as ordered, we sat outside next to a draining cooler which smelled terrible. Understandably it was a warm evening and staff may not have expected so many outdoor diners however it was not busy enough to be that disorganized. We’ve tried this Morettis a couple times giving them the benefit of the doubt but we have yet to have a good experience.
The service is always terrible, but they have a nice outdoor seating area. The food is okay, but priced a little high. I have had the same server three times and each time, she drops the food and from then on, you have to wave her down to get refills, silverware, your check, the credit card ran.....It's frustrating. We were there for 2 hours when it should have been a quick dinner. But we had to wait for EEEVVEEERRRRR for each stage of dining.
The waitress could’ve paid a little more attention to us.
Food was pretty terrible as was the service. Nothing like the original in Edison park
Big restaurant with a big menu and plenty of specialty food and drinks. Well Spaced seating.
Service was very good but I was not confident that all COVID 19 protocol were followed. A number of tables did not look properly distanced from each other including where my party sat. People at booths were not separated either. Two of our meals were very good. One was bland. Server did a very good job.
I will probably not return to eat indoors for quite a while.
We have been to Moretti's a couple times now and the food has always been a good value. Unfortunately, we can't say the conditions in the restaurant were what we expected. There was virtually no adherence to the CDC guidelines for social distancing. The staff did wear masks. The restaurant did attempt to reproduce its menu (six pages worth) onto one side of an 8.5" by 14" piece of paper. Unfortunately, in order to do this, the font size needed makes it almost unreadable under the brightest lighting conditions. In the dim lighting they were using, then it was a definite no go. The menu is available online, which does allow you to get around that issue.
In short, bring an appetite, a smartphone and a flashlight.
Restaurant appeared to be understaffed or our server Zuzu simply was not keeping up. 15 minutes after being seated and going to the bar asking if we had a server, Zuzu showed up. Sadly we watched our drinks sit at the bar waiting for Zuzu to collect them. Decided to get them myself. Repeat multiple times 🤬
Food was good. Service was slow. Restaurant was clean and following covid rules.
food and service were very good, as usual. We wanted a booth so they put us in the bar section and it was a little noisy, but that's to be expected. Unlike their other restaurant in Edison Park, there is lots of free parking available.
Nice neighborhood please
Salah was a great server. Food came fast. Sprouts were salty but I still ate them up!
Great food great ambiance
Great food, value and good service was experienced by all.
This is one of our favorite places for good Italian with quick service. Decent wine choices. Prices are great. Maun is large with a special daily menu. It will be even better when the outdoor patio is fully functional. Bands on Friday and Saturday. Wife had chicken disk, while I had Widowmaker cheeseburger for the first time. Most excellent. Highly recommend.
Moretti's never disappoints us! The food is always amazing! We had a special appetizer of baked, stuffed jalepenos, which was outstanding. It was fresh, different and very tasty! My favorite salad is the burrata with heirloom tomatoes. The combination of olives, pesto, avocado is incredible. And, I added grilled shrimp. Yum! My boyfriend had the chicken parmesan which is his favorite.
Our server this time was Zuzu; she was very attentive, friendly, and efficient!
Don’t ever get rid of the Brussels sprouts! Our server was great. Hostess may need a reminder about remaining socially distant and keeping her mask on.
I love Moretti’s, food is always good. Sad they no longer have the goat cheese dip!
Adorable, friendly local reliable place. Great atmosphere, good food.
Xmas eve! A tradition to eat out.
Felt very safe!
Moretti’s is always dependably good Italian food, and it’s particularly nice that the Morton Grove location was open during CoViD-19. We’ve been there before, and will be back many times.
Quiet afternoon lunch...
I made reservations and when we got there we waited for a bit before the waitress came to our table but there was barely any people there so we were confused on why the wait. Then they sat a big family next to our table which made us uncomfortable considering the social distance protocol and when we brought it up the guy server said “it is what it is”
He was rude and then our food came in and was poorly served and missing the extra stuff we had requested so we had to wait again until they brought our food out and we never got our water or condiments.
Poor service overall and the staff was incredibly rude.
Will no dine there again and will not host Christmas parties or business dinners there either. They lost a customer and big client.
Thanks for staying open!
Pleasantly surprised that this location was open for indoor dining. Felt comfortable and safe and enjoyed our pizza. Service and overall experience was on point!
Food was great as usual. However, I am very curious as to why indoor seating was open. I came with the expectation that only the outdoor seating was open. Isn't all indoor seating closed in Illinois?
Excellent!!!
Moretti’s is a great casual place, and a decent value on top of that! Their thin-crust pizzas are particularly good, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. If you haven’t tried them, you’re really depriving yourself!
Food and service was,as usual, very good!
I am a big fan of Morettis and a regular diner. I have come to Morton Grove on several occasions now with the hopes it will be as good as it was when they first opened. Unfortunately it has yet to happen, in fact last night was the worst, the hostess through down the menu and silverware on the table at us. The waitress paid little to attention to us and never checked back our food was delivered which was not cooked correctly. They made us a corrected sandwich but, I have given up on Morton Grove. I will continue going to Edison Park and Rosemont!
The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed.
We thought this place looked good, the parking lot is always full, so definitely a place we wanted to try.
The service is good, I felt horrible for my server because we had to send back drinks to the bar, then the food was worse. I wasn't expecting the most expensive liquor based on drink prices, but the two different cocktails tasted like rubbing alcohol-not a good sign I could not drink them or get the taste out of my mouth.. I ordered Brick chicken which is listed as a house specialty. Th potatoes were ice cold on my plate & not fully cooked. Th echciken tasked like it had been re-heated many times. It was the texture of leather, it was very dry, super salty, inedible. My husband ordered lasagna, it tasted like a frozen meal, the noodle texture was odd, it was lukewarm. My son ordered a pizza that was cardboard like. It all tasted like a very cheap frozen meal out of boxes, very salty, the only fresh thing was the salad that tased like a premixed bag salad from the grocery store with frozen shredded cheese.
The food quality is bad for any restaurant & the drinks are not good enough to be a bar. We left our leftovers that we told the waitress we did nit want & she brought them anyway. $100 on a meal & we all left hungry & disappointed.
Not impressed that we have to ask for water several times; that bread is no longer automatically brought to the table. Services keep diminishing and prices keep in creasing.
There was no Hostess to seat us upon arrival. The bartender seemed to have seen us , yet did not acknowledge us. Finally got a table, only to wait over 5 minutes before the waiter came. He said they were rotating tables and he didn’t know it was his turn. The steak I ordered had to be sent back, it was overcooked . Mediocre food at best, and service leaves a lot to be desired.
Service continues to be subpar. We were seated and waited over 15 minutes with no server coming to our table. We finally asked the bartender if we had a server. She went in back and found someone. This has happened multiple times visiting this location. I’m not sure where the problem stems from, but I would guess the lack of management. Servers and managers seem to hide in the kitchen. They do not walk the floor making sure their customers aren’t in need of anything.
The risotto special was a little watery. It was very loud in there and the waitress could hardly hear us.
My 2 young grandchildren dined with me. Their kids menu choices were perfect for them.
Because they were out of the short rib ravioli (my favorite) I ordered cheese ravioli which was delicious but less filling than the meat version. Our server was excellent.
A great spot to grab a meal and watch sports. There are a few too many screens for my taste if you are not going to watch an event, but the food is solid. I'd even say the food is much better than I expected. It's not your typical bar food. Salads were fresh and tasty. Brick chicken was delicious.
Food was great!. Service was not. Server was very nice -- but it took 45 minutes for appetitzers to get to the table. Then there were several mistakes with items ordered. We came for a birthday celebration for myself and my son -- son had to leave with his wife and two young childre before dessert because it was SO late. The place was not crowded -- so I don't understand why food was so slow in coming out!
Service continues to be an issue at this location. Slow, inattentive service. We needed to ask a manager for our check after our server failed to bring it after 25 minutes. She never came by to see if we needed anything or to refill our drinks.
