Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria - Morton Grove
Dined on patio enjoying nice weather in a pleasant setting. Pizza as good as always.
Very disappointed in the quality of the food. It was bland and tasteless. I will not return.
i thought the food was fair and the service was poor
Our waiter was great. Was very attentive without being a bother. We tried to get the points for our meal, but I was having trouble because I already had an account with my app. He tried his best several times with the computer. I eventually connected through my profile on my computer when I got home. Wish I would have gotten credit for the meal though.
Best deep dish around. Always delicious. Great salads and desserts. Fun environment and fair seating system Don't forget to preorder!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner this past weekend at Moretti's, thank you. We met the head server at this location, Michael Jan Dysangco, and from now on will always request Michael. Michael was excellent!
Good food but the service could use some work. Seems like the staff are all very young and they could use some training on how to properly wait on tables. With a little work, they could increase the $$$ on the checks for the restaurant which in turn will get them larger tips.
The early bird was good value.
Service continues to decline.
Food was barely edible. noise level unbearable and service mediocre at best by a waitress more interested in chatting up the drunk at the next table who was trying to put a move on both her and the date he was with.
Relatives in town from Boston
Our waitress was so bad we couldn’t believe it! We asked if she was new and was told by the manager,”no”. It was a comedy of errors- ordered a Smirnoff vodka/tonic and she came back letting us know that Moretti’s only had Smirnoff Vanilla, had to request bread, when she brought it- the butter fell into my brother’s drink, we wiped up the butter on the table, she brought the check before everyone was finished. It must have been the full moon. Not even my brother’s drink was comped. Can’t wait to tell my fellow teachers about this. We will have a good laugh. Nothing like this has ever happened at Moretti’s and it was not busy!
Food was great, but for an Italian restaurant not having veal has left me scratching my head!
Had a great server, Ann, and great food.
Food was just average. Very limited liquor selection.
Food was really good and the service outstanding! However the pasta dishes seemed a bit pricey for the type of restaurant Moretti's is.
Server was very nice however a little on the slow side
Yes he was busy but it took a while to get drinks and I asked for the sauce on the side (no sauce) on my chicken wings and after waiting a long time they got it wrong. really!!! So the manager ordered again. Anyways dinner was delicious
Will definitely go back, just bummed. No big deal in the Scheme of things
We always have great meal and the garden is fabulous! The Froze is amazing!!
Good food and a fun atmosphere on a busy Saturday evening. Many large groups seated around us and two private parties on each side of the dining room created a very energetic noise level. Lots of singing and sparkling desserts. Since we were with two children, they enjoyed all the celebrations going on. We received one extra pizza than we had ordered, and of course it was included on our bill. One child ordered the "make you own pizza" and she was served a small cheese pizza first and then the "make your own pizza" was brought out as well. Not sure how that happened, but we took home extra leftovers which we enjoyed the next day.
Terrible service! Had to ask for plates, silverware, and napkins 4 times after they brought us our appetizers. Forgot to put one of our entrees in the computer. One salad had way too much dressing on it. Didn’t comp us on anything.
Graduation and birthday
This was our 2nd visit to this location and was very good. The food was good and our server took care of use quite well. We were originally a party of 7, then we turned into a party of 10. We will be back again.
Seafood is delicious！
This restaurant was good and most of the staff was great with the exception of the host named Kayla. She was not a friendly person. A host is the first point of contact when you walk in a restaurant and there should be someone very friendly and nice, she was not.
Our server was great as was the food.
Great place and the view of the forest preserves when you are dining out is very nice. Always have great food at Moretti's.
I have been to Moretti's several times, so was a bit disappointed. First off, made a reservation on Open Table a week in advance and was told we could only sit at a high top or have to wait 30 minutes. To me, sitting at a high top in the bar area is not a reserved table. Our waiter was clueless, perhaps he was new, but poorly trained. Could not answer basic menu questions and was not very familiar with drinks from the bar. The noise level was also bad, which made catching up with a friend from grade school that I had not seen for a year pretty tough (very difficult to carry on a conversation). Will make me think twice about returning to this location.
Great atmosphere we sat outside on patio with live music. They were busy so service wasn’t the best. They forgot several items we ordered including the salads before our entree. They did comp us for them. Enter Food just ok next time will try pizza.
We always have a good
Meal! There outdoor seating is the best! All that’s missing is an acoustic guitar player😉
Pizza at it's best!
Great place! I’ve only had burgers, pizza and pasta there- all excellent! The prices are fair, portions are very generous. The servers are friendly and efficient no matter how busy they are. I highly recommend Moretti’s!
Enjoyed the experience. Server was very good
We dined at Moretti's 2 days (Sun. & Mon.) in a row. Both nights we had very slow service. The only reason we went back was because the Grouper special my husband had the 1st day, was excellent. We figured the slow service we had the 1st day was because it was a Sun. and the banquet room had a party going on.
As it turned out, the service the 2nd day (Mon.) was far worse than the 1st day, even though banquet room was not being used that day. Once seated, we waited 9 minutes before being approached by anyone (no water, no bread, nothing). Once greeted by our waitress, we immediately ordered our entire meal (2 Grouper specials, 1 small Caesars side salad, 2 glasses of wine). It took 11 minutes before our waitress returned. In her hand was a small house salad. She asked "Did you request the ranch dressing on the side?" I told her we had ordered a small Caesar salad. She apologized and took the house salad with her. Approx. 5-6 minutes later, another employee came to the table and delivered the small Caesar salad. At this point, we still had no water, no bread, no wine. When the waitress returned, we asked for water and bread. She informed us that the bread is $1.00. I said "Oh, we were here last night and bread was brought to our table at no-charge." Waitress then got a bit snippy and said "Well, I will bring you bread but it is $1.00". When the bread arrived, so did the water. Within 2 forks of salad, the entree arrived. Young man dropped the plates so quickly and ran away, that I didn't even get to tell him we still did not have our wine. After we started eating, our waitress returned to check on us. We told her we still did not have wine. She said she would get it and did return quickly with it.
Regarding the 1st day; Waiter wanted to charge me 50 cents for the sauce that was in the description of my sandwich, even though he agreed it was listed in the description listed on the menu!
Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this restaurant!
Nice outdoor patio and food is old school Italian.
Not happy with waitress we had..sat outside which was great but she brought my sister wrong drink then brought her dinner salad and never brought her dinner till we got a hold of manager.the rest of us had our dinner 10 minutes already and hers was just a wrap. had this waitress before and she screws up every time and always blames other staff.. was very disappointed
Love the pizza and fried calamari. Server, Ali, was great!
Food is good, but the service is terrible. Some food never arrived (we had to ask for it).
We went for lunch. The waiter was efficient and cordial but the food took quite a while to arrive. I only had soup and salad ($9.99); the minestrone soup was good.
Good sports bar food and atmosphere. I liked the cracker thin crust pizza and the tenderloin sliders were good. We sent the spinach back as too salty but they made a fresh batch and it was fine. The noise level left it unfriendly to conversation.
Great as usual!
