Morella celebrates the gastronomic influences that immigrants from European countries, particularly Spain and Italy, had on Argentinian cuisine in the decades following the mass migrations at the turn of the 20th century. Morella features traditional empanadas, wood-smoked meats, pastas and internationally inspired drinks — all meant to be enjoyed in a bright convivial space.

Our name, Morella, is a derivative of the word Morel, the earthy, nutty, and rare mushroom that is prized by chefs and restaurant connoisseurs, and is featured selectively in our menu who cousins make appearances in our vibrant decor.

We love the decor and ambience! Everyone is very nice, but the service can be slow and some of the dishes are a little odd. We enjoy going there though.

Arancini-too crispy, too small, too expensive Caprese salad-Ok-but strange-over priced Pasta's- average Ribeye and Lamb-Good, well cooked-overpriced Creamed Spinach-Ok Broccolini-good Garlic bread-4 partial slices of bread, burnt toast, no garlic--a joke Cannolis-ok-a nice bite for 4 people but -overpriced Wine-good-well priced Howler-strange-overpriced

What a wondrous and welcome rework/remodel of what for years has been an unusual restaurant space. Post remodel, it's now an open, airy and very fun room, and we really enjoyed our evening at Morella. Our cocktails were fantastic and although the starters (empanadas and arancini) were underwhelming, the lamb chops more than made up for them. The lamb was grilled to perfection and, we both agreed, quite possibly the best ever. We'll definitely be back.

We had a delicious meal and entertaining visit for a friend's birthday BUT... We had to wait over 30 minutes before a regular server appeared at our 6:15PMseating THEN... After paying the pricey bill (almost $400), we were asked to leave by the manager at 8:15PM. BTW - We were getting ready to leave too. This was very rude, inconsiderate and very unprofessional. It ruined our fine evening. I know there is often a 2 hour seating for host to manage tables but this is was not told to us or written anywhere PLUS the first over 30 minutes we had to keep flagging down for any service. What an incredibly stupid way to run a business with all the competition on Chestnut street. Please train your staff and especially your young inexperienced manager!! We will NOT return again (This was our second visit in 3 months) + we will spread the word of this inconsiderate behavor to paying customers. Learn how to run a successful business - The customer is always right!

First time at Morella and thoroughly enjoyed our night. It was a little loud but the food and service was great. Will be back for sure

Amazing pick for a special date celebration! This restaurant is beautiful, very spacious and has a chill vibe - exactly what you need for a date night. We didn’t try Argentinian options but were very happy with lamb papardelle bolognese and house burger. The cocktails were really good too. Service was fast and not annoying. Planning on coming back for more Argentinian foods

A very well decorated space. The food was fantastic, however, the service here was almost laughable. The condescension from some of the staff has deterred me and my party from ever eating here again.

Server and service was very good. My drink started off very good but after a fee orders it became very syrupy. Charcuterie board was not good but very very experience.
