Mordeo Boutique Wine Bar
Our journey began when three dreamers: Chef Khai Vu, a restaurateur, Brandon DetVo, designer & corporate finance guy and me, Luis de Santos, master sommelier & sake expert, sat down one summer afternoon in 2017. Why not create a concept from the best memories of our travels while in Barcelona. Our inspiration came from the counter seatings of food bars in the famous La Boqueria. Armed with over 40+ years of combined hospitality and operational experiences, we bring you Mordeo Boutique Wine Bar!
We celebrated our anniversary and best place to do that! We started with the Iberico De Bellota with La Tur aka sexy cheese and it was FANTASTIC! The blend of the 3 milk cheese is a fantastic idea! Oysters phenomenal! Super clean and great tasting! The vieras con Iberico amazing scallops! Then we did the tomahawk! To me better than the Japanese A5 at Gordon Ramsey steak house! Then who would think that ice cream with caviar would taste like salted caramel! Amazing! Good job Mordeo!
This is a great and unique dining experience for Las Vegas. Most of the food dishes are very light and well presented. I thought that the wine and beer prices were very reasonable for a wine bar and had a selection of every budget. The bar seating is very cramped and you are sitting extremely close to the people next to you but it also promotes interaction and meeting new people. If you don't want to talk to your neighbor then it may not be for you but this is our second visit and plan to go back.
The interior design is a little miss matched and kind of dated for my taste. The food was OK. Kind of forgettable. The crab bites had absolutely no flavor. It was odd that they were really into serving Spanish cured meats but wouldn’t serve Spanish cheeses. Really their choices for pairings with meats and cheeses. Some of the dishes are considerably overpriced for what you get. There is one cheese dish we tried that was basically just a glob of mixed soft cheeses that were so sour that the honey on top of it didn’t even balance it out. I could go on. It just wasn’t that great of an experience.. It wasn’t enough to make me go back
Service was top notch. Wine and food prices were equal to the Strip. This is Chinatown on West Spring Mountain, not the Strip. Thought wine selection lacked in the Spanish wine department. Got extremely noisy and made it impossible to converse without shouting. I guess we're too old for that. It's great that this fills a void in the wine world in Las Vegas but I'm afraid the prices will keep us from returning.
A wonderfully out-of-the-way stop for a delicious collection of small bites during happy hour (2nd drink half price). If you want to be part of the kitchen action, ask for seating at the counter behind the shelf of wines. The wine selection appears outstanding. When we were there early on a Tuesday evening the owner was sampling offerings from a couple slick wine reps. He obviously had high standards; I don't think any of the products were up to his standards.

Great food and wine selection. Loved everything about our dinner experience. Perfect spot for a date!
It was great. We unfortunately, didn’t like one of the dishes but they graciously took it back and didn’t charge us for it.
Sangrias are amazing and typically, I don't like sangria! They have a happy hour 5-7 with small plates to try. The small plates were maybe a little too exotic for us but the entrees and desserts are an absolute must! Delish!!! We'll be back :-)
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful meal at Mordeo! Everything was delicious and the service was outstanding! I will definitely go back, it will be my new go to place!
The food was absolutely delicious! They don’t offer non-alcoholic drinks yet, but even with that in mind, the experience was great! I will definitely be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Great staff. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. We sampled several wines before making our decision. They walked us through the menu and their recommendations were spot on. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. The co-owner spoke with us for 10 minutes, so we got to hear about the history of the restaurant as well as the ownership team. We definitely recommend Mordeo and will go back next time in Las Vegas!
This what great everyone on staff made you feel like you were at their house for dinner. We will fly back to Vegas just to eat there again
A must try! Food, service is all on point!
One of our best experiences in a long time!
Good food, wine and atmosphere. I would return for a date night with my lady forsure.
Amazing food items, well done
Beet salad, king crab bites, Norwegian giant shrimp and patatas bravas all delicious. Only thing that we didn’t love was the mushroom skewer. We will be back
It was my 4th time at Mordeo and it never dissappoints, great food, great service and Luis the owner is really amazing. Will go back for sure.
Excellent tapas and Sangria white or red. We tried the sampler dish called Dame Todos which had a bit of everything. My favorites were the goat cheese and fig, polenta spoon, Grilled Nigerian Prawn and this awesome dessert called Affogato. OMG!!!!! If you are a coffee lover then this is for you. The servers were very attentive as well as the owner Brandon who came over and introduced himself. The ambiance has a Upper Manhattan vibe, very upscale. Mostly bar seating and you are limited to conversations on your right and left. Few tables that are always reserved. Extensive wine list. I will definitely become a regular. I highly recommend. Decent parking
What a great restaurant!
The food and service plus the ambiance is awesome!
Great service and the food was amazing. The taste and presentation were off the chart!
Great variety and delicious food options for us pescetarians! Wine list has many options too.
Not a place for business meeting
Good service, excellent food
What a great spot for drinking wine and enjoying some unique dishes with friends! Great ambiance. I highly recommend it! The place is small and most of their seating is a the bar, so if you want a table, I suggest a reservation.
Great Food and service. Cool hip vibe and ownership onsite. Very attentive wait staff and a superb offering of entrees! Wow - you must go and try for yourself! The octopus was outstanding.
Great experience! Fun atmosphere and wonderful food! A must go!
Enjoyed overall experience. Steak was very tasty however it was overpriced. Our server misordered the count of bite food and it was too late to reorder as social hour was over.
Excellent service, delicious food, good times all around.
Very nice decor excellent service and food was delicious and beautifully plated.
Two visits in the past month and I still want MOR(deo). You like food? You like wine?? You'll be all over this unique blend of Spanish/Asian cuisine brought to the masses by District One's Khai Vu and Master Sommelier Louis de Santos. There's nothing else like it in the city right now.
"Grilled Nigerian Prawn U3" with lobster roe butter and lime zest is totally worth the $24 and looks like the spawn of shrimp and lobster after a marathon sex romp. Big, juicy and insanely delicious; you'd be doing a huge disservice to yourself by ignoring the amazing flavor in the prawn head. This was one of several moments where I wondered "Where da rice at?"
My favorite side dish is undoubtedly "Hongos Silvestes". Sometimes simple is best and that mix of wild mushroom, garlic and egg yolk is crazy good. The selection of yakitori is not to be missed either with standouts including the luscious ocean trout skewer and the stunning king trumpet with brown butter and sea salt.
And to top it all off, one of their current specials are the NY Strip, ribeye and tomahawk steaks all originating from a special meat locker from a beloved and recently closed Strip restaurant at pretty much half price of what it was going for. I knew instantly from the very first bite and was in total shock that they had them! Chef Vu is cooking them over binchotan (Japanese charcoal), which offers a nice twist to what I've been used to for years.
My only gripe is the lack of group friendly seating options. The first visit was with a party of 6 at the bar, which made conversation and even ordering a chore as I had to walk to the end of the line to talk to others often and passing dishes became comical as well. There's only one table in the corner that seats 6 with the other two tables able to accommodate 3 people max. Simply put, if I can't reserve that big table for 4 people or more, I'd think twice about going. But the food and service are superb, so I'll deal with it!!
Amazing Boutique Wine Bar..
Staff is Awesome
Food was delicious. The sangria is a must try. The iberico ham was scrumptious and the Uni bites was amazing. The grilled Nigerian prawn was a homerun. Service was spot on and the chef’s counter was truly entertaining. Can’t wait to go back and try the aged steak.
We had a wonderful night here. The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful. We sat at the chefs table. It was lovely.
Went with my wife and two adult children. Food, service and drinks were simply excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Fun experience sitting at the chef's table to see the staff prepare the food.
Food was tasty. Pretty organized for only being open for 6 months.
Incredible food, incredible wine, incredible service. Ask for Joshua, his recommendations were spot on and his enthusiasm for the restaurant made the experience extremely memorable. Try the pulpo and the beet salad, you’re tastebuds will thank you!
Awesome place and awesome vibes! The food exceeded my expectations and the pricing is really reasonable. Their wine selection is awesome lots to pick from! If you're in a big group, I recommend just doing a bottle purchase instead of glasses.
Poorly prepared food, staff loitering about engaging in horseplay. Little concern for fine dining environment.
