   Wonderful experience, will be back and happy to refer to friends. The chef was happy to accommodate our food restrictions had the food was phenomenal. Chef actually hand delivered one of our plates (we did the tasting course) and it was great to be able to speak to him. Wine pairings went really well and were worth the cost. Wait staff was friendly, warm and the right amount of attentive, plus the hand written note was a lovely touch! The restaurant is casual and was very loud (might have been due to the large party also dining). Due to the price we expected the interior to be a bit fancier but it was cozy, comfortable and the food is well worth it. Looking forward to our return. Thank you Morchella!

   Outstanding meal, as usual. The food is gourmet. Beautiful presentation and very creative. We like the experience because the food is upscale, but the restaurant isnt fussy.

   We went to Morchella for Happy Hour with our daughter visiting from the Bay Area. We ordered everything on the menu…they selected the order of presentation. What a fantastic and varied tasting experience. Every dish featured fresh local and foraged ingredients and each had its own distinct flavor profile. The chef took time to visit our table and chat with us about his restaurant’s conception and his choices to source ingredients from his own garden and foraging. Our server was equally engaging through our meal. We highly recommend this place and will be returning early next month for dinner.

   The food was creative and interesting, but the restaurant didn't have any clue whether we or other groups had the reservations. Therefore, they had to relocate us as they realized a large group was on their reservation list. Moreover, the place was not warm enough even though we wore whatever we had with us. The server was attentive, but wasn't knowledgeable. Overall, we felt the price we paid for wasn't quite worth the experience we had.

    We had a group of seven sit down for the chefs tasting menu with the wine pairing. Over six courses, they poured just 3 tastings of wine. The first course was a single oyster, second was foraged greens, third was foie gras, fourth was asparagus, fifth was asparagus pasta, and the last was ice cream. The folks who opted out of foie gras were given bread. There was not enough food - we left hungry and disappointed. While the restaurant was very accommodating of dietary restrictions, the meal was very underwhelming.

    My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and I wanted to surprise her with a special dinner at Morchella. As we are both vegetarians, I specifically requested the Chef's Tasting Menu with vegetarian dishes only, and they were able to accommodate our needs. We were both impressed and completely satisfied with the meal. It was the perfect way to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Thank you again, and we are excited to return!

    I've been hearing about this location for a while. It inspires me to see someone and a restaurant that has this type of care about the food they use. I was completely impressed and loved all the bites. The staff was amazing, the location was great. And the owner was fantastic.

    We were so amazed at the creativity and amazing tastes. Three of us shared three appetizers and three entrees and two desserts and were overfull. None of us are food picture takers but we photoed every dish as each was a work of art.

    Lovingly crafted dishes with extremely high-quality ingredients. Everything was delicious. I think it’s the best sturgeon I’ve ever had. The food is made with passion and and integrity. The service was friendly and casual yet right on point. I highly recommend it, and I will return.

    We just did not care for the food or wine. We recommend that as a foraging restaurant, they provide context for what/where they forage. The flavors and textures were not good and two of three entrees came out cold. Desserts were pretty but bland. It was fairly expensive for the dishes.

    This place is fantastic! What a surprise. We opted for the chef's tasting menu and loved every bite. It's a bit loud, so not the place for a quiet business dinner. I'll definitely be back next time we are in Portland.

    For $98/person + $50 wine paring + $25 oysters… not worth it. We had 5 guests and we were all stunned. Portion is small as usual for 5 course meals but they were not filling at all. The wine wouldn’t come out on time with the meals and some people were served next earlier than others. The pictures on yelp were completely different than what we expected. I understand that the menu changes, but the plate and aesthetics were definitely not on the same level. I’m not sure about the wall art or what “ambiance” they were going for. We wrote down two persons’ restricted diet and they didn’t follow suit so she got her dessert after everyone ate since the chef had to make it special for her. We got there around 730 and dinner ended around 10.

    Great food, but timing inbetween courses could use some work, glasses of wine seem rather small, but bottle prices are great so, get a bottle! That albacore tartare was awesome

    Cameron is a very creative chef. The food is amazing and unlike any place else. Fresh foraged and beautiful presentation, but the unique combinations made the experience so special and tasty. A small place off the beaten path, but very special and wonderful, even by Portland standards. Wonderful oysters with Brussels sprout vinegar and celery oil. Fabulous sturgeon with scrumptious parsnips, focaccia with kohlrabi and nettle butter. Delectable mushrooms with hazelnuts. Celery root ice cream!! Wonderful. Kumquat tort. Terrific service. Nice little wine selection. Great alcohol free homemade soda.

    The food was absolutely amazing here. NO DRAMA with making a reservation like some other high end places that have the same quality. I felt everything was extremely well priced given the outstanding quality. It is clear that everyone who works there is passionate about what they do. The menu was creative and changes based on what they have available. The server knew the menu and what to suggest, but you can't go wrong! We loved it. I came to celebrate my 35th birthday here with my best friends and we will definitely be going back!

    No one is doing what Chef Cameron is doing at Morchella. Go for incredible takes on ingredients you're familiar with, and stay for delicious revelations from some you aren't.

    A unique concept for a restaurant that works extremely well. The dishes are prepared entirely with locally foraged and sourced ingredients. The preparations are simple and balanced, showcasing the characteristics of the seasonal elements. Everything was excellent -- a hallmark of a great restaurant.
