The food was delicious! Sat outdoors for evening dinner. Wonderful atmosphere, remarkable server and his knowledge of the menu. Such a great birthday dinner with family. Thank you, all the way from Philly Natives.
Amazing meal! Our service was also impeccable! Pasta was like being in Italy again.
Beautiful space. Great service. Wagyu bolognese, at $34, is overpriced but still delicious. Every thing else was on point.
When we arrived for dinner we were instantly sat and greeted by our waiter. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the whole night and helped us make informed decisions on our food choice. The food was delicious and met all expectations. Overall was a pleasant experience!
Delicious food and good service.
Went with my husband for date night. Started at the bar for happy hour and were sat at a table with Adam. Phenomenal waiter. Dis the tasting menu for 65/PP. was told it was five courses but it’s more like 20 plates of food. Everything was divine. This place is a must! Had the Versace on 7th, drunken wife and some other cocktail, the presentation was fantastic. Kevin was the manager. Exceptional service
Amanda provided fantastic service, thank you! Everyone really enjoyed the many dishes we tried. Overall a great night.
We did the tasting menu and it was wonderful!
We had a great time and the food was excellent. Our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive to our questions. Thank you
Service was great.
The service was so fast and amazing it really couldn’t have been better, the restaurant had a beautiful vibe very lovely. Things were just a bit pricy I felt but it is definitely an upscale place to dine. I would definitely recommend for a date or special occasion for an Italian food lover. A must try
Service was great and entertaining. Recommendations were perfect. Overall great experience.
Amazing!!!! Loved every bite. My boyfriend and I love finding new places to eat and Mora Italian has been on my list. Last night we had the focaccia bread, meatballs, and baby lettuce and goat cheese salad for an appetizer. The focaccia is a must so order it. My boyfriend ate half within 5 min of it hitting our table. For our main course we had the tagliatelle and ricotta cavatelli. Both dishes were delicious. The only part of dinner that was not my favorite was dessert. We had the Italian donuts. It was more like a roll with filling. Not my favorite. Will skip that next time and go for something else. My boyfriend and I can’t wait to go back.
As always, everything from the food to the wine to the service was absolutely fantastic. Our server took such amazing care of us and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a nice evening
Exceptionally good meal. The Polenta Cremosa was so good I could eat it every day of my life. The seared Octopus was a little tough--could have used additional tenderizing, but a lovely flavor. The heirloom tomato-melon salad was very fresh and and a great counterpoint to the richness of our other appys. For pasta course, the four of shared the capanelle and the fettucine. Both incredibly good, and the fettucine might have been the best I had ever had. For entree, we had two Divers scallops, a Branzino and the NY strip. The scallops were melt in your mouth---large, perfectly seared, and not a bit of grit. The Branzino skin was so crisp, a perfect match for the melting tenderness of the meat. The NY strip was good---ordered medium rare, was closer to medium, but nicely seasoned. The service team, from sommelier to runners worked as a team, making sure we were very well taken care of without intruding. Looking forward to our next visit.
We ordered the tasting menu. It included the signature Recco & pomodoro pasta! The dessert was a soft serve Sundae that had a variety of toppings to choose from. Our server Lisa was knowledgeable, pleasant & paced out our dinner perfectly!
Four of us were celebrating three birthdays and did the five course experience. Did not disappoint! Highly recommend!!!
Food was outstanding as it was before . Server was good , training anot
Great service is priceless these days our wait staff was very attentive
I was excited to go back to Mora after their reopening. I went with friends who had gotten married during the pandemic they gave us some complimentary Prosecco to start. I’m gluten free and still had plenty of options at Mora. We ordered the brussel sprouts and shishito peppers to start. They put the Tuscan crumble on the aide of the sprouts for me. Both were good. I would
Have liked a bit less lemon vinaigrette in the sprouts but still they were satisfying. The scallops were my main and done to perfection as was the chop that my friends split. Allison was our server and she was great! She brought us a complimentary salted caramel budino for dessert and put the crumbles on the side so we could all share. I know the menu has been changed a little and I didn’t see their meat and cheese board on it which was disappointing but I will be back.
Thank you so much for your comments & feedback Laura! I will be sure to share them with staff! I'm so happy to let you know that our Salumi & Cheese Board is currently back on our menu. We hope you enjoy it just as you did previously on your next visit! Happy Dining- Amanda, Director of Services
The atmosphere and ambiance were perfect. Our server, Fantasia was delightful. The Octopus and burata cheese were delicious! My steak could have been a little more rare. (She did offer to exchange it) Couldn’t decide which was better, the Versace on 7th or the Drunken wifey. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Phoenix.
Thank you so much for your comments, Kat! I'll be sure to let both Fantasia & the rest of the team know how much you enjoyed everything! We look forward to having you back in next time too! Amanda, Director of Service
Too humid for misters. Water getting everywhere. We’re told they couldn’t be shut off and we couldn’t be moved. Should have left then. Instead since we’ve had good experiences in past, we stayed although one in our party left w huge wet splotches on clothes. He was bemused by evening.
Service took forever. WaItress kept forgetting items. Seemed v preoccupied Brought items at wrong times. Huge wait between salads and entrees. Think she forgot to put in >1 hour. When we finally got bill she lost credit card. Didn’t seem very worried about it either. We insisted she look for it. Finally located it back at stand. Seemed to shrug as though we’d just get another. Extremely bad experience all around Crazy
One of our favorite places! The food is amazing and the staff makes the experience very enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your comments! I'll be sure to share them with your server! We look forward to seeing you again-- Amanda, Director of Service
Our server was great! The food was amazing. Will definitely come back when coming to town
Thank you so much! We are delighted to hear you had such a good time! We look forward to having you back! Amanda, Director of Service
I still haven’t found my new favorite everyday Italian Restaurant like I used to go to back East. All these Chefs seem to over engineer everything and it comes out average. Italian food is not that hard! This restaurant is really “Nuevo” Mediterranean more than Italian. Portions small, example my 1/2 chicken looked more like 1/2 Cornish Game Hen! Pasta dishes very small! Meatballs, small!
When going to an Italian restaurant, at the end, everyone should loosen their belt a notch and take home leftovers! Not here!
The face of this restaurant is on Chopped. Well…he has been chopped as far as I’m concerned!
Great service with good food will return..........
We were very excited to eat at Mora for my birthday dinner. We had heard amazing things about it and we had eaten at Cellaio in the Catskills numerous times and loved it.
We ( husband, son and myself) arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated soon afterwards. It took a while for our server to come to our table with water. He took our drink orders and quickly left. It took several minutes for him to come back. He answered our questions about the tasting menu and left again. We knew what we wanted but weren’t given a chance to place the order. He stops by again a few minutes later and hubby ordered. We still haven’t gotten our drinks. Also, the place is pretty busy but there are a lot of servers, 2 hostesses, 2 managers and at least 6 or 7 people in the kitchen. Definitely not under-staffed.
Our drinks finally arrive and we still wait another 10 minutes for apps. Meanwhile, the table next to us is sat. They get water and drinks and their apps before we do. Finally our apps arrive. Food is really good. We got a charcuterie board, a focaccia bread and a pizza to try along with the salads on the tasting menu. We just eat a few bites of the apps, knowing we have way more food coming. A busser takes our dirty plates and takes the leftovers to be boxed up. And then we really wait. It was at least 40 minutes before the next portion of the tasting menu came out. The male manager walked around the restaurant all night, looking, but never talking to patrons. The female manager finally came over, brought clean plates and silverware for the next course and apologized for the delay. She assured us the next course would be out soon. Then we waited some more. The frito misto and grilled octopus arrived 15 minutes after she told us it would be right out. It was another 20 minutes before the pasta arrived. Pasta was excellent, by the way. The main course, half a roasted chicken, arrived. Delicious. They did comp us 2 of the tastings. However, we won’t go back
Tagliatelle was outstanding!! Woke up thinking about it. Lively atmosphere, great service, and good recommendations from the server!
Thanks Robert for the kind comments! We dream about the Tagliatelle Wagyu Bolognese too! We're delighted to hear your had such a wonderful time! Hope to see you again-- Amanda, Director of Service
My wife and I ate out on our date night
at Mora. The service was great and the food was good but there's always room for improvement. I will recommend.
Very memorable experience! We will be back! The cocktails were amazing! Thank you!!
This was our first time back to Mora after they reopened. The food and wine was fantastic as always! Our server Calvin was fantastic and very knowledgeable on all the foods and thousands of questions that we asked about each dish! The sommelier was wonderful as well and made sure our glasses were always full! We really enjoyed ourselves at Mora.
Great experience as always. Food excellent and Adam was fantastic!
Service at the bar was a little slow but the food was tasty
The soft drinks were not free refills, and the portions look small but were quite filling. Overall good experience. We took our kids and the kids menu was simple but tasty.
Pasta great - fish not great. Service very slow towards the end. Server not too concerned about things
This was our first time at Mora Italian. It was a great place for our 34th wedding anniversary. We shared a sampling of several items on the menu and finished it off with the sundae. The wine selected by the sommelier Andrea went perfect with the menu items selected by our waiter Justin selected for us. Andrea and Justin were very attentive and made the experience that much more special. We will be back.
Food, wine, and athmosphere was excellent, as always!
Had an absolutely fantastic meal and experience at Mora. Justin our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Met the GM (didn’t catch his name) who was so very personable. The food was incredibly flavorful and the serving size was just enough to satisfy. We both enjoyed the homemade pasta, shared a bottle of wine and had gelato for dessert. Wonderful evening in Phoenix. Sat outside and was comfortable, even though it was over 100 outside, the fans and mist were cooling. Overall, fantastic evening and will definitely go back when we visit Scottsdale next time.
Excellent food and service! Would recommend to dine there anytime or a special occasion!
