Good food and atmosphere very expensive.
We went to Mooo for a Christmas/New Year night out. The hostess was very friendly and we were immediately brought to our table. Coat check is available too. The atmosphere is actually really modern and intimate. Our two top was tucked away in a corner with high back chairs, so I felt like we had a decent amount of privacy and the noise level of the restaurant didn't get in the way of conversation. Our server (Jamie) was very attentive and friendly - we did not feel rushed and he was able to give us a great wine rec. The FOOD was unbelievable. Presentation was really nice and everything was timed perfectly. Started with lobster mac and cheese. You need to get it - not too rich, unreal flavor, lots of lobster. We also got the tuna tartare - pictures don't do it justice, lots of really great quality fish. Steaks were cooked perfectly (he ordered medium, I ordered rare). Sides of whipped potatoes and cauliflower - we probably could have just gotten one. I didn't even have room for dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a nice night out in Boston for a special occasion!
A little loud and we reserved a special table that the 2 very young hostesses didn't seem to have a clue about
We were seated against a pole with the end of a very large party seated within two feet of us
Food was spectacular but was very disappointed in the atmosphere and the noise level
Staff was amazing, food was delicious from the apps to dessert. Moo performs at the top of their game
The steak was awesome
Our waiter Jeff was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of the restaurant and lived all his recommendations. He was also very personable and attentive. It was a fantastic night celebrating the holiday season with friends!
For a steakhouse, our group was very disappointed with the steak. They were not even warm and were tough. The waiter told us it was due to the grass fed cow which we knew is not true.
I had forgotten about Moo and decided to have lunch there at the last minute. The food was great, it was comfortable and elegant and conversation was easy. The service was really good. Even though it is a steak house we had a lobster roll that was really good, the lobster mac and cheese and the bolognese pasta. The pasta was wonderful, rich and perfectly done. A great place for a special lunch or dinner.
We were greeted warmly upon arrival and seated immediately even though one of our party was running late, a rare courtesy from the Boston restaurant scene, indeed.
The staff was very friendly, discreetly filling your glass, wiping away crumbs, removing empty plates, etc. Drinks and food were delivered in a timely fashion and any questions regarding the menu were answered expertly.
When our party was leaving, three different waiters thanked us for coming and wished us Happy Holidays.
So from start to finish, we were handle with warmth, expertise and chocolates at the end of our meal! Thank you, MOOO!
Host and wait staff were kind and considerate. They were happy to let us split two meals so that we could each taste the other person's lunch selection.
