Everything was amazing from the bread and butter to the dessert! Super romantic and cozy for our anniversary. Service was great.
Some of the best steaks and service we've ever had. The atmosphere is very contemporary and comfortable. The service was friendly helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered 14 oz grass-fed sirloin from new York with a side of au poivre sauce and a beef wellington with spinach and foie gras inside. On the side broccoli with pine nuts, mushroom risotto, and potato tots. No drinks just water. We ordered a lemon pie for dessert to share. It was all terrific. Most notable the broccoli and risotto and of course the steaks. Would skip the au poivre next time not because it's bad, but because the steak is so good, we didn't seem to bother using it. The total after tax and tip came to about $200. So definitely a $$ place. However this really is a special place. I definitely recommend for a special occasion.
Moo was awesome! Great food, service, ambiance. Perfect location for anniversary dinner.
Moo has received many good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It was a terrible experience. I made a reservation for 8:30PM and was not seated until 9:05PM. I told the manager this was unacceptable for such a high end restaurant where 2 people will be paying a bill well over $200. He did not seem to care and did not offer to make it right. Treated me as if it didn't matter if I walked right out the door. There have been many reviews about Moo having trouble with seating people on time but 35 minutes is excessive. I understand the business of turning tables, however the customer experience should be crucial especially with the high costs.
For my meal I had oysters and Lobster Bisque to start which were an A. I got the New York Sirloin for my entree which was about a C. Not to mention the steak knife they gave you was not really a steak knife. The jagged edged blade ripped through the meat instead of cutting it smoothly. The meat was a bit tough as well. I got Mashed potatoes and the Spinach as a side which were pretty good.
Abe & Louis is at least 2.5 times better meal and experience than MOO. Don't waste your time or your dollar you'll regret it.
Love Moo, and finally got a reservation. It seems like it books out weeks in advance, which is longer than I usually plan. I took advantage of a huge snowstorm with many cancellations , for a week day evening 7pm, and felt very lucky.
The food, the service, the decor, are amazing. I'd go there more often, but the prices are way out of my league. It looked like there were many business people charging it off to an expense report. Good for them.
Perfect lunch spot on a winter day. Excellent menu.
Wonderful!! Best steak restaurant in Boston and maybe the entire country!
Maurizio our waiter was spectacular, great food, great service. Boston’s hidden jewel would highly recommend . Don’t miss the Bananas Foster for desert
Lovely dining experience!
Foie gras and tuna tartare were absolutely melt in your mouth, to die for!
There must be better steakhouse in Boston. I'd pass on this place.
The food, drinks, waitstaff and atmosphere were amazing, the hostess on the other hand could’ve taken her attitude down a notch & she also never offered to take our coats. Instead we brought them to our table with us. Other than the not so pleasant first impression at the podium the place was amazing, would definitely go back.
Took my boyfriend who loves steak to this restaurant for his birthday. He kept using words like “scrumptious” to describe the food - it was all to die for. Even the bread rolls were incredible. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Great spot for a date night/special occasion.
We had a particularly excellent experience- food was impeccable as was the service
Good all around and valet at a reasonable price made it a great night.
Worth the splurge, service and food were excellent!
Our waiter was great . Tables were very tight together and the group sitting next to us was drunk , loud and obnoxious, especially for a Wednesday night . One particular female in the group was swearing and knocking things over and breaking glasses. It was very disruptive to our dinner . We did not complain but in the end one waiter did come over and apologized and said he did inform his manager who told him to offer us a free dessert? . That was nice of them to offer but the bill was still $300 for a dinner for two that came with a complimentary migraine.
It was my birthday dinner and the service and food were exceptional.
SeafooD sampler was not worth the money at all, it tasted fishy. Other than that, excellent sides, steaks, and service.
The staff were exceptional. The bread/butter was my favorite part of the entire dinner; not that the other items weren't good. The steak was very good. The potato tots weren't as exciting as they could be. I honestly think that if you prepared them more like "classic tator tots" they would fly off the menu. I would have also preferred that the potato skins were presented in a more classic style, rather than in an almost "twice baked" fashinon. the wedge/blue cheese salad was exceptional.
I didn't really appreciate being encouraged to sit at the bar, rather than being brought directly to the table; at least, the option should be availalbe not to first go to the bar.
I would wonder if there should be an upper age limit beyond which "children" could come but below which they aren't allowed. The restaurant is too nice to have kids running about and too expensive to have that type of atmosphere detract from an adult (date) type dinner.
My favorite Steakhouse in Boston.
The overall package is great: the meat is excellent, the wine list is good, the atmosphere is perfect for dinner with grownups: stylish and quiet.
We had a wonderful time. The food and service was amazing and I️ can’t wait to go back!
Anniversary dinner . Staff was great!
Mooo totally delivered - we had heard great things about this place from friends and it totally lived up to the hype. Great food and cocktails - high end service. Pricey but you get what you pay for.
Service was pretty good and the wait staff was very nice. The meal was good but really didn’t compare to other similar steak houses near by.
Way overpriced for a steak you could buy at whole foods and cook at home. Was my birthday so they put a candle in the cake we purchased for dessert and still charged us for it. Kind of hack when you’re dropping $350 on a dinner that they don’t include a free piece of cake for your birthday! Just my opinion. If you’re going to spend this kind of money, go to Abe and Louie’s.
I've been trying to get into Moo for about a year, and they are always booked in the evenings. Finally found a Sunday Brunch that worked. The restaurant in beautiful, the food is great, and the service wonderful. We ate well, and it wasn't too loud. I have a problem with background noise, and the decor (we sat in beautiful wing-back chairs) was brilliant. Great overall, but can't say it is outstanding, because it is not cheap. I guess that they are so popular that they don't need to be a bargain find, but for me, it will only be a special occasion destination. I can't spend 120 bucks on a couple of poached eggs (however well served, and they were served exceptionally well) and recommend it as "outstanding".
We were seated in what had to be the worst table location as all the service coming in/out of the kitchen went by our table. Waiters and service people were constantly in back of me, sometimes rubbing against the back of my chair. I understand a busy restaurant but his was just constant for our 2 1/2 hour experience. Moo should make this table location a table for two, not a table for four. Food was outstanding and service was excellent. I tip well when service meets or exceeds expectations however, it rubbed me the wrong way for having to pay for valet parking after dropping over 6 Bens' in this establishment.
Came here for lunch on a weekend. They gave us a nice comfy booth by the window. Had the burger, tuna tartare, and kale salad with shrimp. All were excellent, as well as the service. Will definitely return soon!
Really great experience. Food was delicious. Perfect for a date night or any special occassion. Would recommend
The food and service were exceptional. We really appreciated our server’s knowledge of the different cuts/farms as well as the massive wine list. Would highly recommend for any occasion!
Wonderful staff, very attentive, food was delicious
Absolutely wonderful! Best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had in my life!
Great blackened sirloin! Dumplings, cocktails, service, and bananas foster.
Duxbury oysters were terrific. The service was efficient, friendly and spot on. The meal itself [small filet mignons, asparagus, creamed spinach, onion rings] was fantastic. Our server (can’t remember her name) was exceptionally pleasant. Oh, and Bananas Foster was among the best we’ve had. It’s not cheap by any means, but the value of the experience was well worth it. The filet in particular was PERFECTLY cooked -we even talked about returning the next day just for another steak.
Excellent from start to finish.
I love Mooo, I must have been there at least 7-8 times in the a span of a year. They have amazing brunch, I recommend the Duck Confit Hash and the Rancher's 12 oz Steak. The cinnamon rolls and the wagyu dumplings are also my other favorites. I celebrated my birthday, and it was a nice little intimate party of 7. Unfortunately Mooo is very disapointing with reservations. The restaurant was basically half empty from 10:30 AM-1PM and they hadn't let me make a larger reservation, or a reservation for a little later at 11 or 11:30 for party of any size. The service and food is fantastic when you get there. But reservations-that is just bad customer service that really upsets me and they need to work on it.
I came here with my boyfriend as a special going away evening as he studied abroad all next semester. The food and staff were incredible, as well as the environment. Will definitely return.
