Mooo Ratings and Reviews
Way overpriced for a steak you could buy at whole foods and cook at home. Was my birthday so they put a candle in the cake we purchased for dessert and still charged us for it. Kind of hack when you’re dropping $350 on a dinner that they don’t include a free piece of cake for your birthday! Just my opinion. If you’re going to spend this kind of money, go to Abe and Louie’s.
I've been trying to get into Moo for about a year, and they are always booked in the evenings. Finally found a Sunday Brunch that worked. The restaurant in beautiful, the food is great, and the service wonderful. We ate well, and it wasn't too loud. I have a problem with background noise, and the decor (we sat in beautiful wing-back chairs) was brilliant. Great overall, but can't say it is outstanding, because it is not cheap. I guess that they are so popular that they don't need to be a bargain find, but for me, it will only be a special occasion destination. I can't spend 120 bucks on a couple of poached eggs (however well served, and they were served exceptionally well) and recommend it as "outstanding".
We were seated in what had to be the worst table location as all the service coming in/out of the kitchen went by our table. Waiters and service people were constantly in back of me, sometimes rubbing against the back of my chair. I understand a busy restaurant but his was just constant for our 2 1/2 hour experience. Moo should make this table location a table for two, not a table for four. Food was outstanding and service was excellent. I tip well when service meets or exceeds expectations however, it rubbed me the wrong way for having to pay for valet parking after dropping over 6 Bens' in this establishment.
Duxbury oysters were terrific. The service was efficient, friendly and spot on. The meal itself [small filet mignons, asparagus, creamed spinach, onion rings] was fantastic. Our server (can’t remember her name) was exceptionally pleasant. Oh, and Bananas Foster was among the best we’ve had. It’s not cheap by any means, but the value of the experience was well worth it. The filet in particular was PERFECTLY cooked -we even talked about returning the next day just for another steak.
I love Mooo, I must have been there at least 7-8 times in the a span of a year. They have amazing brunch, I recommend the Duck Confit Hash and the Rancher's 12 oz Steak. The cinnamon rolls and the wagyu dumplings are also my other favorites. I celebrated my birthday, and it was a nice little intimate party of 7. Unfortunately Mooo is very disapointing with reservations. The restaurant was basically half empty from 10:30 AM-1PM and they hadn't let me make a larger reservation, or a reservation for a little later at 11 or 11:30 for party of any size. The service and food is fantastic when you get there. But reservations-that is just bad customer service that really upsets me and they need to work on it.
Beef Wellington at it's finest. My husband had the porterhouse...son had the tenderloin. Split sides of tots and mashed potatoes. This was a bit hard to get to on a Friday night, but well worth it. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the differences in cuts, as there are many. True professional.
Highly recommend this steak place...
I did not find the Caesar salad and bone-in ribeye to be very good.
Additionally, we were upsold another wine because we were told it was a “comparable” price. When the bill came, we noticed it was $65 more than what we originally picked. Not very comparable at all.
I had high expectations and was thoroughly disappointed.
We had our New Years Day brunch at Mooo this year and I was not disappointed. I thought the front desk was very kind and friendly. I had extra friends drop in and they were accommodated right way by our server. I would definitely recommend Mooo for a get together. We had an excellent time and the service was on point. We were a group of 8 that turned into a group of 11. We will definitely be back dinner and for next New Years Day brunch.
We ordered steak well done. When we cut into the steak I and my friend were disappointed to see blood dripping. We brought this to our server and he asked us to cut the steak in the middle. When he noticed the steak was not Well Done and it was still raw (it was red and raw) he said he will take it back. By this time steak was not hot. It was warm to cold. After few minutes they brought back the steak. We were surprised to see that they brought back same piece of steak. It is shocking to see that a high end steak place like this would be so cheap that they decided to reheat and Cook cold steak.
When we brought this to the manager’s notice (Malissa), she strarted saying “oh we just put some sauce and recook the steak. This is quite normal” I said Melissa you know quite well not to recook cold steak. It is clear they don’t care about quality.
I also ordered Bolegnese and was not impressed with it. Their sister restaurant L’Andana in Burlington has much better Bolegenese.
I have been to Moos several times in the last 12 months. It’s clear they have gone down in quality and I would not go to Mooo again.
There are much bette steak places that serve high quality steak than Mooo.
Everything was great from the valet at the front door to the service inside and delicious food on the table. Be careful of the dinner rolls- they are sooo good! I filled up on them and it turned into man vs food trying to finish 3lbs of lobster and the sides!
Even though we made the reservation about a month in advance our table was over in the bar area in an oval shaped booth making it difficult for conversation for a group of 5. Upon arriving the hostess was unsure if there was valet service and when asked about moving to a table in the main dining area instead of the bar where it was quite drafty, we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. For the price of the menu items it was disappointing to not be in the main dining room.
Booked into Mooo for Christmas Day for 1 pm but due to a clith had to change it to 3pm. The manager William who I have to say was charming and obliging sorted us out no problem.
Service at the table was excellent all the way through.
Well the food was the best we have all tasted anywhere in Boston .
We eat out a lot and I can tell you Mooo did not disappoint.
Cannot wait to visit again.

We booked Christmas Day At 12 and were suprised because it was not brunch but dinner menu. (Nothing on line suggested such). Having said that all the food we had, the setting and the service were wonderful. I would definitely return for a special meal and will recommend.
I ordered the Lobster Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary from my waiter. My meal was delivered to my table by someone who wasn't my waiter. When I started to dig in, I realized that what I had been served was just traditional Eggs Benedict and NOT the Lobster Eggs Benedict. I assumed that I had not spoken the word 'Lobster' clearly enough, so I just accepted what I was given. The Eggs Benedict was underwhelming and DEFINITELY not special enough for its pricetag, After too long, my waiter arrived with my Bloody Mary and seemed surprised that my food had arrived: a clear indication that something is amiss with this restaurant's management.
More damning is that when my check arrived, they had charged me for the LOBSTER Eggs Benedict I'd originally ordered, but never received. This restaurant purports to be high-end, but the internal miscommunication is VERY low-end.
